(Review from our visit on 4/14) Overall food was ok: I was having a craving for a decent hamburger with fries and a milkshake. Was I able to get all these things? Yes. Price was quite a bit considering we were for paying for everything separately (normal for Five Guys of course, I can't think of a time where they had any kind of meal deals) but that comes with the territory when you're avoiding the typical chains in the area. 3/5 because the restroom was absolutely filthy according to my husband which makes me question the level of hygiene of the staff despite the warm welcome and efficiency. The food is terrible, the service is terrible, the management and the people working there were cold and mean. One manager named "Shauntrell" refused to remake or refund my food after I received the entirely wrong order. The only redeeming factor was an employee named Bradley who was especially kind and attempted to comfort me. I could not recommend this restaurant any less. Five Guys is no frills, darn good burgers and fries. The Columbus, GA location is no different--the employees are wonderful and attentive and the food is great. Quality burgers + free toppings + awesome fries = awesome! The restaurant prepares food quickly and well and the Coca Cola make-you-own-soda machine is there too! When I was last there (yesterday, Saturday, August 3), we were the only ones sitting outside while the inside was packed. I visited on December 5th, 2018, while in Columbus for business. Having been to many Five Guys locations across the country over the years, this review is indicative of this location and not the chain as a whole. 1. My normal wait time at Five Guys nation-wide is between 10-12 minutes, so long as they are not overwhelmed by customer volume. The order at this franchise, despite only five customers in the store, took over twenty minutes. 2. I had ordered a relatively simple order, but the cooks got it wrong and added extra condiments burger. While mistakes happen, I also overheard another customer taking their burger back for having it wrong. 3. I received a "new" less-than-tasteful burger in about five minutes, which directly resulted in significant gastro-intestinal issues throughout the night. Normally, Five Guys is a quality meal for the price and time, but I will not be returning to the Columbus franchise. read more

The value, cleanliness and consistency are top-notch for a burger joint. Don't settle and treat yourself to the occasional McDonalds or worse, Burger King, go for the big dog of burgers and fries. This is not something I would recommend every day or week, but if you eat right the rest of the time, this is the place to trey yourself to fries that you know are made with real potatoes, burgers that while not the best I have had, definitely fill you up with fresh toppings. I recommend starting with the 'little bacon cheeseburger all-the-way' and a small fry if you are dining solo. Move up to a regular fry if dining with 2-3. You will get more than your share of fries in the cup plus an additional overflow tray in the bag unless you are a glutton or have no self-control. To eat the fries, lay the bag on its side and tear the long/widest side in a wide 'Y'. This method provides the best way to share without portioning or dumping out and getting cold fries. The cup used for a regular fry is also the water cup. Water is free. There is a Coke machine with twenty-four varieties of beverage. So if you are feeling frisky and want a Coke flavored Hi-C, Lemonade, Powerade, Orange Coke...well, I don't recommend it, it's there. Enjoy. read more

I love 5 guys, it's like sex for your mouth. i was so glad to see that they finally put one in Columbus and i was there the first day it opened. Their burgers are big and tasty, and can be sloppy if you get all the toppings. They are consistent no matter what restaurant you go to; big tasty burgers. If you get fries, you will get twice as many as any other fast-food restaurant. Their service is fast as well. Use the smart-phone app and you'll never even wait. I was out in the field for several days. Had Lost about 3 pounds so I decided to treat myself to some burgers and fries, especially since Bank of America had a 10% cash back special. My first time to 5 guys after hearing about them for many years. I dunno if it was because I was starving or whatever, but I can say that its pretty good. 4 stars. Fries actually tasted like potatoes, fresh! However, paying $16.82 for fries, burger, and a drink is pretty steep. So I pushed it back one star. This was my first time here today. My husband always raves about how good it is and was in the mood for it today, so we went. Theres a lot of parking available for the few shops in this area of the strip mall and we were able to park right in front. When we walked in it was visibly busy and even more so audibly! The soda fountain is pretty darn neat with all the varieties of drinks. I actually have never seen or used a fountain like that before. The order of fries was so massive that the 3 of us could share. I was glad to see they have vinegar available, i love it on certain kind of fries and their fries are perfect for it. I actually liked the fries more than i did my burger, is that weird? They were skin-on and looked like a fresh-cut style, you could taste the actual potato. My burger, altho was good and tasted like it was homemade, it tasted like something i could have actually made at home. I didnt think it was seasoned anything special, if at all. The bun didnt taste buttered and/or toasted. But i think what youre paying for is to have the option of making your burger tasty by adding anything from lettuce to grilled onions to hot sauce on it. Amazing burgers! Decent prices. Trust me when they say a regular bag of French fries feeds 3 people, take the advice, it fed more than 3 of us and had left overs. So no need to purchase the extra bag or a large bag, the regular is at least for 4 people. Burgers were nice and juicy and loaded with everything equally. Great taste, not a dry patch on the burgers. Can't give them enough credit. They far exceeded our expectations. Great food just small dine in location. Tables that are high should be more separated based on my experience today, a girl walked by the table we sat at with her hair down/loose and stopped to talk with her family and all her hair literally sat at our table.
