When I walked up to the counter; I saw a sign on a fridge telling the employees that if they would give free food to people for any reason it would come out of their raises; there used to be a few homeless who would come in and get a cookie or a drink or something but apparently that hurts the bottom line too much? First of all, every single location is dirty. Employees are not welcoming, and EVERY sub I have ordered arrives with greasey spots on the bag the container. The subs are poorly made, and whatever drippings that remain on the paper used to prepare the sandwiches ends up in the container, causing soggy bread. Came last week, drink machine was out of several flavors. Came back today... ice machine broken and drink machine missing 12 flavors! They do not mention this when ordering, just have a sign on the side of the machine about the ice. So ordering a combo was a waste of money. Subs are good quality, the usual for firehouse. read more

Nice location in north Columbus, GA. Same great subs you get at every Firehouse. Staff was friendly, made sub to order and it was ready in under five minutes. Staff wearing masks, but some customers not. Restaurant was clean and seating area inside open for use. As with most locations I've been in, there was a small bit of smoke inside due to them making hot subs (don't know if they could minimize that with better ventilation systems). I will stand on this notion that the workforce in Columbus, Georgia might be the worst workforce ever. They are some of the laziest people I have ever come in contact with no matter what business it is in Columbus. The staff sits around they get on their phone they do not work. This holds true for this location, had I not asked for my food it would've sat behind the steamers. Nobody even knew it was there very sad state of affairs in Columbus, Georgia. read more

The large subs are substantial and are enough for (2) meals for my husband and I. We have never had a bad sub from here and I would give it 5 stars except they left bacon off one of our subs the first time we ordered and gave our order that we online ordered to someone else by mistake another time. read more

Just left, upset. We used to come here frequently - but not after today! I asked for NO PICKLE, ticket clearly says NO PICKLE. Waited quite a while, got our food - all 3 sandwiches had pickles! I complained, asked for the manager - the last 3 times were have come here, same problem. They said and I quote "unless you tell us your allergic....." REALLY?!? Im a regular at this location, and I usually get awesome service!The place was always lively with laughter and great energy. I used to tell the kids that they made my day and joined conversation. Lately I've had to deal with 40+ min wait for soggy sandwiches and attitudes. The new management/staff is horrible, and the operation of the store is going down hill. I have complained about the constant long waits but the manager seems to brush me off with an empty apology. She is someone I don't trust running a restaurant on a busy day. Will not be coming back to any locations, because Macon rd isn't any better honestly. Food is great when made properly, and in a timely manner. Food was good, nothing to complain about with the food and service. I went to use the bathroom, when i got there and it was busy. I checked again after I ordered. It was still busy i waited and a employee came out, when i went in the restroom it was all vaped up where this guy had been in there vaping. Strong smell of bubble gum or something he was vaping. No telling what he was vaping in there to. With someone with health probs i dont like this. I dont want young kids going in there after something like this either. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had- I got the BBQ beef and cheddar brisket- and I'm a pretty picky food critic. The reason I took a star was because the location WAS a little dirty on both locations I've gone in. Not disgusting, sticky tables dirty but we did have to wipe down a spot before we sat. Yes this is a chain....and I hate chains. But when I want a 'sub' style sandwich I always go here. Way better than the 'Metro' or the 'Q'. Best "sub" sandwich chain out there....Engineer Fully Involved with a line a some type sweet heat of hot sauce is the way to go. read more

I have been to this firehouse subs 3 times and like their subs. I don't like the fact that every time we go in there we have to clean of the remnants from the last customers that sat there....you have to search to find the table that is the least dirty and clean it off yourself. Normally, I would wipe it down real quick and not think much about it......If the employees look busy, I got it, but they seem to be just standing around talking, not interested in the up keep of the dining area....fire house subs needs some management especially at this location...... read more
