Biscuits and gravy. Presentation maybe off, but flavor is flaving!
Esther G.

Very good food, and very lovely people! I've been multiple times with my partner, and I've always had a great experience. I typically get the biscuits and gravy, and they always come out perfect!

After driving by here numerous times, had never noticed it until a friend who was a frequent diner at the Spinnaker Cafe for many years, suggested we stop here for breakfast. Obviously popular with locals who appreciate the bright, clean ambience, excellent service and belt-busting portions, all served with a smile at a reasonable price. Was told their delicious, coffee is brewed from in-house grinder and our cups were never empty. Will certainly make a point of stopping here again when in Englewood.

You can tell this is a well loved local spot as you walk in. There is a true diner feel and a welcoming atmosphere. There were specials on the board that were tempting, but I went with the garden skillet. I'm glad I did, the eggs were cooked perfectly (soft poached as I ordered) and the potatoes were somehow still crispy under the veggies and eggs. Our server (and everyone working, really) made sure we had what we needed and that we enjoyed our breakfast time with them.

two eggs over, easy seated, rye toast, great home, fries, and new sausage with a great flavor
Jim M.

I don't give many reviews unless they are excellent, and this is a five star. I've been coming here a few years, but haven't been here in probably two years. Excellent. two eggs, real seeded rye toast, home fries were excellent, and the new sausage links have a tremendous taste. I wish it was closer to me. Great value also by the way.

Let's start off with me saying I've been to all 50 Stateys and10 countries. I've always enjoyed…read morethis local bar and grill, the staff is attentive without being obtrusive and always pleasant. I usually have the fish, but today I had the Osso Buco and it was darn near perfect. I've had this dish most places I've been but this dishes flavor and texture were second to none. The colagen had turned to a quite lovely texture that was mouthwatering and tasty. Chewing was almost irrelevant And the flavor was as familiar as your cat's indifference (if you're not familiar, it's almost as good as your dog's unconditional love). This dish is as good as it gets and very simply the best bang for the buck in Florida.

Our entrees came with soup-both were delicious. We tried the baked potato and chicken soup and really liked them both! I had the mushroom Swiss burger as my entree. It arrived looking delicious and it tasted even better! The combination of Swiss cheese, mushrooms and the burger was balanced perfectly! I will be delighted to have this again! My mom had the meatloaf platter, and enjoyed every bite! She had enough to take home leftovers for another day! We loved the food!! It's exactly what you hope for at a neighborhood diner! We will be coming here again soon!!

Let me start by saying at 3:00 on a Saturday it is empty…read more The menu on line is Not the one we were given. We were served right away with a table and drinks. My wife chose the chicken salad wrap with the homemade chips. She loved it. Chips were not salted. I ordered the Ken & barb burger medium , with potato salad. It was ok juicy, greasy, flavorless same with the potato salad. We will try it again for dinner but not impressed. $47 with tip 2 sodas no dessert.

Beautiful waterfront restaurant with a HUGE tiki-hut. We went on Easter for lunch, not knowing it…read morewas a man Easter buffet and a very limited menu. As vegetarians there were ZERO options on the limited menu. The server was super sweet and let us check out the buffet before deciding to stay or not. All the sides were vegetarian and the price of 24.99 each wasn't too bad, so we stayed. The buffet included ham, turkey, fried flounder as the mains, with sides of mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, carrots, mixes veggies, Mac and cheese, rolls, corn bread, coleslaw, and roasted potatoes. It also included a small salad bar and about 4 dessert options. There was also Easter candy scattered on the table and plastic eggs to open with treats inside-- making the lunch extra fun! As adults we never get to open easter eggs! We also enjoyed the live music. Five stars, but subtracted one for the lack of true vegetarian options with the limited menu. Thanks for making our day special!
