After driving by here numerous times, had never noticed it until a friend who was a frequent diner at the Spinnaker Cafe for many years, suggested we stop here for breakfast. Obviously popular with locals who appreciate the bright, clean ambience, excellent service and belt-busting portions, all served with a smile at a reasonable price. Was told their delicious, coffee is brewed from in-house grinder and our cups were never empty. Will certainly make a point of stopping here again when in Englewood.

Biscuits and gravy. Presentation maybe off, but flavor is flaving!

Very good food, and very lovely people! I've been multiple times with my partner, and I've always had a great experience. I typically get the biscuits and gravy, and they always come out perfect!

You can tell this is a well loved local spot as you walk in. There is a true diner feel and a welcoming atmosphere. There were specials on the board that were tempting, but I went with the garden skillet. I'm glad I did, the eggs were cooked perfectly (soft poached as I ordered) and the potatoes were somehow still crispy under the veggies and eggs. Our server (and everyone working, really) made sure we had what we needed and that we enjoyed our breakfast time with them.

two eggs over, easy seated, rye toast, great home, fries, and new sausage with a great flavor

I don't give many reviews unless they are excellent, and this is a five star. I've been coming here a few years, but haven't been here in probably two years. Excellent. two eggs, real seeded rye toast, home fries were excellent, and the new sausage links have a tremendous taste. I wish it was closer to me. Great value also by the way.

Great diner for breakfast with fast service and friendly staff. The dining area was clean and they keep the tables turning. We didn't have to wait for a table around 11am on a Saturday, which was great. I ordered the big breakfast and it was a ton of food for a great price. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage was tasty, and I loved the home fries. The portion was exactly what I needed! The huge case of bakery items look amazing but I was so full that I didn't try anything.

It's located at the end of a non-descript strip mall with no curb appeal but inside is surprisingly welcoming with bright colors, plenty of ambient lighting with clean tables and floor. Even better was our food which was delivered quickly, well prepared and hot. And the coffee was good too and our cups were never allowed to get less than half full! Service was great and the friendly servers seemed to know many of the customers by name and in some cases asking, "Do you want your usual?", a sure sign of familiarity with the patrons, many appearing to be locals. My friend was highly impressed with his French toast (made with thick bread) with fried eggs and a cup of fruit which was almost overflowing. I experimented outside my usual comfort zone and ordered a sausage quesadilla which was delicious and almost more than I could eat. My friend said the men's room was "a complete mess" and needed a good cleaning. I never noticed any mention of a service charge for credit cards on the menu or any posting of this on the door and was shocked to find a 3.5% "cust. ser." charge on my bill after submitting my card for payment. Will be prepared with ample cash next time.

It took a while for the server to come, one person took our drink order and then another waitress apologized for the mix-up and wait and took our food order. I saw on a board behind the bar the drink specials, so I ordered a glass of wine for $5. I got the cobb salad and my boyfriend got the swordfish entrée. The cobb salad was huge and full of all the things (eggs, tomatoes, cranberries, blue cheese, corn and bacon). I did not care for the chicken on it. It seemed pre-packaged (it was nicely cubed and cold). Swordfish was a little over cooked but we liked the veggies and mango salsa on top. When we got the bill the glass of wine was $6.08 and the miller lite was $4.67, which are not was noted on the drink specials board and the price was odd. The restaurant was closing and service wasn't great, so I didn't get to ask the waitress why the difference. There is plenty of parking and lots of in and outdoor seating. I saw a two dart boards, cornhole boards and mounted TV's. Seems like a great local spot on the water to catch the sunset and just have a good chill evening.

I had the baby back ribs, they were so tender. Sides: the fries used to be gluten free but are now fried in a shared fryer. Since I didn't feel comfortable eating any of the sides I asked if I could have a caesar salad instead (no croutons). They do not offer side salads (should!) but since my order came with 2 sides she just charged me $4 for the originally $16 salad in substitute for the two $5 sides included in my order. The atmosphere was wonderful. Dick and Kammy played live music and the sunset on the deck was beautiful! Would definitely come back to try the gluten free chocolate torte :)
