It can get pretty busy though so be sure to try and beat the rush. The have basically any option you could want from a bakery and everything I have tried has tasted great. A great local bakery. The smell of sweet baked goods always gets me. It's a small shop filled with a grand amount of sweets from lemon cakes , donuts , cookies of all kinds to apple desserts. Had great service when I popped in. The chocolate chip cookies are the perfect mix of soft and chewy goodness. The same goes for their oatmeal and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I needed to stop to get bread for cold cuts and ended up pulling in here. Everything looked delicious so apart from the fresh Portuguese rolls - I decided to get a small box of the various crumb cakes they had. I got crumb & cheese, classic crumb, chocolate bits and banana bread. My favorite was the cheese & crumb and least favorite was chocolate - but that's just me. There are no words to describe the deliciousness that exists in Packanack! It is a complete understatement to say this is one of the best bakeries in the state and possibly the USA. They make these fresh apple crumble pies which has become tradition for my family during birthdays. That's right, we don't do cakes we do apple crumble birthday pies! We get them from here and depending on who is having a birthday we add things in. Add things in? Yup. Like Apple crumble peach pie, Apple crumble cranberry pie, Apple crumble blueberry (my fav.) Effing delicious!! But-wait-there's more! Pie isn't the only thing they do best. Whoopie pies, freshly made are a hit in my home. They have a chocolate pudding cake to die for! Rich, creamy and chocolatey. They make a fabulous buttercream icing on these moist and delish cupcakes we love to get.
