Amazing bakery! Every time I walk in, I'm greeted so politely. I absolutely love their Fig Cookie, Almond Horn, Caramel Apple Cheesecake, and the list just goes on! I have yet to try everything because they have such a wide variety of pastries! The pastries are always so fresh and the bakery itself is very clean! Defiantly recommend this bakery to anyone whose looking for some fresh, well made pastries! read more

DaVinci Bakery - Bakeries Near Me - Nutley, New Jersey

I brought a cheesecake for my daughter's birthday and it was so delicious. At the end of the night, there was not one piece left of the cake. It was creamy and baked to perfection. This is the first review, I had written; but not the first time to visit Da Vinci's bakery. The bakery is clean and decorated so beautifully. It has a lot of room and appealing. Roseanne, Sal and employees are so helpful, down-to-earth and friendly. Stop by, I am sure you will not be sorry and will come back for more!! Mary Rose Molinaro Nultey, NJ read more

I love this bakery. It's a one stop shop. Great bread, cakes, pastries, and a deli all wrapped in one place. I highly recommend going.

I have never written a review on yelp or anywhere. However, in this instance, after having met Rosanna, the owner and, her lovely daughter, after having been welcomed with such warmth and true hospitality, the kind is rare to find in this day and age, I felt compelled to write this review. I found this little GEM of a bakery by pure coincidence when driving by. I stepped in and, despite the fact that I had initially not intended to purchase anything, nor was I in need of any baking or pastry goods, after having seen the wide array of most delicious pastries Rosanna, the owner, offers on display, it was hard not to give in to my sugar urges:):). I am highly selective with dining out and, in particular with my affinity for desserts. DaVinci Bakery carries such a diverse selection of most sumptuous and truly, utmost delicate as well as delicious bakery and pastry goods, from authentic Italian bread and Sfogliatelle, to Creme Brûlée, fruit tarts and anything and everything that your heart desires, including sugar free cookies for those with health or medical conditions. But, that's not where their vast selection ends. Today I sat down for a coffee and a sandwich. Both their bakery goods, from their daily bread to their anti-pasti and home made salads, wraps and sandwiches are fresh and so very rich and satisfying. DaVinci Bakery is the very epitome of home made food and bakery and instantly became my favourite bakery. I drive half an hour every week to purchase my favourite bread and desserts or, simply sit down and relax for lunch or dinner with one of their delicious sandwiches or salads (Try their home made eggplant, long hots, egg salad and chicken salad - delish!!). There is a distinct difference between stellar service and hospitality and, the merger of both defines unforgettable and memorable guest and customer service experience. DaVinci is a family operated, most charming bakery that is of the old world, the kind that we grew up with as children, having looked forward to buying the Sunday cake and many other, refined and heavenly cakes, freshly baked daily breads and pastries to indulge in and, the kind of bakery that treats its guest with the kind of genuine warmth you would welcome a guest in your home. I only wish we had more of this kind of bakery that DaVinci Bakery embodies and is - where the quality of food and providing stellar and, a most memorable guest and customer service are priority and perfectly balanced. If you are in the Essex County area, swing by DaVinci Bakery. You won't regret it. I certainly became a fan quickly and don't mind driving half an hour every week to be welcomed with such grace, genuine hospitality and, to indulge in addictive Italian desserts and freshly baked bread that is truly perfection with just the right amount of crisp and airy dough. read more

I just moved to the Nutley area a couple of months ago so I took the time to go to all the big bakeries to know where I would get my sweets, but when DaVinci's finally opened the other places never hear of me again. Talk about the biggest and fluffier croissants! Delicate little raspberry heaven cakes, huge Italian sugar raised donuts (eat your heart out DD) scrumptious and yet luscious velvety filled mini key lime coconut pies...and my recent favorite the simple yet extremely satisfying elephant ears. WOW! And as if the sweets and breads and deli and cookies and....(I can go on and on but I'll stop :-)) wasn't enough they top it all off with the amount of charismatic and contagious energy they offer you the moment you walk in. The service and attentions that Roseann and her family offer can not be beat. You will feel like you are in a family and that you belong....coming from someone that just moved around. I highly recommend DaVinci's to anyone of any age and for any occasion. Trust me...you'll be satisfied with a cherry on top! read more

See all

disappointing. We waited for a long time for DaVinci to open and all they have is the same, run of the mill stuff as all the other places in the area. Sunday morning croissants tasted very bland and were obviously not fresh. Where's the artisanal breads (asiago, rosemary, etc)? again, disappointing. Hope they try to stand out rather than join the mediocre pack in the future. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to stop in and try this bakery after hearing great things... and boy did it deliver! The cookies are fresh and delicious... the smell of deliciousness the second you walk in makes you want to try everything! They offer a large selection of everything you can imagine- cakes, cookies, pastries, breads- and everything we sampled was amazing! We even tried the lunch sandwiches (4 in total ranging from Italian cold cut, grilled chicken and FRESH mozzarella and peppers, turkey and roast beef/cold cuts) and they were amazing and so fresh. The bread is unreal. It is a wonderful family owned bakery that takes pride in their food. read more

I am writing this review because I purchased a hamburger cheese cake for this memorial day weekend with bread. What I can say is, it was amazing from the design to the quality of the pastries. Rum Cake with chocolate filling and strawberries was moist, flavorful, and fresh. Icing was a light whipped cream, sweet, but not too sugary sweet as so many other bakeries. Will definitely be back. Yellow writing on white birthday message was not very legible, but the cake 's taste more than made up for it. Try it! read more

I was so excited to visit this bakery. My excitement was quickly crushed today. My first visit a week ago I went in and picked up a couple of pastries. The young man behind the counter said how can I help you. I told them what I want it, I was still looking he said anything else. Told him what I want it again he said what else. It's not so much what he said but how he said it. I felt rush and uncomfortable like I was bothering him. My 11 year said oh boy want was that. The bakery was not busy at all it was me and my daughter. A few minutes later a man walked in. I said to my self young kid maybe he has been there since early and is looking forward to go home. So today i decided to visit the bakery (second chance) a young woman said hello how can I help you. Again the only customer in store my daughter and I. I ask is that all the bread you have left. She said yes how can I help you. I told her what I want it, she did not hear me ay ill take ....... She turns her face away body language tells me I'm a bothering her. She says what else, I said my daughter wants a pastries. I tell her she puts it in bag tells me what else. (WTH) A man walks in she greets him with a big smile and says hi how are you. As Im getting ready to pay I realize she makes an error and charges me for an extra loaf. Ok no biggie she took it off. I have four bags to carry out, when she says do you want a bag. Really lady you see me with bags as I'm getting ready to walk away. She was concern with helping the man. My issue is not the bag, my issue is this place lacks services. I felt like my business was not needed. I also felt rush. I've been in the business of services for over 25 years. I know services and i know how customer want to feel. I hate to say it but this bakery is lacking in services. I would say the desert are good for Nutley. But not sure if I'll be back. And yes my 11 year picked up the energy. read more

Great service and the food and Italian goodies are to die for. I highly recommend this establishment.

Today we bought the worst bread ever and super expensive!. 7:30am in the morning and at 10am this bread tastes like old bread from a couple of days ago, all chewy and difficult to eat. We bought 6 rolls all for $4 and change, very expensive compare to other nearby bakeries which have much better quality. read more
