The resturant is 2 stories but sectioned off as if there are little rooms around which cuts down on noise and makes it feel less busy which is a plus. The food and soups were pretty good, above what you'd expect from a normal ayce spot. Selection is decent, has a good amount of meats and vegetables but not as vast as the other ayce spots. We only ordered 1 plate of the wagyu which I forgot the name of but it was in the $30 range and was fantastic. Service was very attentive, checking up very often to remove plates, refill water, refill soup, and to give us ice cream at the end. Sauce is made and provided at the beginning of your meal but there is also a sauce bar if you'd like to make your own. There is also a jelly dessert area, fruits, and cold appetizer bar next to it. Overall it was a pleasent 1st experience here and we'll mostly be back. Heard the happy hour after 9 is great too! If you go on your birthday you will spin a wheel for a free dish or $ off.

She checked in often on our noodle and soup refills, cleared plates so fast, filled our water glasses before we could finish them, and proactively noticed when we hadn't received our extra order of meat. She was so gracious in offering us ice water after my husband ate too many thai chilies. With this level of service at this price point, we're very much looking forward to coming back. It is one of my son's favorite spots so when the evening arrived, we got to the restaurant only to be led to a table that seated 6 in one corner and 4 kitty corner from that table. So...a family gathering had to be split, with 4 of us not even being at the same table as my son-including me. Mom. And in order to be close to him I sat with my back turned from him. I approached someone about it-not sure if he's the manager or not but he was very apologetic about it and said that they don't have seating for 10 at one table. But they tried their best by putting us all in the corner together. Not the same thing unfortunately as we could not all celebrate or converse all together. I told him that I had called specifically asking if they could accommodate 10 and I was assured they could but I did not know I had to ask "at the same table?". They should have been forthcoming that it would be at two different tables otherwise I would have made a reservation elsewhere for the celebration. What could I do but just accept his apology? But then, with a party of 10, I would think we would get extra attention but I guess since tip is already included after 5 in a party, they just called it in because I had to ask for more plates, more napkins, spoons, & water because the setting at the table was for 2, and we had 4. No one even asked us if we needed any more broth nor did they ever come to ask if anyone wanted a refill of the AYCE meats. Not that we could eat anymore but no one even offered. And, since everyone had to order the same meat plates, and one person wanted the wagyu, we all had to get wagyu at our table. Doesn't seem fair to me especially when they don't even offer more but I guess that's policy. When my son and I come in by ourselves, they are very attentive and always ask us if we need more of anything. But it was hard to find anyone to come to our table. They never checked on us after they brought the broth and meats the one time. So let me say I was very upset that the tip was included because really, no one served us unless we asked for more things. No one checked on us. Then I had to go and find someone so we could pay our bill. They apologized again for not seating us together but what could I say at that point? I'm not going to make a scene but it ruined a special night when all of the family couldn't sit together. Very disappointed with this visit especially when it's one of our fave places and we frequent it often and spent a good amount of $ that night with 10 people.

It was a little busy so it took about 20 minutes before we were seated and my boyfriend's bowl came out. I noticed that my number was called but when we went up my bowl was not there. We asked the guy in the window if it was there or just a mistake and he said he had put it out and asked to see our receipt with the bowl number. He looked at our receipt and then went around the entire restaurant and found my bowl and the person who took it! (It was an accident, still frustrating). He told us that I could remake my bowl at no extra cost, but by that point we didn't have enough time to wait for it to cook and eat. They refunded us and brought over an extra side of oranges and gave us three drinks for free, which is extremely generous considering it was not their fault at all. I was bummed by not getting my meal but very grateful that they cared enough about my experience that they wanted to make up for a mistake that they didn't make. Now I'll have to come back again to get my bowl! TLDR: my bowl was taken by another costumer but I didn't have time for it to be remade so they gave me extra sides and free drinks **please don't take advantage of them, they WILL check your receipt and find your bowl
