Lava burst hi-C slushie

I drove by Dave's hot chicken today and so glad I stopped in! This chicken is fire!! I had the 2 sliders medium heat with fries and they have hi-C lava burst slushies!! So good! The ambiance is awesome and the worker we had Jamal was awesome! Portions are huge also. Correction* this was the new Springfield location on Mohawk.

Dave's Hot Chicken is my new chicken place. With customizable heat levels and genuinely good vegetarian options, this has become a go-to for me when I'm craving protein. While I am not vegetarian, one of the folks I live with is. I wish more chicken places had a cauliflower option like Dave's does, because it's so easy to get something for everyone in my house when we start getting that spicy craving. 5 words: Dave's Hot Chicken with honey. Just trust me on this one. This spicy, sweet, and perfectly crispy combo is easily addictive and will get you as hooked on Dave's as I've become. While I haven't eaten in a Dave's yet, only ordered take-out through a meal delivery app, they are always super quick and I get my food while the chicken is still hot and fresh. Give this place a shot!

took a decent amount of time to receive my food but oh well i can live with that and me and my buddy are patient. my only issue is that my chicken was damn near raw, and my strawberry milkshake tasted like straight foam. i won't be returning.

Very good tenders and fries. Excellent coating chicken tender and moist. Great to see new location in Springfield on Mohawk St. Went through drive thru it was very fast.

Tried this chicken spot recently. The food was okay nothing special or memorable, just average. The service was good though, friendly and quick. I'd eat here again if it was convenient, but it's not something I'd go out of my way for or crave.

Dave's is one of those spots I usually only go to after being out for the night. They are one of the few places open late in Eugene and is super close to the popular college bars. I can't say how good the food is on a typical day but I do know that their hot tenders are so very scrumptious after consuming 4 shots of tequila and a few amfs. A group of friends and I came the other week around 1:30am and it was still extremely busy. This night we thought it would be best to order an entire platter of tenders and fries because we would save a few dollars and it was definitely one of our better ideas. Even though having an order so large so late must of been a hassle, the staff was so nice and accommodating.

Food and service was great this past week when we went in! Tried the mac and cheese for the first time and it was really bland honestly but the chicken was super good! Huge portions, tasty and perfectly cooked. Lots of tables around to sit.

Two Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries, mild

Food was fresh, lots of flavor, good portions and the staff were nice and helpful. I got the mild version it's perfect for me. Lots of seasoning but in the best way! Even the fries are seasoned!

Wow....this place rocks. We've been hearing about Dave's Hot Chicken for a while now. Tonight, we decided to trek into town to try them out. I can say, We are 100% not disappointed. The chicken is cooked hot ( like, not spicy, just cooked hot) and the taste is to die for. I got two sliders (which are a very good size for being sliders) with hot and extra hot seasoning. I gotta stress, spicy foods to me taste mild(ish) at best, so be forewarned, it's possible the hot and extra hot are out of some peoples taste pallets). The Fries are delicious. My wife really enjoys her mild slider and tender (she could only eat half her meal). The music they were playing was good music. The decor is kind of like modern graffiti style. This is definitely a place to try if you've never had before. And grab the app and earn rewards to get free food!

Well, I've been hearing all this noise about Dave's Hot Chicken being the Chik-fil-a killer... I just had to try it myself. Ok... it's good, but comparing it to Chik-fil-a isn't really a good way to think of Dave's. This is a unique product that is quite good. I took the family (5 of us) and the total bill was $80 so not too bad. I had the sliders and as spicy stuff can really go wrong with me... I ordered the mild and the medium spice levels. Not too hot but not boring either. I liked the fries, as crinkle cut fries go they were nicely crunchy and seasoned without being obnoxious. From the time we ordered to the time our food arrived was about 10 minutes. The folks taking orders and getting the food out to customers were all pleasant and friendly. The restaurant itself is colorful and somewhat noisy but not so noisy we couldn't have pleasant conversation at our table. A group of 5 was tight at their tables so more than 5 would probably need to take two tables. I made a special trip to try Dave's Hot Chicken tonight. I probably won't make a special trip again, but if I'm in Eugene and feel like a tasty, reasonably priced, chicken forward dinner I'd go again. Definitely worth a try... I saw a guy eating the hottest spice level... he was sweating and had tears and snot running out of his face... I guess it's spicy.

We had heard about this Syrian restaurant in Corvallis (we live in Eugene) and had been meaning to…read morego there for dinner with friends, but it just never seemed to gel. Then, on a trip to the Oregon coast, we happened to be going through Corvallis at lunchtime and decided to stop. We are SO glad we did. All of the other Yelp reviews said it was really good, but few mentioned any specific dish. Except for the hummus, which received off-the-chart good reviews. So we tried the Lamb Hummus dish as well as the Musakhan Rolls, which is a chicken with caramelized onions wrapped in fresh grilled bread. Both were excellent with some notes. The Musakhan Rolls said they come with a garlic sauce. The sauce was excellent, but tasted more like a tart yogurt/sour cream sauce to us. Not a strong garlic flavor. The lamb in the hummus was also very good, but kind of bland. We love lamb when it is prepared well (we usually only order from a Middle Eastern restaurant) and this was prepared perfectly. We just felt it could stand a little more flavor or spice. However, the hummus. Oh. My. Word. The hummus. All of those off-the-chart reviews were spot on. The hummus had to be the best hummus we have ever had in our lives. And we eat a variety of foods from a variety of places. It was the perfect amount of garlic and so creamy, we actually used our fingers to wipe the bowl and get that last remaining bits of the hummus. Our service was excellent. It is family-owned and our server was very pleasant and hospitable. The inside is decorated in what appears to be Syrian decor and is nicely done. Now we have to connect with our friends and go back sometime soon for dinner. Yumm!

This place is dirty and was a real turn- off. The food was mediocre and the appetizer and the…read moreentree were brought ti us at the same time. I questioned the lamb kabobs that were served to us. Instead of chunks of lamb, it was ground lamb. The manager said these were Syrian kabobs and that's the way they are made.

If you ever find yourself in Eugene with a rumbling stomach, do yourself a favor and stop by Ta Ra…read moreRin. I went in expecting a quick bite and left wondering if I should cancel my flight and commit to a long-term relationship with their menu. The service was the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit: attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You know, the sweet spot most places miss by a mile. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: polished enough to feel like you made a good decision, but relaxed enough that no one's judging you for aggressively enjoying your curry. Now, the portions. Let's just say I arrived hungry and quickly realized I had made a tactical error by also having a flight to catch. The plates are generous. Borderline ambitious. Under different circumstances I would've happily taken half of it home. And the price? Genuinely refreshing. You get high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service without that subtle sting of regret when the bill arrives. It feels almost suspiciously reasonable. I walked in trying to kill time before a flight and walked out wondering if I should start scheduling layovers in Eugene on purpose.

I had high expectations at this restaurant because the reviews on Yelp and local people raved how…read moreamazing this place is. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. We got seated right away at a booth with a window view. My waitress was an older Asian lady. She was very nice, not too talkative, but she was on top of her things. I was craving soup and decided on the highly recommended tom kha with tofu. To start, we had thai tea, thai coffee and the shrimp triangle. For our entrees, we decided on the pad see eu (they spell it pad se eu here), panang curry. The shrimp triangles were very yummy. Definitely get those. The thai tea and coffee was good, but just a little watered. I expected the taste to last in my mouth for a little bit. But it didn't. For the soup, I was excited to taste the soup! It smelled really good and it was boiling hot. My thought after my first sip of Tom Kha was, ok, this is good, they got it, but it just wasn't quite there. I couldn't pinpoint what was missing. Then I figured out that they didn't use full coconut milk. It was just a little bit and it was the lighter version. How disappointing! I wanted the robust tang, spice and coconut like how I have at home. The entrees made me sad. I really, really wanted to love it. The panang curry should be rich, thick and creamy. Instead it was soupy. I was really expecting and wanting the curry to stick to my rice, but instead it made soupy curry rice. My daughter pointed out that the curry and the tom kha soup was the same color and consistency. I didn't want to believe, but I think they used the same base and added the appropriate toppingss and seasonings to make a soup and a curry. My saddest dish was my last one that came out. It was the pad se eu. The wide rice noodles was wet and in broken pieces. I'm Asian and I'm from Vegas via Hawaii which means we have a lot of Asian cuisines, we know our food and have friends who work in high end Thai restaurants. (Think Lotus of Siam) When rice noodles break into smaller pieces, it means the noodles are probably not fresh and got hard. To soften, the cook used extra water and the heat was not high enough to cook, so it stuck to pan, making the cook mix it around more...broken wet noodles that doesn't brown. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has potential. Maybe it was an off day but on that day I went, it didn't give me the wow I expected. Most of the items has the taste on point. Please don't water down the curry or use lower fat coconut cream. I'm not used to having regular brocolli in thai food either, but I guess this is what Eugene likes or what we can get. And people, share your food! Thai food is family style! Share it! Put it in the middle of the table and let the other person have some! I was people watching around my table and my table was the only one that didn't have our own entree per person. lol
