We were greeted by a sweet server and sat with menus (the booth chairs are very bad and need to be fixed) but it was very clean restaurant. We ordered the original and the butter burger. We both really enjoyed it. It was hot and fresh right off the grill. The french fries were hot too which is always a plus for us. We were also fine with no condiments on the table. This is a phenomenal Steak 'n Shake location! By far the best I have ever been to. The male employee on the drive-thru intercom was so friendly! He made ordering very easy. When I got to the window, the drink and shake for my order were already ready, which was very surprising and fast considering I was the only car in the drive-thru. It only took about 2 more minutes for my order to be ready. All of the employees were social distancing and wearing masks, which made me feel safe about my food. My only problem is that one of the 4 sandwiches in my bag was missing. Luckily, I checked and I just went through the drive thru again and they quickly apologized and had it ready. As always, the food was amazing. I will never stop loving their Frisco Sauce. I always get the Frisco Melt, and they were still doing the free fries promotion. One free small order of fries for every person in your car at the drive thru upon request. Overall, this is an amazingly speedy Steak 'n Shake, and I really hope that it never closes. read more

I am a big fan of Steak N Shake but going to this location was a mistake. I do wonder if I'd gone and eaten in the restaurant if the food would have been better. I ordered a western burger, fries and a peppermint chocolate chip milkshake. Half the onions on the burger weren't cooked, the cheese wasn't melted, the burger was lukewarm and the bbq sauce was missing. I ordered and got my food in under two minutes which was just odd considering I ordered a milkshake. Fries were lukewarm as well. Milkshake seemed to be very unsized compared to previous milkshakes ordered at Steak N Shake. I went to this S&S location in May because it was a freebie. The place was clean enough but it's the usual Burger Grease Pit. They call it "Steak and Shake" but there's not a decent cut of beef in the entire place. Nothing out of the ordinary at this S&S compared to other Burger grease Pits. This place needs new waiters. No matter when you're there, or how many tables are empty, you feel like your waiter has about 50 other tables. The food is greasy. The skinny french fries are yummy, but that's about it. The chili is ALL beans, the baked beans aren't that great, the apples & grapes side tastes like water, or lettuce, or something equally tasteless. As far as the burgers go, they're good, just REALLY greasy. The chicken fingers are okay, not the best, but definitely not the worst I've had. The honey mustard is good, if the right person makes it. Milkshakes are good. But, they're milkshakes. How do you mess that up? Prices are ok if you order off of the regular menu, however recently they added a smaller meal for under 4 bucks.
