I live in the land of hot chicken, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hot chicken. I have eaten here a couple of times, and the food quality the first time was near perfect. You don't want to show up here hungry though, because it is not fast food. The first time we waited about 30 minutes - the second time about 45 minutes. The place is comfortable with red decor, and there are tables inside & outside. If it's busy, I can see all tables being taken. There's free parking outside in the lot. Love: service (kind); chicken (fried well, juicy); fries (crispy, seasoned well); portion (large) Like: spice level (good but not consistent) Dislike: (bathrooms are not clean; didn't check the second visit) read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Tenders & sliders combos with fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

The food had zero flavor. I got the number 4 with medium spice level. The chicken was all spice and no flavor. The fries were ok at best. The sauce added some flavor, but this meal was extremely mid. However, the customer service was great and the dining area was very clean. And I am one to always finish food IF it's good. read more

I was brought here by my 9-year old who was begging to try the "bestest fried chicken, it's better than Cane's!" I got the #1, extra hot. And wow! The flavor, heat, and crunch of the tenders and Dave's sauce - DELICIOUS! The fries were perfectly seasoned and came out fresh. No mushy fries, I appreciate that so much. The only thing to take note of is the longer than normal wait. Our order took 30 minutes to come out, but it appears they were minimally staffed and the two employees that I saw were quick to take orders, respectful and gave really good customer service. The tables were full so we sat outside and the order line continued to extend to the entrance. We are definitely coming back for more Dave's Hot Chicken! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Chicken Shop Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

The establishment is a bit small and crowded. I do like the outside seating here, but when it's really packed there is nowhere to go. Usually the wait is also pretty long due to this. However, I do love their chicken and sauce. As much as the price point is pretty expensive for what you get, the chicken is crispy and pairs great with their Dave's sauce. I also love the pickles you get. The only reason I am giving a 4-star rating is due to the lack of seating, and from the one time I was in tears when trying their reaper mozzarella stick (do not do it). read more

Tried the reaper tender... don't recommend. I had friends throwing up in the parking lot, and I went to take a shit after and my asshole is still burning. I might have burnt all of my taste buds and I'm pretty sure I'm hairless back there. That's how hot it was. I couldn't feel my face and my lips were numb. Honestly should be illegal to serve shit as hot as that... read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - #Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries no pickles or slaw - Chicken Shop Near Me - Columbus, Georgia

Had to wait for the grand opening to die down before we were able to try this establishment ordered the medium hot and the reaper flavoring as well as mac & cheese and a Oreo milkshake. The reaper does get you. There's a reason there's a waiver, but I had a great flavor. The hot was definitely manageable. Could eat the hot any day of the week. The medium was more on a mild flavor profile. Mac & cheese was creamy had flavor in depth great mac & cheese. The Unsung Hero is the pickles you need to jar and sell those pickles cause those pickles are amazing. Downside is order the Oreo milkshake had to go up and ask for it a couple times before we actually got it. They kept forgetting to make it and it wasn't entirely busy and it was liquefied. They made it and it was like Oreo milk not really a milkshake. Very groove vibes. Like the paintings and it was a clean restaurant. Just pricy read more

Food was good. Line was long but cashier was great and provided good service. Location was good.

It's fairly not new new anymore but as soon as the doors opened I was the fifth person in line. Upon entering the ambiance is nice and inviting. Tables were neat and clean as expected again they JUST opened. I got #4 but the cauliflower sandwich and I ordered the chicken bites just to say I had the chicken. Now hands down that was a delicious crispy juicy but not fully soft still has chew in the middle I don't believe the chicken sandwich hitting on that cauliflower. It comes with cheese and I added all the pickles and the Dave sauce. It was delicious. Now the tender bites were good and I ended up putting honey all over and dipping it into the Dave sauce it was good but how amazing the cauliflower sandwich is I know the bites are devine. The sandwich was hot and the bites were extra hot next time I will get the cauliflower extra hot instead of hot. Oh yes the heat is there and my chicken and cauliflower was seasoned to my taste. read more

: I had an awesome experience at Dave's Hot Chicken! The flavors were bold and delicious, and the spice levels were just right for me. The staff was super friendly and the place had a great vibe. Definitely my go-to spot for some tasty, spicy chicken. Highly recommend checking it out read more

I wanted to like this so bad... chicken was overly salty. I couldn't even eat it. I considered drowning the chicken in ranch, but they don't have any. The fries were decent. Pickles good. Staff excellent! read more

I had such a great experience talking to Sierra!! Her personality did a great job lifting my spirits. She is so so kind, you gotta come by Daves Hot Chicken is the BEST! read more

This was our first time ever eating here. My husband & i came here on 6 APR with our 2 small kids, & the power unfortunately went out due to severe thunderstorm & only received one order for a minute, however, one of the employees offered our daughter a slushee & my husband a milkshake free of charge for the inconvenience. I'm not a fan of the food personally, it is as advertised, & there was nothing wrong with it, BUT the customer service is hands downs some of the best we've received in the last few years. read more

If you haven't tried Dave's Chicken yet, you're seriously missing out! The chicken is crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor--whether you go for mild or full heat. The sides are just as good, and the service is always on point. If you love great chicken, this is the spot to hit! Highly recommend! read more

Wasn't that great honestly. Didn't like all the breading and wasn't fresh it seemed. Just felt it could have been better

The woman that I had at the cash register (didn't get a name but she had pink hair) was the nicest and most welcoming person I've ever had a fast food place like this! read more

amazing service very nice even when i came when they opened they were very happy to serve us thank you so much yall are wonderful food was nice and hot and ready and good. from california :) ! read more

Ridiculously overpriced and extremely slow. They prioritize online orders so if you order at the counter, you're waiting for 30 minutes when it's not even busy. The dining area was full but no one had food. It's a simple fast food establishment and they expect you to tip the counter person typing in your order. Never going back. It was clean and the woman that took our order was nice. That's the only reason they got two stars. read more

The hot chicken was awesome. There was a long line but service was overall good. That Mac and cheese is a crime though. They should be ashamed to sell that mess. Even KFC does it better. It was some overpriced, unseasoned, plain-as noodle stuff they sold us for like 6$. Grab the chicken from here but don't waste money on the Mac and cheese. They need to fix that read more

I gave in! Dave's Hot Chicken!! I got extra hot and hot There wasn't much of a flavor to the chicken it just tasted hot (I'd rate 7/10) Once I put the sauce and honey like the employee suggested, it tasted better; increasing it to an 8/10. My husband got lite mild and mild. He said the lite mild didn't have that much flavor but with the sauce it was good giving them a 7.5/10. I suggest you get the sandwich and not just the tenders because they aren't that flavorful. The sauce, slaw, and pickles help increase the flavor. Fries were 8.5/10. I like the seasoning on them and they were crispy. My son (he's 4) picked over his food so I'm not sure he was impressed. Over all I like the food but it wasn't worth the hour and a half wait. The prices is typical considering if you go to any fast food you'll be spending $10+ per meal. I suggest everyone try it in about a month or 2 when the hype dies down because it's not worth the wait. Shout out to the employees because they were all pretty friendly. read more

Really tasty chicken. Very simple menu which helps the line move pretty quick Don't be a punk. Get the reaper.

Makile provided great service Food came out fast and was fresh definitely will be coming back

Been wanting to try this place and finally made it. I ordered the slider mild with fries no slaw. The fries were perfect and so was the slider. I ordered the mild not being sure how spicy and it wasn't spicy at all but very flavorful. It wasn't very busy but it took a long time to get my order. They seamed under staffed. Only saw two employees. Although the cashier was very friendly and pleasant. It was really hot sitting inside, I think they will need to put up blinds or something. And it was very noisy at the register so it was difficult to hear the cashier. Maybe I'm just old. lol. But will definitely be back. I would give a 5 star but the heat inside and long wait did affect my experience. read more

Rude employees, chef told cashier to lock the door at 8:50pm so they could "take a break" when there's people pulling on the door handles to get inside the restaurant. Where i then waited 30+ minutes for my order which usually comes out in about 5 even when it's busy. A family who came in after us got their food before us and when my husband walked over our food was just sitting on the counter. Absolute fucking joke of a staff member and restaurant. Just went to leave and the door was fucking locked. at 940 pm when they close at 11 pm read more

I've tried Dave's before in the Virginia area and wasn't impressed. I decided to give it another try. I was on my way out of Columbus, Ga with family and we stopped for a bite. I live in Columbus. Dave's had been open in Columbus for several months but I had not been yet. This time I decided to try the bites. I had the tenders before. I skipped the heat altogether and I don't regret it. The bites actually had flavor, the seasoning was good. The workers were very helpful, i would say happy to be there. It was awesome. If I'm going to eat somewhere, I want to be comfortable that the workers aren't hating being there and taking it out on me. I don't eat out very much anymore for that reason, but I will return to Dave's. read more

My husband has eaten at a Dave's Hot Chicken in California but this was my first time. They were having some technical difficulties so the wait was long. That being said the staff gave updates and were extremely kind and professional. I have the slider in medium and it was great! The kale slaw and pickles made it perfect! Their fries were hot, well seasoned and fresh. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will be back! read more

Great chicken. Very busy, the staff handled themselves quite well, especially on a Friday night. Tried the Carolina Reaper tender, it's not for the weak. It is not to be taken lightly. read more

Fries were pretty good but not worth the hype everyone put on it. The line and wait was not too bad but you will wait even if there is no one barely there. It is not an actual sauce on the chicken more like a powder seasoning. I wasn't a fan but may try again when they aren't so new to the area read more

I went here today with some friends and I have to say it is quite the disappointment, the fries are good but the chicken is what matters and it wasn't good. It has a hint of a sweetness and that's it, not savory or anything no seasoning and it wasn't really the spice level I wanted. Overall, the chicken tastes bad, the fries and sauce are just like Zaxby's so just go to Zaxby's. read more
