My friends recommended this place for the best kebabs and dumplings (momos) in town, and I'm glad I tried it! I had the chilli momos, chicken momos, and tikka masala momos. The tikka masala momos were my favorite--so flavorful and creamy. I also ordered fried rice, veg chowmein, and potato chilli. The potato chilli was really tasty and crispy. The veg chowmein was a bit too spicy for me, even though I ordered medium spice--next time, I'll go for mild. If you love dumplings, you should definitely try this place! The food tastes very authentic. It's a BYOB spot with a simple setup of about 8-10 tables. Highly recommend!

This Nepali restaurant has been my go to for their momo, thali, and chowmein, but my recent visit was very disappointing. I started with the buff sukuti set served with beaten rice(Chuira), potato pickle (alloo achar) and tomato sauces (achar) and it was quite good. However, I also ordered the mutton sekuwa thali and chicken thali and both were such a let down. So both thali were identical with only difference being the meat. They both came with lentil soup (daal) which tasted stale and watery, the cauliflower-potato curry (aloo gobi) was bland, and the papad was soggy. The chicken curry lacked flavor, while the mutton was average. The mustard saag and pickles were good. No dessert was included in the thalis, which was unusual. A major issue was the garlic naan, which had what appeared to be a white hair. Although staff claimed it might be garlic thread, it was off-putting and ended the meal for me. The small space requires adjustment, and the tap water felt questionable (opt for bottled water). The servers were kind and attentive, but overall, the quality of food needs significant improvement. p.s. only giving one extra for previous experience

Recommended by a Nepalese friend that mentioned that Kabab n Kurry has the best representation of Nepalese food so we tried it. The portions were huge and prices were fairly cheap. All the dishes were very flavorful with lots of spices. They had the best Momo I have ever tried! Staff were sweet and friendly. It seemed like it was family owned but not sure. Check this place out if you wanted to try Nepalese food.

We went here on the recommendation of a colleague and it was a great suggestion. It was a long drive for us but we were in Irving for something else, so off we went. The place is modest, maybe even a candidate for Guy's DDD. It's small with about 10 tables or so of different sizes. We came for the mo:mos and they did not disappoint. A mo:mo is a Nepalese dumpling (from the country of Nepal, northeast of India). I ordered the combo of sekuwa chicken and 5 chicken mo:mos and they were beyond phenomenal. I won't be able to think about any other food for weeks. Although I've only had mo:mos a couple of times, these were the best I ever had by far. The flavor and execution was excellent. Highly recommended. I would get those every time. The accompanying sekuwa chicken was also phenomenal. Sekuwa is an Indian spice that is used as a marinade. The flavor was deep, rich, complex, and sophisticated. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy. The sauce that it came with on the side was super spicy and totally unnecessary IMO. The wife and I also split a butter chicken dish and it was very flavorful. The chicken was super tender and not dried out. The naan bread seemed to be steamed as it lacked that crispy exterior but it was good nonetheless. The masala tea was very tasty and a perfect addition. Prices are very reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful. If we lived closer, I would eat here at least once a week. Every time we will be in Irving we are returning here for sure.

I've always wanted to try Nepalese food and finally made it to Irving Kabab N Kurry after several recommendations and it did not disappoint. 5/5 Chicken Momos: Ofc I had to order the most famous Nepalese dish. These were super flavorful and delicious. I really enjoyed the sauce that came with it but I dipped mine in the Chicken Tikka and it was even better. 4/5 Chicken Tikka: Taste a little different than the Indian versions, but I like it! It was very creamy, sweet, and flavorful. I do wish that it came with rice, both rice and naan costs extra. 5/5 Sekuwa Chicken: One of the star dishes! The chicken was SO moist and the flavor was very deep and complex. I really liked the dry, toasted rice that it came with and the other side dishes. Overall, very authentic restaurant with amazing food. The portions were pretty generous for the price. Service was very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Of the 4 Nepali restaurants I've tried across Dallas, Kabab N Kurry has had the best Momos thus far. Its also the only place that has hand made peels, and thats pretty much what is giving it the edge. The peels are chewy and delicious, and the filling is very well seasoned. The Thali was very complete, and the curry was good. The chicken was a little over cooked but thats pretty common for thali curries as its not made to order. The Pakora was great. Super well seasoned and fresh out the fryer. Served with momo sauce too, which is a great paring.

We arrived on Sunday and we were seated right away, we went looking for chicken momo. We arrived at a perfect time, only two tables were seated. By the time we left, it was full. We started with Veg Pakora, veggies fritters with dipping sauce. We got the Chicken momo and we added a plate of a common favorite, Butter chicken. Both dishes were delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

My quest to try and review every Nepali restaurant in a 10 mile radius continued with Irving Kabab N Kurry. I've been in person to this restaurant in the past, but it's been a good couple years and so decided to try them again to leave a review based on my most latest experience. They have some really good fried chicken sausages, and they're done differently than those in other Nepali joints because they season aggressively with spices and add onions and cilantro. They're paired with a nice tomato/chili sauce and a perfect way to start the meal. The fried rice opted for included three kinds of protein - chicken, goat meat and shrimp. Wish the rice was seasoned a bit more for my palate, otherwise it was fine. The chicken sekuwa (roasted meat) is usually paired with choila (beaten rice), but in this case the rice was normal but seasoned. It also came with a side of veggies. The chicken was moist on the inside. Except for being a tad higher in the sodium level, it was an otherwise very flavorful option.

Of course, I ordered the chicken steam momo, which is consistently good as always. I also tried the Timur chicken for the first time, and it was really good...so good that I ordered a second one. The presentation and flavor were great. The first order was slightly crispier than the second, so the flavor profile felt a little different. Both were good, but I do wish the texture was more consistent. I also got the Badel Sadeko (marinated wild boar sauté), which I always order. It was excellent as usual, consistent in both presentation and flavor. Definitely one of my favorites on the menu. Now for the disappointment: the chicken thali. Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The rice tasted like it was a day old. It came with a cauliflower and potato curry, which was okay. The dal (lentil soup) also tasted like it had been sitting for a while, almost as if some ghee was added right before serving to freshen it up. The biggest letdown was the chicken curry. It was flavorless and watered down, very disappointing compared to the other dishes. The thali also came with saag (mustard), achar, and a gulab jamun (probably canned) for dessert. Those were fine, but nothing special. p.s. The service was perfect! Our server was the sweetest!

This time I went a bit all out and ordered the butter chicken momo, creamy Sichuan momo, tandoori momo, steamed momo, and the Delhi masala momo. Honestly, this visit was way better. Last time the biggest issue was the sauce, it just wasn't enough and everything felt pretty dry, but this time they really fixed that and the sauces actually showed up, which made a huge difference. Everything tasted solid overall, though it really depends on what you like since the flavors are pretty different across the menu. The momo wrappers are on the thicker side, so if you're someone who prefers a thinner skin, just keep that in mind because that was the case with all the ones I tried. My favorite ended up being the tandoori momo, even though it was a bit salty, the flavor was really good. I usually don't go for butter chicken momo, but that one surprised me, it was actually a hit and everyone at the table liked it. The Delhi masala momo was vegetarian and still packed with flavor, and the creamy Sichuan momo was also pretty good. The place was pretty busy when we went, but the service was quick, so overall this time it felt like a much better experience.

I tried... after a long wait of it telling me it was "working on it", it finally failed. When I called, I encountered the expected language barrier, so I decided I'd just go to the place and show them the order on my phone to avoid any confusion. Ambiance was just as expected. Inside a gas station convenience store. No frills. Perfectly fine by me. The first guy that showed up to help me was too busy cooking and sent some woman over. I tried to place my order with her. When I said "pork" for the momo, an option listed on the menu, I was told "no pork". Apparently only chicken. Then I tried ordering the chicken biryani. Pretty sure I pronounced it correctly--or at least close enough since it's worked just fine at other places. She had no idea what I was wanting. I showed her the order on my phone. I think she was telling me it was also not available; I really wasn't sure. Unfortunately, I had to leave. I wasn't feeling the "friendly 5-star experience" that other reviewers mentioned as well as what I've always experienced at the other Nepali restaurants in the area that I've been to. I see "under new ownership" mentioned on the website. Perhaps the 5-star reviews were for the previous owners? Disappointed.

My daughter lost her first tooth at that pub, such good memories of years past. There are still Guinness signs hanging behind the bar. Seeing those old signs brought a single tear to my eye. One door closes and another opens. The restaurant that now calls the old pub their new home is great! All is good with the new place, you might even say great. The interior is not that of a pub anymore. It has been completely redone and the dining room is quite nice. I wouldn't call it a quiet cozy little romantic restaurant, but it could be if that's what you need. I would be willing to take my kiddos to the new restaurant, as long as the six-year-old boy is acting like a human on the day we decide to go. There is a full bar too. I feel that anyone can stop in for any occasion a fit right in. I don't remember the names of the dishes that my wife and I had for dinner but the food was very good.
