Pops and I have been coming here for at least 10 years. I especially like to come get some curry when I'm feeling sick.

My eternal quest to feed my momo appetite continued as I hit up yet another spot in the area serving food from the Himalayan region. I got my usual order of steamed chicken momos in addition to the fried variety that I don't normally opt for. The steamed momos were delightful - perfectly chewy and delicious dumpling wrapping with a great shape, with a flavorful and tender filling. Served with some great tomato-chili sauce, which was perfect for dipping. The fried chicken momos were a disappointment. They had been fried so long and hard to the point of losing any suggestion of moisture and like a hard brick on the outside with a very unpleasant aftertaste bordering to burnt/charred. How the filling managed to escape the same fate I will never know. The dumpling wrapper seemed to have sacrificed its life (It was cooked beyond any remaining semblance of life) to save the filling. Despite this valiant effort, I couldn't bring myself to eat more than a couple, with or without the dipping sauce. Chicken fried rice was done with strips of meat. tossed with rice and veggies. The dish could have done with a bit more seasoning - a few grains of salt would've taken this dish far. Chicken curry was nothing to complain about, pretty standard fare. read more

I'm not super familiar with Indian food and what qualifies authentic dishes, but their food tastes great! Great for takeout, although there is a lengthy a wait time if you're ordering for a family (3 or more). The plastic containers that they use keep the food hot for over 20 minutes, so it will definitely still be warm by the time you get home. This is not the best place to go for a dine-in experience. The tables are not full service and all of the utensils and plates are plastic and styrofoam. The butter chicken masala was my favorite. It tasted like the perfect balance of salty, spicy, and sweet- but I asked for it mild because I'm weak. The chicken tikka masala sauce is really similar, but slightly sweeter. The palak paneer sauce is also really good. They are generous with gravies in general. Bland is one quality you will not find in their food. Not sure I agree with the assessment that the mango lassi is the best menu item. This one tastes a little watered-down and sugary compared to other lassi. The chicken momo was my least favorite. Only Chicken 65 is good but!!!!I ordered Chana curry and goat curry. Chana was dipped in the tomato sauce with no taste and goat pieces dipped in butter sauce . They Tasted awful and gross. Sugar was not in the tea but tea was in the sugar . Even if you are not a diabetic, you will pass out with extreme disgusting sweetness. Their mango lassi is absolutely yummy with and without the boba so I absolutely recommend that for drinks. It tastes more like lychee than boba, which is yummier. The music is surprising, thought I'd hear more Asian culture. They have the best mixed fried rice, and the portion sizes are amazing. They have the best goat curry, the goat was succulent. This spot really hit my Indian food crave. Although it was located at a small part of a big square, their food is well made and delicious. I ordered some chicken dumplings, butter chicken masala, and chicken biryani (added some extra garlic naan as well). The chicken dumplings weren't bad, but it tasted repetitive after the 5th one. I wish they made the skin more chewy and softer to bite into (although I did order take out due to COVID, so maybe it would have tasted better in person). Butter chicken and chicken biryani were my favorite! Huge portion size and paired well with their naan. Highly recommend! The butter chicken masala was extremely tasty and I used my naan to dip into it as well. The chicken biryani is a hidden treasure. Based on the physical appearance, it looks like it's purely rice and onions, but once I started to dig in, hidden chunks of chicken started appearing which helped balance the whole dish. Almost every time I go into this place I order vegetable Biryani rice. I love the red sauce that comes with it it is always a delicious treat. It's always best to call ahead and order by phone and give them a few extra minutes to cook and prepare your food and have it ready for you when you arrive for pick up. Sometimes you just have to judge a place by the food. I bought a Groupon based on four words - hot, spicy, Nepali and dumplings. When I read the reviews, I decided not to let two words deter me - Styrofoam and plastic! Hot n Spicy is a Nepali place with Northern Indian and Chinese food, too. Small and cramped, they have utilized their strip mall space judiciously and managed to put in dividers and booths that afford comfort and privacy. That said, don't expect ambiance here. Your food is served in or on Styrofoam here and the utensils are plastic. The music is today's pop and the counter staff is bright and happy youthful exuberance. We had the Chicken Momos (Dumplings) for which Nepali cuisine is known. Similar to a potsticker; but more complex. Yummy! The Garlic Naan is only $1.99 here for two very large naan cut in two. Delicious! I had the yellow lentil Daal. You have your choice of naan or rice with this large filling bowl. My spouse had the goat curry. Wow. A red sorrel leaf base - so rich, such depth! They say they'll make it spicy and they are clear to offer you a choice. Believe me, they definitely will make it spicy!!! But they do take care to make sure you know what you are doing! That's what we had and except for the Naan, we had it all spicy and it was a delicious and satisfying burn. Four stars for the disposable serviceware and truck stop ambiance. read more

The chicken biryani was not all that today. They maybe got a different cook today. It was different because once they served it on the plate, the plate had a lot of runny sauce at the bottom that made my rice soggy after sitting there. The chicken had light pink by the bone. This was my first time it hasnt been a 100% satisfying experience for me. Ill give them another chance, maybe their regular cook was off today, who knows. The naan was perfect. Definitely a small mom and pop restaurant. The location is currently undergoing construction. Best times to get food here is before noon or after the lunch rush has cleared. I order the Gongura chicken with a side of Biryani rice, I like spicy so I ordered for mine to be spicy. I've never really been a huge fan of Indian food, but this place has peaked my interest. I'll be coming back. They offer discounted entrees on the groupon app also they're coupons on the website. I dislike that their silverware, and plates are all flimsy plastic and styrofoam. Decent option for Indian food. The specials are what make it worth your while- otherwise I think it's a little too pricey. I got the dum biriyani, which was pretty good- the chicken (although not white breast) was well marinated and the biryani itself was fine. It comes with raita (yogurt blend with some onions and green pepper) and some "biriyani sauce". The sauce did nothing for me...it was flavorless. They would do better with just giving pickle away with it. I also got the chicken tikka. Great flavor, not spicy AT ALL, even when I asked for spicy, haha. It's creamy, the chicken is very well done (not the normal chicken breast that you are used to having). I also got naan which literally tasted like a warmed up naan from the grocery store. Clearly not homemade, but even if it was- it's not good. There are far better Indian places that do much better at naan. I would return to try new things- but on their special menu.
