What's great about this place is that they open at 7 am on the dot and recognize and remember the regulars. I arrived right as they were unlocking the door and ordered 8 paczkis of different fillings: cream, rose hip, and strawberry. Unfortunately, they were dry and not filled and more expensive than a bakery I order paczkis from in the DC area. At $1.50/each, I was expected more than a dot of filling. I also expected them to be fresher than they were given the early morning pickup. Parking is also limited. There might be space for 5-6 cars, but they were occupied by the time we showed up at 6:55 am. Not sure by whom because the other customer who came in parked across the street. Had a sweet tooth today and decided to try this place out as the reviews were so good on Yelp. By looking at the location from the outside it does not even look like a bakery, but once you step inside all the sweet smells of cake and bread fill your nostrils. This bakery is small and carries many Polish goodies aside from their bake goods. People were raving about their jelly donut, so I got one and half of a vanilla and chocolate layer cake with a soft chocolate mouse filling and a chocolate drizzle on top. The cake was so good! It was fresh and was the perfect combination of vanilla and chocolate. Half of the cake is enough for 3 to 4 people. The jelly donut I was not a fan of. I don't know if it because I waited a few hours to eat it, or they were old, but it was hard when I went to eat it. Will stop by another day and give their famous jelly donut a try. read more

So when I lived in Detroit from 93-08, I used to get these donuts made once a year only by the large polish community. Since moving back to NJ I have been unsuccessful finding the beloved paczki (poon-ch-kee). Until now. I picked up 1 custard, 1raspberry jelly and 1 rose. I loved it! Fat Tuesdays are once again possible. These are heavy donuts filled with custard or jelly. Traditional polish is prune. I don't like the prune. Very inexpensive and delicious. Thank you. read more

For doughnuts and Pastries ONLY; I live nearby so really wish this place was better. I bought a cookie platter from them over the Holidays and it was amazing. I assumed the rest of thier products would be the same...they are not. I bought a few of thier doughnuts for my co-workers and I looked like a fool. THIER FILLINGS WERE LITERALLY A DOT'S WORTH! I wish I was making it up. Bought a cheese/blueberry thing and also had noooo filling. Come on! Stop bieng so cheap with the filling! Maybe it's a Polish thing and we Americans over do it with the filling but this really was ridiculous. Also the dough was bland and felt like a regular fried bun. I consider myself a doughnut connoisseur (evertime I travel I go check out a local doughnut spot and have been stuffing my face with them for years) and these are very sad. I usually don't like writing reviews but since this is a neighbourhood establishment I felt a need to keep it . You should do your very best to come to this place. Tucked away in a polish community, this family owned business wakes up early to be there by 5am. The pasteries are amazing! The doughnuts are also very delish. You can tell the love they put into their product. The girls at the counter are very sweet and while going to school they are helping with the family business. Which means if you don't come here and try this place out, you'll be left with the alternative of going to Dunkin donuts to order a combo #1 extra extra. Wonderful little polish bakery. We get a loaf of rye bread from here once a week. Best rye bread you'll find, bar none. While their breads are their specialty, they also make sweet baked goods that appeal to the polish palate. They tend not to be super rich and over the top sweet like italian or french bakeries, but are worth exploring, especially their poppy seed strudel. The staff all speak polish and english. read more

Pretty easy to find on a residential street(though the main streets leading to it will do a number on your suspension/tires so hopefully they'll patch them up since Winter is just about over). They have a small parking lot(5-6 cars) which is convenient. Small place with a decent assortment. I'm going to list what i've tried in no particular order with my ratings of 0-5 stars. Walnut cookies--very fresh, soft & tasty---5 Paczki(2 each jelly & cream)--considering what other yelpers had said about them I must have bought them on a bad day(Friday) In Poland its customary to enjoy them on Thursdays but I would doubt that has anything to do with it--they were very dense, dry & with just a small bit of filling that could fit on a teaspoon. Even dunking didnt help--wound up throwing out a majority of each----1 Cappuccino cake--moist, light tasting, pretty good--3 Gingerbread cakes--they're about 1" x 1" with a chocolate coating--pretty tasty, fresh--4 Cheese & raisin babka--probably the worst babka i've ever had--maybe 5-6 raisins/slice & just a speck of cheese, very dense, virtually tasteless(no yeast)--more like a bad version of Lithuanian babka, definitely not traditional Polish babka--0 Rye bread---slices a bit thicker than usual, light tasting, fresh--3 2 women behind the counter--the older(flaming red hair offsetted by major tan seemed to be in a bad mood(maybe because I wasn't speaking in Polish?)--younger one was pleasant. Probably one of the worst cakes I have ever bought. Not only did it fall apart immediately, but it was never refrigerated or given instructions how to care for it. Such a shame because I like their cookies throughout the town but probably the worst cake ever. read more
