Yet another pakistani/Indian restaurant that fails at customer service. Called yesterday afternoon to place an order for hyderabadi chicken biryani because my wife was craving it. When I first call a lady answers, mumbles some thing I couldn't understand and then I over hear her continuing to take an order for someone else- which is fine but at least take 5 seconds to say 'hello do you mind waiting'. While waiting for her I am hung up on. I call back a minute later and get the same lady answering my call; this time she takes my order but without repeating my order, telling me how long it will be or how much it will cost she again hangs up on me. The call lasted all of 10 seconds. I wait 15 minutes before coming to pick up my order and she's confused when I say I'm here for the hyderabadi chicken biryani and asks if I'm sure I didn't order the mutton biryani. She then tells me I will have to wait 10 minutes for them to make my order correctly with only a sheepish apology. After waiting 10 minutes I pay for my order and again she fails to even acknowledge let alone offer me any thing for her mistake. Worst yet when my wife comes home from her shift at 11 PM and sits down to eat the biryani she was craving we find out that she still gave me mutton biryani!!!!! How is that type of service from a restaurant acceptable???!!!!??? And to make matters worse the biryani wasn't that good as the rice was stale. My first time eating in at Deccan Grill was also just OK (chicken 65 was good, seekh kabab OK, ordered malai chicken boti they brought out regular boti chicken bc they did not have malai and asked if that was 'ok', chapli kabab not very good). I hope the owner hires people who care about what they are doing. Regardless I will not come back. There are far better places in DFW. read more

I was driving by and wanted Indian food. Looked at the reviews for the buffet and decided to stop by. Actually I tried calling multiple times first but they never answered their phone. Finally find the location only to find out they don't have a buffet period big waste of time. read more

Chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were GREAT, but spicy! Chicken curry was ok - didn't expect bones - exceptionally spicy. We ordered medium spice. Naan was freshly made and very good! 3 meals, $29. Large portions. Will definitely be back but will order mild. Not a place you want to sit down at eat. Take out place for sure. Average price of an entree is $9, which about going rate for Indian in Irving. Woman at check was very nice. read more

This is my favorite kebab place in the DFW Metroplex! I love their chicken boti kebab, chicken seekh kebab, chicken achari (gravy). Their naans are super soft and melt in the mouth. Recommend eating in, to-go would just make everything soggy and not taste as great. read more

Saw this restaurant close by in yelp and was craving for some mutton curry. Gave it a try. I had ordered mutton curry and two naan, Curry doesnt have taste of Neither North Indian nor Pakistani( Looked and tasted like they added too much water in curry, Watery ). On top the waitress at the front has no sense of communication. Looked like she had no sleep all nite( obviously I can tell she is not the owner and doesnt give a crap about customer). I've ordered food countless times from this place and they haven't disappointed me once. The mutton biryani, chicken biryani, shami kababs & chicken curry are all to die for. They serve generous portions and aren't exorbitantly priced. Definitely a place to visit more than once :) read more

Love the biryani here. They started charging more last year, but it's still worth the price. One $10 order is about 4 meals for me. The takeout is always saran-wrapped which makes me nervous in case they get the order wrong, but they've never messed up my order in the 30+ times I've been here. read more

Our favorite go to Indian restaurant! We are vegetarian and our staple meals from here are the Palak Paneer and the Paneer Tika Masala. They are so rich in flavor and come with either a giant delicious well seasoned plate of basmati rice or perfectly baked and substantial Naan bread. Even the veggie samosas are to die for. It doesn't have the best atmosphere but nowhere else has the flavor and amount of food like Decaan. read more

This place had very good food for a very reasonable price. On Wednesday they give Chicken Mandi which was very good for a very affordable price. Although we had a bit of trouble ordering the Mandi, the gave us Chicken 65 for free for our inconvenience. I would recommend this place for good Indo-Pak food for a good price. read more

Probably the worst service and food I have seen in Dallas ft worth area. They told chicken 65 is fast selling. When I ordered it, the chicken was stinking. Also the chicken samosa they sold was completely burnt , literally they sold me carbon black. When I asked for a refund. They said they will but didn't. After reading great reviews of Deccan Grill on this page, we decided to try it finally. I took my parents there and we ordered Daal, Goat Karahi, Chicken tikka masala and Bihari Kabab. Quantity is good for 4 people and food was good. Daal and Goat karahi were our favorite however the Bihari kabab was undercooked. My dad is really picky about bihari kababs but he said the taste and masala was good only if the meat was cooked better it would have been great. Overall we had a good experience, but I do suggest they increase their staff. Their was only one girl at the counter taking orders, phone calls, serving etc. but she was trying her best and was very polite. read more

I have been going here since they were across the way on the other side of Oconnor. The Biryani still taste great even if they changed ownership. The whole menu is Awesome. This is the most authentic Biryani I have ever had. All their food is delicious even after you leave it in the fridge for leftovers the next day. Their prices are more than reasonable. Very expensive. Store is pretty organized and has somewhat of a variety. The location isn't too great, it's very empty outside. I expected for this to be located in somewhat of a shopping strip with several stores and it's not. It's located on what looks like the leftover of a mall. Restaurant customer service is bullshit, about 3 weeks ago I went there to get food, a girl name jaya (something like that) had a very bad attitude because I told her I was gonna pay cash but came with a card instead, her attitude was horrible against me and another staff (who I believe was new) she had a bullshit attitude towards me and the other girl. The girl thinks she is some kind of a owner but she is nothing but a peice of shit. I also saw on their computer the owner guiding one of his staff to write a good review for their shit restaurant!
