Nice location with great scenery and window views of local architecture and street people watching. Plenty of seating. We dined here on Thursday night September 25, 2025. SERVICE: Host was interesting - not super friendly, but got us seated relatively quickly. We got a seat by a window - so we'll call that a win!! Our server was very nice, but seemed a little overwhelmed. After our first drink we kinda got ghosted...they brought out an entree with no explanation as to why only one person got food. Eventually after we told them no one else got food, they realized they did something wrong and our food came out after some more (patient) waiting. Not impressed with the service. FOOD: Here is where it made up some goodness. The food was well prepared and very flavorful (worth the wait? Not sure) but, very good. The drinks were also very good. They could have just been having an off night on service.

I REALLY wanted some fantastic Italian food to end our trip in Boston. We were within walking distance from the park and the reviews on Google were high - 4.4. I should have checked Yelp per usual. 3.9 stars as of this moment. I try to stay away when it's below 4 because I know how picky I am. We shared everything, per usual, to try more. We started with the tomato soup and beet salad. The tomato soup was savory and delicious. One could hope for more crostinis with goat cheese of course. The beet salad was strange. I feel that it needed to be served atop greens. The fried goat cheese balls on top were what I liked about it. For entrees we did the split versions of the tortellini and the gnocchi. The gnocchi direly needs a little sear. They are so mushy. The flavor is good but the texture is so bad. The tortelloni was under al dente. You could see that the pasta was not cooked through when cutting it on eat. Unfortunately, our server was also the bar tender so he did not make it to our table to offer fresh cracked pepper or freshly grated cheese for the pasta. I think that may have made it slightly better but the massive technical errors were a huge let down, especially at the price point.

The food was amazing! I had a 16oz ribeye and a moscato and it was perfect! The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and did a good job on serving us. We were sat near the window, the view was amazing, and the place felt luxurious. I highly recommend.

    Excellent swordfish

Service always top notch. Like introduction of Mediterranean flavors to the swordfish which was very fresh. Enjoyed our experience very much. And will be bringing friends back.

I've always liked this space and figured it would be fun for New Year's Eve esp since they were serving their regular menu. It was a zoo and our 8:30 res came and went even tho seats were empty at the chef station. There was some reason why they didn't want us there but that's where we ended up after 25 min. That was the not great part, all the rest was 5 stars. Hostess was nice, our waiter was zen calm and sweet, the line cooks were a machine, delicious popovers with our nice pours of wine, chicken liver app was enough for two and def better than the signature steak and cheese egg rolls. My gnocchi w mushrooms and truffle were about $28 and delish. Friend loved his lobster risotto (seemed a tad soupy to me). We had food to take home and even the always orders dessert person couldn't manage. I need to go back much sooner.

Went for cocktails and a quick bite at the bar. The bartenders were so accommodating, finding us 4 seats together and setting us up with cocktails. The bread that arrives with the food was so good! Like a huge popover. We shared a beet and goat cheese salad, and a huge half order of pasta with an absolutely delicious ragu. Would love to go back for an official dinner!

While visiting Boston we were looking for somewhere to get a very late lunch after trekking the entire Freedom Trail. We were parked not far from Davio's and decided to give it a try since we were STARVING. They had plenty of tables when we got there, I want to say it was about 4pm on a Wednesday. No reservation was necessary. We could see right into the kitchen and the staff was mainly standing around talking and it seemed they were all eating too? It was a weird dynamic. The bartender wound up being our waitress and did a decent job. But I had asked her for a sangria- which was not on the menu- and she said she would make one. I unfortunately received a $20 spritzer. I have never had a fizzy sangria- and cant say I care for it. Next time I know just to stick with a glass of wine like my husband. We started with some chicken parm eggrolls as an appetizer- they were excellent. Wish there had been one more! All of the sides are a la carte which is not my favorite, but they market it as being very "customizable". My husband had a filet, I had the short rib. We split a side of the asparagus and the mac and cheese. Both entrees were good, the mac and cheese was phenomenal. We agreed the best one we have had at any restaurant. They gave us a little macaron as we were leaving - which was a nice touch. However was the meal worth $250? I don't know about that.... We found out afterwards that we have a Davio's location near us in Texas. But for the price there are a lot of other options that are just as good.

    Carpaccio was. Delicious

Had an absolutely tremendous meal here! Everything from the bread service (gf bread was amazing), to the service, to the entrees, and sale room for a gluten free diner was top notch. The steak was a top 5 steak for me.....just incredible. Ambiance was appealing to "the old School steak house diner" as well as those that like a trendier look. Hard to pull off, but they did! Highly recommend

Gluten free pizza at Davio's... Excellent sauce and cheese, but the outer crust is like a hard, dry breadstick.

The curated menu includes cicchetti, or individual bites, along with first courses, pasta, fish, and other proteins. While the kitchen delivered a solid meal, the service was so profoundly disappointing that it completely overshadowed the food. The culinary side of things easily earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of items to share, and the highlights included: * The Pizzas: Creative flavor combinations with fresh, high-quality toppings and fantastic crusts. * The Bucatini Pasta: Perfectly cooked and packed with rich flavor. * The Asparagus Appetizer & The Chicken Milanese: Both executed well, flavorful, and cooked to a high standard. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience was uniformly horrible. For a large party, hospitality can make or break the night, and our server missed the mark at every single turn: * Argumentative & Dismissive: He actively argued with our host regarding an appetizer that had been ordered in advance. When asked about vegetarian substitutions for a sold-out pasta dish, he curtly replied, "Pasta with butter is all we can do"--despite the fact that we could clearly see a wide variety of fresh vegetables being used right on their pizzas. * Inattentive: Dirty dishes piled up on our table, and when we politely asked for them to be cleared, he claimed he needed to get help and walked away completely empty-handed. Our drink orders were rarely checked on or refilled. * Rude to Guests: He displayed visible attitude and put-off body language whenever anyone asked a simple question. This peaked when he was outright rude to one of the young women in our party who simply wanted to put her order in a bit early because she had to leave before the rest of the group. It is a real shame because the ingredients and the kitchen's output are genuinely good. However, between the hostile attitude and the lack of basic service standards, we unfortunately won't be rushing back.

Daniel was super friendly, checked on us a lot, and offered a lot of suggestions including a red wine that is now my boyfriend's favorite. The free bread they give you came with some of the best olive oil I've ever eaten. Lastly, The tiramisu is not like any I've tried before but I honestly really liked it. It was super fresh and the espresso they pour over it is delicious. The rest of the food was meh. -North Shore Fritto Misto: 4/5, average squid:pepper ratio, fried well so they were not too chewy, great sauce. -Foccacia: 3/5, fluffy and soft but pretty boring unless you dip it in your pasta sauce. -Lasagna: boyfriend 4/5, me 2.5/5. I thought it was really salty and all I could taste was rib, no other components. Important to note though this was not my entree and I only had a few bites. -Bolognese: 1/5, the pasta cooked so well gave this a point otherwise the sauce was super thin, there was like no meat, and all I could taste were scallions.
