You don't want to show up here hungry though, because it is not fast food. The first time we waited about 30 minutes - the second time about 45 minutes. I was brought here by my 9-year old who was begging to try the "bestest fried chicken, it's better than Cane's!" I got the #1, extra hot. And wow! The flavor, heat, and crunch of the tenders and Dave's sauce - DELICIOUS! The fries were perfectly seasoned and came out fresh. No mushy fries, I appreciate that so much. The only thing to take note of is the longer than normal wait. Our order took 30 minutes to come out, but it appears they were minimally staffed and the two employees that I saw were quick to take orders, respectful and gave really good customer service. The reaper does get you. There's a reason there's a waiver, but I had a great flavor. The hot was definitely manageable. Could eat the hot any day of the week. The medium was more on a mild flavor profile. Mac & cheese was creamy had flavor in depth great mac & cheese. The Unsung Hero is the pickles you need to jar and sell those pickles cause those pickles are amazing. Downside is order the Oreo milkshake had to go up and ask for it a couple times before we actually got it. They kept forgetting to make it and it wasn't entirely busy and it was liquefied. It's fairly not new new anymore but as soon as the doors opened I was the fifth person in line. Upon entering the ambiance is nice and inviting. Tables were neat and clean as expected again they JUST opened. I got #4 but the cauliflower sandwich and I ordered the chicken bites just to say I had the chicken. Now hands down that was a delicious crispy juicy but not fully soft still has chew in the middle I don't believe the chicken sandwich hitting on that cauliflower. It comes with cheese and I added all the pickles and the Dave sauce. It was delicious. Now the tender bites were good and I ended up putting honey all over and dipping it into the Dave sauce it was good but how amazing the cauliflower sandwich is I know the bites are devine. My husband & i came here on 6 APR with our 2 small kids, & the power unfortunately went out due to severe thunderstorm & only received one order for a minute, however, one of the employees offered our daughter a slushee & my husband a milkshake free of charge for the inconvenience. I got extra hot and hot There wasn't much of a flavor to the chicken it just tasted hot (I'd rate 7/10) Once I put the sauce and honey like the employee suggested, it tasted better; increasing it to an 8/10. My husband got lite mild and mild. He said the lite mild didn't have that much flavor but with the sauce it was good giving them a 7.5/10. I suggest you get the sandwich and not just the tenders because they aren't that flavorful. The sauce, slaw, and pickles help increase the flavor. Fries were 8.5/10. I like the seasoning on them and they were crispy. My son (he's 4) picked over his food so I'm not sure he was impressed. Over all I like the food but it wasn't worth the hour and a half wait. The prices is typical considering if you go to any fast food you'll be spending $10+ per meal. I suggest everyone try it in about a month or 2 when the hype dies down because it's not worth the wait. Been wanting to try this place and finally made it. I ordered the slider mild with fries no slaw. The fries were perfect and so was the slider. I ordered the mild not being sure how spicy and it wasn't spicy at all but very flavorful. It wasn't very busy but it took a long time to get my order. They seamed under staffed. Only saw two employees. Although the cashier was very friendly and pleasant. It was really hot sitting inside, I think they will need to put up blinds or something. And it was very noisy at the register so it was difficult to hear the cashier. Maybe I'm just old. lol. But will definitely be back. Dave's had been open in Columbus for several months but I had not been yet. This time I decided to try the bites. I had the tenders before. I skipped the heat altogether and I don't regret it. The bites actually had flavor, the seasoning was good. The workers were very helpful, i would say happy to be there. It was awesome. If I'm going to eat somewhere, I want to be comfortable that the workers aren't hating being there and taking it out on me.
