Usmania was one of our favorite places to go for kabob's and nihari when we lived in Chicago. I was so excited when I heart they were coming to DFW. We went to the iftar buffet and we were not disappointed. Food was plentiful! Most places run out of food after the first round during iftar and the wait is long for more food. They had more than enough food ready to go for all the customers. The dining area is small and our table was originally situated in an awkward spot that people kept hitting. The staff saw this and asked if we wanted to move, which we did. They quickly set up a table out of the way where we were able to enjoy our food. The customers are inconsiderate with adults and kids touching naan with their hands and putting them back on the buffet tray. They gave us fresh naan for our table from the kitchen after we told them what we say. All the meats were flavorful and well seasoned, nihari was delicious, the cha was nice and not watery. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back. Shout out to Shenbaz, Navya, and Syed for taking care of us.

Karahi Chicken. Ate only 1/4 of it before I decided it was not worth the money.

Menu is small which is good. Not cluttered, we ordered chicken karhi and malai boti. The karahi is very basic, oily and nothing special and didn't even look like a full chicken. . Overall the menu is pricey and the taste is very ordinary find you a better Pakistani/Indian restaurant

The restaurant has vibrant decor and murals that transport you to a diverse neighborhood. Every employee who helped us was approachable and kind, checking on us after we were seated and served, going as far as taking photos for us when we asked because we were celebrating our anniversary, and bringing out things we asked for once we were seated. It seems basic to say that, but the warmth and kindness was felt from each employee we interacted with, and I don't want to gloss over their good service. Our order: - Angry Pho Birria Platter - Elote + Chips - Strawberry Lemonade - Ube Horchata The pho (a little spicy) and bao (a little sweet with super tender meat) will make you want to do a happy dance. The wings could have been a little crunchier but they were sauced so it's understandable. The Bang Bang and Spicy Chili flavors were delicious. The Birria tacos were good, but we loved everything else on the platter more. The Elote + chips starter was authentic and yummy. The chips felt like an odd pairing, but it tasted good together! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet but refreshing. The Ube Horchata was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the ice didn't ruin it. Know before you go: - Arrive early! We got there when they opened at 11 AM on a Friday. Two other parties were already there and waiting to dine, as well. By 11:30 AM, a nice-sized crowd had rolled in. They had no problem getting everyone served quickly, though. - You order and pay first, grab a seat, and then they bring your food out to you. - Yes, the platter sizes are sufficient for two hungry adults to fill up on! You might even have trouble finishing it all. - Their online menu has awesome pictures of each platter option. The platters look smaller in person than in those photos, but as I said, you will definitely get full. - My husband, who is not a pho lover, loved the Angry Pho. - They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays. - They have gluten-free and halal options.

Literally a flavor bomb in every bite! They have an extensive menu with so many unique dishes. It was hard to order one dish so we just had to order it all :) The Saltado was the best I've ever had! It was so bomb! The fries were somehow still crispy even though it's tossed in this delicious sauce! Meat was tender and melt in your mouth good! I also loved the burger! We cut pieces so we can all try the different dishes, and I kept cutting pieces of the burger! I've also been on a burger kick lately to try to find the best burger and this one is high up the list! It was surprisingly hot for a good 15 mins. The meat was well seasoned and the onion, cheese meat and sauce all blended so well. Little bit salty and a little bit sweet with the grill onions. The wings were also crispy with this nice sweet chili sauce! Cooked to perfection! I really liked the curry pho! It's a green curry with a little kick to it. They have quite a few different vegan options and this is a dish that can be made vegan. You can dip the Birria tacos in this pho consume which is so fire! It's so good you just want to drink it up lol I added some of their habenero hot sauce and it was just the perfect birria bites. The phorrito is pho filling wrapped in rice and fried! You gotta wash all these delicious meals down with a lychee peach tea! It hit the spot lol it was so refreshing with the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. This is a must try place if you're in the area!

I ordered the Thai wings, and when they arrived, I immediately noticed an unpleasant smell. I took one bite and sent them back. They had no real flavor, and the smell made them hard to eat. I then got the crispy chicken sandwich. It was somewhat salty, but it also tasted like it had been fried in old grease, which left a bad taste in my mouth. My wife ordered the fried ribs. After asking for some sauce to go with them, they actually ended up being the best thing we ordered. Even so, the lingering aftertaste still reminded us of old grease. The drinks were decent, but overall this is not a place I would come back to or try again.

For reference, the Little Katana happy hour sashimi appetizer is 7+ larger, fresh pieces INCLUDING a beer or wine for $15. When I asked how many pieces it included when I ordered it, the waitress didn't seem to know, mentioning anywhere from 5 to 10 pieces. I'd probably not order this option on return visits. The other items tried were all very good and reasonably priced. Their take on the margarita was also tasty and really didn't stray much in taste from a typical spicy margarita. Aside from not knowing menu details, the service provided was otherwise very good and efficient. Drinks, however, took longer than expected to arrive, showing up after some of the food items had already been served. That may have been more of a bar issue than the servers. Ambiance is great. Very nice and peaceful, especially in the booths at the back. Looked like a nice bar and patio area, too! Will definitely be back!

The restaurant follows a BYOB assembly format, similar to places like Chipotle or Cava. I did find the line was kind of slow and overall observed some inefficiencies. While the flavor was good and the ingredients were fresh, as someone who's gone to many Vietnamese restaurants in DFW, you can get bigger portions for less money. For example, the banh mi portion here is about half of a full banh mi but double the price. The sauce serving size is also on the lesser end as well; while the sauces had good flavor, there wasn't enough for me to enjoy with my entire order. Overall, I still think this place is worth checking out, especially if you work near this area
