    Cadogan Tate

    (7 reviews)

Of any company we have ever engaged with in our lifetime, it's is fair and accurate to say that…read moreCadogan Tate is beyond a doubt the very worst in customer service and customer care. In saying this I include the typical problems we all have for time to time with health insurance companies, airlines, cable companies etc. The disregard and disinterest that Cadogan Tate has for its customers is so very far beyond standard business practice that it borders on abuse. We hired them for moving all our furniture and belongings into long-term storage. Every step of the way things were mishandled, items unwrapped, unpadded, left without proper packing materials. And worse was the unprofessional disregard with which we were treated every steps of the way. Over a year later we went to the facility to inspect our crates only to discover the immense damage they had done. Even their own staff that was there to assist us were shocked at lack of care and protection our furniture has received. Finally - when we were ready to move our things to our new home, Cadogan-Tate hit us with charge after charge blaming it on the narrow road we live on (which they new about for months ) and blaming it on customs (but there failed to produced any evidence ). They basically held our belongings hostage until we paid the ransom. I had planned to wait until out things were delivered before posting this in hopes that upon delivery the company might redeem itself. But in fact they've changed delivery date 4 times. Despite costly shifting of out scheduled and the removal of rental furniture in expectations of a long long awaited delivery. The company culture of Cadogan-Tate is one passing the buck. No one takes responsibility for the job. They all just point you to the next person who does the same. It is a virtual carousel of mistreatment and neglect. You go round and round never getting satisfying answers. Do not engage with this slipshod criminal operation. If you are unfortunate enough to have engaged with them prepare yourself for years of abuse and exploitation.

I don't even know how to begin. Cadogan Tate stored my family's things for a number of years. When…read moreit came time to remove those items, they were beyond difficult, at least in the Los Angeles location. The employee I dealt with was rude, short, and very passive aggressive. I spent an enormous amount of money storing items with this company, and I would not recommend them to an enemy. I will never use them again. The amount of money our family payed for the level of kindness we received was way out of wack. Do not use this company. Store your precious items elsewhere. I wish I could give zero stars

At first glance I saw a long line out the door and a gentleman loading hundreds of boxes just outside the door. Disappointed I am thinking the worst. I am going to be late for work, it is going to be close to 30 minutes to clear the line. Just then while in line I notice the face, I have seen her before, but I can't put my finger on where? I a few minutes the man was finished the customers ahead of me were too. I was up with my small package. Done I exclaimed wow you're fast. Then I ask her name and if was ok to use it on a positive post or review. Erica, I remember that young lady, didn't she work on Long Beach in Lynwood at the UPS Store? She was fast as lightning there and hasn't gotten any slower over here in Huntington Park. She made my day, I was able to pick up my tool shop a bit more stand in a longer slower line than hers and make it to work on time. I recommend Erica at the UPS Store in Huntington Park, she will get you on your way and your package too.

I had a really disappointing experience at Southgate Pack N Ship…read more Before I came in, I spoke with the Cesar over the phone and explained that I had 190 Forever stamps I was looking to sell. I told him the price I was hoping to get, and he told me to come in because they would buy them. When I arrived at the time he told me to come, he wasn't there, so I had to leave and come back later. When I returned, I waited for him to finish a conference before showing him the stamps. Almost immediately when inspecting the stamps, he asked if I had been kicked off Amazon, which caught me off guard. Throughout the interaction, he repeatedly laughed at me and at the price I had originally mentioned over the phone. He said he could get stamps for $10 a sheet at the post office, and each time I tried to explain my reasoning, he would laugh, walk away, and then come back to continue the conversation in the same way. He even started speaking in Spanish to customers in the store about me. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable and belittled. At one point I explained that I was simply trying to sell the stamps so I could go home and visit my dad. His response was, "Oh, to Minnesota, huh?" I also explained that the price I had mentioned was simply my asking price as a reseller, and that I understood a buyer's offer would naturally be different. When he finally made an offer, I politely asked if there was any flexibility. Before I could even finish, he interrupted me and said, "Actually, I wasn't going to offer anything." After I accepted the offer and was paid, I decided to buy a couple sheets of stamps. As I handed over the cash he had just given me moments earlier, he told his employee, "Make sure to check for counterfeit." That comment was especially uncomfortable because I was using the exact cash he had just handed me. I completely understand that businesses are free to make whatever offer they think is fair, and I have no issue negotiating or even walking away if we can't agree on a price. What bothered me wasn't the offer--it was the way I was treated throughout the interaction. I expected a professional conversation, not to be laughed at, interrupted, or made to feel embarrassed. Based on my experience, I won't be returning.
