It's a vibe from boat life to beach life. It's a one of a kind 100 year old place that's indoor outdoor. The servers are really friendly and the the bar is almost always packed.

It's hit or miss with this place. Typical bar food, but can be disappointing. I've been here when the food is decent, and I've also been disappointed to say the least.

Basic water-side restaurant. Pros - good location. Cons - super loud music and you cannot hear the people at your table. The food is basic. The chips and salsa are bland and store brought. The burritos are flavorless. Not much to look at nor worth eating at. Spend your time elsewhere.

    Coconut shrimp "dinner"

Disappointing only begins to describe our dining experience with the White Elephant. When we came inside, we noticed a number of patrons smoking at the bar. We asked for a table outside which was readily available. And - the guests at the two tables nearest us were also smoking. No escaping the second hand smoke. Rick ordered the steak sandwich - medium rare. Not sure why they give you a choice. The sandwich was well done - as in - overcooked. The sandwich came on a toasted hoagie bun. The meat was tough and not tasty. Fortunately they had A-1 sauce to help with the taste. Fries were - fine. I ordered the coconut shrimp "dinner" - which comes with rice and a vegetable medley of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Um hum - that vegetable medley was more like a solo (the carrots) with backup singers of broccoli stems and a few pieces of cauliflower. The broccoli floret you see in my picture is the only one on my plate. Those veggies were steamed - but zero seasoning. No butter, no salt, nothing. Just the carrots and their veggie friends. The rice? I thought it was a bad rice-a-Roni mix - but that's giving too much credit to Rice-a-Roni. I'm not really sure how they managed to get this side dish of rice to be so tasteless and bad- but they did. The shrimp? It's hard to do coconut shrimp poorly. And frankly - the shrimp were fine. I ate all 8 of my shrimp. But the sauce? Heinz sweet and sour in a package? I could have gone to McDonald's to get that! You can't make your own shrimp sauce of sweet Thai Chili? Mango pineapple? Cilantro melon? Honey and orange? Seriously - I can think of quite a few inexpensive and easy options to make your own sauce that would taste much better than the sugar laden Heinz sweet and sour that you serve. (I asked about the veggies with the meal - I did not ask about the sauces available for the shrimp - shame on me.) I ordered one of their "tropical drinks" - a vodka lemonade that would be $6 - $8 anywhere else in the area - but was $12 at White Elephant. The "smart" patrons were those who had a friend with a boat. They pulled up to the dock, got some drinks to go - and headed back out. That might be the best way to enjoy the White Elephant.

Karaoke Sunday was a blast! Didn't have any food because I think there were better options next door but we stayed for karaoke all night Sunday. Servers were attentive, drinks were reasonably priced. Place is huge and they had fans placed throughout for everyone to be comfortable.

Amazing that they are open after Manasota key has been so devastated by Hurricane Milton- just piles of sand and damage everywhere. Therefore also understandable that the menu and drink selection very reduced. Views still awesome and staff friendly and helpful

It was decent, nothing over the top. Food was just ok.. wife got the turkey Reuben that basically had no coleslaw, burger was decent nothing saying come back to buy again. Easy access by boat. Service decent, two brothers singing on the stage was decent. I would go back and try it again, just needs a little better vibe, maybe we boated in to early in the day.

Service was great and atmosphere is fun. please keep in mind that during karaoke the folks that frequent this bar will choose TRASH songs. I felt like I was at a middle school dance in Alabama where they only played country slow dance songs. Oof But would come again but when they get a vetting process for the music.

Waiting quite some time to come here. Heard great things about it but let me tell you, if you want to experience disappointment this is the place. The two stars are solely for the singer that was there live (he did a great job) and the burger. For a place by the beach that claims seafood as a strong suit they really drop the ball. 24 dollars for a single fillet of bland grouper, 3 pieces of potatoes (they looked seasoned but 0 flavor), and frozen vegetables. The burger was halfway decent which was their saving grace. Truly not a place I will come back to nor recommend unless you are looking for a place to waste your time and money at. In which case you can just give it to me instead!

It was about 1pm yesterday (Saturday) and were so grateful to not have to wait. Our server came by immediately, smiling and friendly even though I know that she was running her ass off with other tables. She got our drinks immediately and still took the time to help us with the menu. We ordered the burger and a blackened grouper sandwich. Both were delicious and I'd definitely order them again! The only disappointment were the fries. They were luke warm, at best, and really nothing special. After paying, we stopped off inside and got some VERY DELICIOUS soft serve ice cream (Vanilla/Pineapple Swirl). I was honestly skeptical about the pineapple ice cream, but it was absolutely delicious! We also bought an apple fritter, which was also as delicious as the ice cream and a great way to end a great meal. One of the highlights of our dining experience, was a dolphin that was in the waterway right next to the restaurant. It was swimming back-and-forth in front of us and looked like it was chasing smaller fish or at least playing with them. So the dolphin show was a very unexpected and very enjoyable addition to our experience there. I definitely recommend this place and I look forward to going back again soon, especially now that the snowbirds are starting to fly back north! Sorry, no pictures this time!

As vegetarians there were ZERO options on the limited menu. The server was super sweet and let us check out the buffet before deciding to stay or not. All the sides were vegetarian and the price of 24.99 each wasn't too bad, so we stayed. The buffet included ham, turkey, fried flounder as the mains, with sides of mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, carrots, mixes veggies, Mac and cheese, rolls, corn bread, coleslaw, and roasted potatoes. It also included a small salad bar and about 4 dessert options. There was also Easter candy scattered on the table and plastic eggs to open with treats inside-- making the lunch extra fun! As adults we never get to open easter eggs! We also enjoyed the live music. Five stars, but subtracted one for the lack of true vegetarian options with the limited menu. Thanks for making our day special!
