    Mutton and chicken puff
    Lakshmi A.

Lo CC aged in the prime area and ambience is okayish. Bit difficult to get seat when it's crowded. Self service and order has to be place prior before seating. Biriyani tastes like authentic Hyderabadi style with all flavours infused in their mutton and rice. No spice level determined. Pieces were cooked soft and tender. Family pack is sufficient for 5 adults to complete it at a stretch. Got 3 slices and Alan with raita. Preferred to take water along.

The best biryani in DFW. I had the Chicken Biryani and it is amazing. It has the true hydrabadi taste. The service is good, it can be better. The plate of Chicken biryani is perfect for two or three people. I also tried their chicken sheek kabab roll and it was excellent. For dessert I had kadu ke kheer, it was amazing and tasted out of this world. I finished off my lunch with a cup of chai. I thought it was good. I have eaten at this restaurant a few times and the biryani is always consistent. They also make excellent rumali roti, not many restaurants serve that in the United States. The bread is awesome. The ambiance is ok, and I believe they're working on it. There are other branches in frisco and Plano and they are horrible. The food is to spicy. If you can make the trip to Irving do it.

Ordered Mutton and chicken dum biryani. Mutton biryani taste was good but the chicken in chicken dum was undercooked. And the worst is the service these guys providing here is ridiculously worst. We live in mckinney area and when we went to dfw airport to dropoff parents, we ordered dinner to go here. Ordered food at 7.30pm and we went to this place around 9.30pm, but the idiots at work missed the order though it was in the system. We had a baby and these idiots made us wait for 30+ mins. Finnalt we made home by 10.45pm. Guess what, some idiots who run business dnt care about their customers or customer experience. They just need money. This one is one of those. Finally I found one place to strike off from visiting again in irving area. Very irresponsible, unaccountable idiots.

Ordered lunch for my team around 10:19am for a pickup at 12:30pm. I ordered ahead because we have 30min for our lunch and it already takes us 6min to drive over there. I showed up at 12:22 and let them know I was here and to my surprise they didn't check their order system to see if any orders had came in. No apology and was just told to wait 10min. As soon as I walked about that when we got the email and text saying my order was confirmed. So I knew it was a restaurant issue and not that they didn't get notified. They just didn't check. After waiting almost 20min the food was finally ready. We ordered 2 - chicken tikka masala and 2 - chicken curry and garlic naan. The garlic naan was burnt. The chicken curry was horrible pieces of meat and none of it came with rice??? I paid about $72 for all of this and it was just horrible. Would never go back!

The food is usually really good but today it was off. The Mutton Briyani was bland and the rice was undercooked. The chicken Briyani was the same but they only gave use 4 pieces of chicken in the whole plate. But the worst part was the service. We told them about the chicken Briyani and the manager said he agreed it looked off and told us he would give us more chicken in the plate. He took our plate into the kitchen and we waited for him to come out for almost 30 minutes and when we asked the person at the counter where our food was she said she had no idea and told us the manager had left. Bro took out plate we paid for and never brought it back smh. The service was very poor and VERY SLOW. And my uncle is a regular here and never experienced this type of service or food quality. Hopefully they improve in the future

Pakistani food tends to more meat based and less vegetable options. We came here on a Sunday. They has quite a few To Go customers because they have a special on Sunday for breakfast. We got there at 12:30 and our waitress was very sweet. However, she was overwhelmed. There was another table that left due to the long wait. But, when we got the food, it was delicious. The vege samosas were very tasty and quite a bit of spice. We also got The Dera Grill Sampler which had chicken, beef, abs goat chops. The Chicken Tikka Masala was also very tasty. The Naan was light and fluffy. The Chicken Biryani was very tasty as well. This place has good food. But it has issues that every whole in the wall does. Sometimes, it is a little understaffed and the wait can be a little long. I think Pakistan/Indian restaurants are trying to survive in the post Covid era. They used to make most of their business with the buffet. But they are adapting to take out orders and limited staff for in person dining. If you are patient with the above issues, the food is worth it. We will definitely come back.

The crunchy onions that retain structure was absolutely divine. I could eat this everyday. Brisket - we didn't get a fatty piece which I liked because it allowed me to not get full easily Sichuan Lamb Ribs - softest lamb I have ever had (that wasn't in a curry) and the rub on it was not only the perfect amount but a perfect blend Tandoori Turkey - this was really moist and not spicy, great choice for those who do not like red meat Seekh Kabob Sausage - the casing was well done and the flavor profile wasn't overpowering, sometimes desi spices can overtake the meat and that was not the case here (no pun intended) Kochumber salad - well seasoned and I am so glad it is on the menu because you need a fresh element to palate cleanse and cut through bbq fat They open at 11am and the line started forming 10:30am, it moves at a good pace. "Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.
