I found this place by an accident about three years ago. I have tried their strudels, scones and pies. Everything was so good. Nothing was too sweet. Cheese scone was something I have never had before.

I can't believe I've been in rutherford so many times and haven't thought to stop in here. It's a very quaint bakery right on Park Ave. With all the higher scale competition around, it's nice to see a small town bakery. I really just popped in to try out some treats. We left with a box with about 4 goodies in it. My favorite was the scone. Really good texture and not too sweet. The turkey sprinkle cookie was fun and delicious. We also got a raspberry nut roll which was fantastic. It was essentially super crunchy pastry wrapped around jam and nuts. Yum. We also got a coconut cupcake and that was pretty good too. They also make their own bread, they have cakes and cookies by the pound. It's always nicely decorated for the seasons. I would definitely give this place a shot. Whether you just need some fresh rolls for dinner or some treats for dessert. The service is also great, the woman that helped me out was super sweet.

This is one of those classic German bakeries with German specialties like their heavenly apple strudel, big crumb crumb cake, cookies, cupcakes. It all old school style here. Most of the time they have the local high school kids working place. It not a sit down bakery , you just get what you want and go. You can hardly complain about the prices they average. I'm glad it's part of the downtown Rutherford Park row area, like they say more is better.

Chocolate and raspberry rugelach.... no flavor.

Bought a pound of rugelach and they really didn't have much flavor. The chocolate didn't taste like anything and the raspberry had a hint of flavor. I can only conclude that they have been frozen many times over. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend with so many other better bakeries in the area ... like Mills in WR.

Cake is old and hard, color white turned yellow, and the icing Broke off in the box?

The 8 grain bread is delicious as are all their creations. The rice pudding is one of our favorites. Try the apple strudel.

Love the Rye bread. My father in law loved the rice pudding. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly. Will be back.

Great fresh baked with real ingredients. They do it the old fashioned way, not the healthiest but definitely delicious. All pies are great.

Styertowne Bakery - Glazed crumb cake....excellent

My uncle brought me in today because he swears by this place and gets excited to go before work each day. As soon as you walk in the smell and the aroma immediately smacks you in the face. The staff are friendly and the bakery is intimate in its design. When you enter, you're greeted by cakes and cookies and a variety of selections. Def worth stopping by!

I went here last year around Thanksgiving as I have been a big fan of this bakery for many years. I actually drive almost 30 minutes for treats to bring my family for the holidays. It was busy when I went in and a I waited in line for my turn. Once the man in front of me ordered, and the young blonde girl behind the counter called next, I went to place my order and the man in front of me mistakenly thought he could have her do the rest of his order. I still tried to get her attention, but she refused to even look at me. Here I will note that I look very different from the other patrons in the bakery at the time... take that for what it's worth. The other workers saw this happening, and didnt acknowledge how I was being ignored by this girl. The middle aged woman who works there, who I have bought from for years, then went to help the person after me... what kind of service is that? The crazy thing is the man in front of me even apologized for what he did because he was confused by what was going on, and the middle aged women STILL DID NOT HELP ME. I always thought she was a manager or owner... perhaps she doesn't like people with my skin color. Who knows. Finally, after an upsetting amount of time where I was feeling humiliated, a brown haired girl (with absolutely great eye makeup said she would help me). Good to know one decent person works there. I used to go there regularly when I worked in the area and stopped going as often, but I will never go again and have stopped recommending it to others. For the area, there are plenty of bakeries without people like this blonde girl, who would love to have a diverse group clientele who doesn't look just like them :) Avoid this place if you don't want to be treated like a second class citizen. The way I was treated was disgusting and shameful.

Erie Coffee Shop & Bakery - Bundt cake

I've heard so many great things about Erie and finally got to try it! We stopped in after having…read morebrunch nearby. There was a short line but it was moving along quickly. The shop is small with limited places to hang out -- there's a small counter where you can stand and sip your coffee. Otherwise, they have a few small tables outside. There's a second room which has cute merch and a fridge with additional cold beverages for sale. I tried the vanilla latte and took home some treats! The spinach handpie - basically a spinach/cheese breakfast pastry, the cinnamon roll (to die for!! It was fluffy and sweet but not overly sweet like other places are), and a pumpkin cheesecake bar with pomegranate seeds. What I really like about Erie is that they make all these delicious treats and once they are sold out, they're sold out. They don't make more for the rest of the day and they don't waste food. It's always fresh!

Our area has no shortage of bakeries but those of us that have sampled a number of them realize, there are truly ones that stand out from the rest. Erie Coffee Shop & Bakery is one of those bakeries! Cute old school bake shop. Really nice and professional staff. I went in trying to be "good" and not some out with a lot. Easier said than done in this bake shop. Everything looks amazing! I asked for recommendations and left with the citrus olive oil cake, chocolate chip cookie, almond cookie, and a Madeleine. Within a couple of hours, I devoured the citrus olive oil cake. Absolutely perfect! Hint of citrus and just the right amount of moist. Also, the perfect size to feel fulfilled without feeling overly guilty. Later that night, I went for the almond cookie. Amazing texture, truly better than any almond horn I've had. The next day, I broke a piece off of the chocolate chip cookie that we got for our daughter. Perfect cookie. Then I reached for the madeleine, better than any literary device I've ever had! Transported me to my couch, where I speechlessly consumed it with some tea! Awesome! I'll be back!
