Was told by my colleagues that the Parker house rolls and cinnamon butter was great. I had the summer salad (spring greens, cherries, strawberries, and a HUGE knot of burrata cheese, with an additional grilled salmon). This salad was incredible. Highly recommend! The table shared some deviled eggs. The pickled onions on the deviled eggs was so good. Everyone dipped their fries in the chili crisp oil and agreed it was one of the best flavor combos of the trip. The hostess was warm and efficient, seating us immediately. Our server approached with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her craft--she was direct, professional, and all business in the best possible way. Even as closing time drew near, she kept my glass refreshed without needing to be asked, a small but telling detail that spoke volumes about her attentiveness. The space itself strikes a pleasant semi-formal note--clean, polished, and respectful without veering into stuffy territory. Behind the bar, the bartender was meticulously wiping down every bottle, a quiet display of care that set a tone of genuine pride in the operation. We began with a dozen oysters: six raw and six char-grilled. The raw specimens were on the petite side for the price, yet delivered a clean, bright, and pleasantly saline flavor that let the oyster speak for itself. The char-grilled version arrived with a savory Parmesan crust that brought its own appealing character--rich, cheesy, and nicely caramelized in a way that felt unique rather than derivative. The crab dip, however, was a standout. Far superior to the often disappointing versions we've encountered elsewhere, this one tasted of genuine lump crab meat, folded into a properly cheesy, indulgent dip that avoided any unfortunate "buffalo" detours. Served with crisp crostini, each bite was balanced and deeply satisfying--an authentic crab dip done right. The Korean cheesesteak offered an excellent harmony of flavors: tender, well-seasoned meat beneath a luxurious blanket of melted cheese, punctuated by the bright, spicy kick of kimchi and the refreshing snap of pickles. It was delicious, though for the price, I wished for a more generous filling and a bit more heft to the sandwich overall. The mac & cheese arrived in a commendably generous portion, with a beautiful Parmesan crust on top. Visually appealing, the dish unfortunately fell a touch flat on the palate. The noodles were properly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce, yet it lacked the depth and seasoning one hopes for-- a pinch more salt and pepper would have elevated it considerably. The fish and chips presented a towering mound of fries that carried decent flavor but lacked the shattering crispness one craves. The real disappointment lay in the presentation of the fish: two fillets stacked atop one another, causing the steaming heat to turn the once-promising breading soggy and prone to sliding off. That said, the fish itself was excellent--flaky, moist, and delicately sweet with a lovely buttery quality. It was the unfortunate interaction between steam and crust that kept the dish from greatness. The roads were a little dense, so not necessarily my particular style, but I'm good. The butter that came with them was very unique to say the least. To drink, both beers arrived filled to the absolute brim and proved so enjoyable that I would gladly order them again without hesitation. Great rooftop vibes and atmosphere! Very fun, and a sporty bar so great for a bite and to hang out. I asked the server for recommendations and he had great recommendations and was attentive and kept our water glasses full. The crab cakes and crab cakes were yummy and they definitely used real crab. They were a little strong with the crab flavor but in my opinion it was perfect since I'm so used to imitation crab being used. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly but I wasn't crazy about the vegetables, they were covered in some type of sweet/slightly spicy is sauce and I would've liked the carrots to be a little more tender but still good! I was also able to try the short ribs which were tender and yummy and the crispy broccolini served with it was delicious! The Cajun pasta was not bad but would have been better if the portion was a little bigger. read more

Was passing through Columbus headed back to Atlanta and decided to stop by and try this company. The downstairs portion had a considerable wait, so we went to the rooftop area. Instant vibe upgrade. We were seated fairly quickly and our server was very nice. The menu was limited and I'm guessing because it was brunch. I decided to go with the old faithful of grits, eggs, and bacon. The meal came with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. I'm a country boy, so I wound up making a sandwich with the biscuit. The flavor and novelty of the food( the jelly actually had preserves in it) was a pleasant surprise. It was so much food, I couldn't eat it all. But I was certainly happy with my experience. I'm looking forward to going back the next time I pass through. I think you should give it a try as well. read more

First off, I want to rave about our server and I wish I remembered her name, she has like reddish blonde hair I believe. She is on her game & fantastic, 5 star! Yes, thank you We had a work party of seven so we started with appetizers. First, was the bread basket & Everyone seemed to like it because it disappeared quickly. I don't get a vote because I didn't try . We had of course deviled eggs, which if you read my reviews, you know I'm a die hard ( they were good but not the best I've had & I've tried ALOT) and finally, we had the tofu and it was the best I went in for a third piece!!! I definitely give the tofu a 5 star. It was super unexpected. It was a little crunchy on the outside, the dipping sauce or what it's laying in it so yummy. Definitely try it give it a go we didn't and we're definitely happy about that decision!!! So onto the final reason of why I'm giving it a three I got the smash burger and the bun was super dry and it wasn't better than any other burger I've had before. It wasn't very juicy and left me wanting . I would probably say I liked the bacon (added for an additional cost) more than the actual burger! Bummer! I've gone to Nonic once before to get out the house; I saw they were doing a trivia night so I was excited to come play! I sat at the bar area upstairs and the service was okay the drinks were also alright the first time. I didn't get food the first time, but the second time around I wanted to go back for another trivia night grab food and a drink. I sat at the bar area upstairs and unfortunately was not greeted by the young man or young lady behind the bar. They saw I was sitting there but continued to converse amongst themselves and the other patrons at the end of the bar for 5-10 minutes. After no greeting or interaction of any kind, not even a menu, I decided to leave. This time around was pretty disappointing for the price. $100 (including tip) for the size of biscuits and dry chicken was disappointing. I went to Nonic when they were at their other location. I remember there was a couple of Asian dishes on the menus which they said would come back to the menu once they move locations. They opened the new location and the menu had switched up which was a bit disappointing ! I feel like there's not many options on the menu, not much versatility. I must give a disclaimer that I absolutely walked into this place ready to be a hater because of the pricing when I had scouted the menu in advance. That being said... IT. WAS. AMAZING! The building has two floors, restaurant on bottom and rooftop bar on top, and each carries their own vibe. People were seen eating dinner on the first floor then heading up for more drinks upstairs, creating a constant cycle of people without feeling crowded or overly busy. I ordered the Mushroom Gnocchi and was absolutely floored by how well lemon juice and capers could pair with the rest of the dish. I also tried the Korean Fried Chicken appetizer and Fried Snapper and Grits, both of which were flavorful and cooked to perfection. For dessert, I shared the (deconstructed) Peach Cobbler and that was also really good, though definitely too much for one person at the end of all the food I'd had. My group also ordered drinks, with the bartender offering suggestions of their most popular cocktails. I was sad they don't offer beer flights (yet), but I was allowed to sample a few of their drafts before committing to a 16 oz so that was a pleasant surprise. Last time I was in Columbus a few months ago I tried to walk in with a small group but it was booked, this time when I thought to come here, I checked online and made a reservation for later that day (Friday evening). The service was very good - we were seated right away. the food came out quickly, and the staff was very courteous and attentive. The rooftop was closed (I assume seasonally for winter), but the atmosphere inside was nice. I had the chili-crunch salmon. It was great. The salmon was cooked well and the chili crisp and miso toffee butter added lots of flavour. There was a lot of butter but it was served as a little scoop on top of the salmon so it was very easy to just remove and set aside what I didn't need. The crispy rice also had a nice texture. It was a good portion size with a decent cut of salmon and lots of green beans. The food isn't cheap but for a good seafood dish I thought the price was fine. Tip inflation is real though, with the suggested tips on the receipt going from 20-25%. I wasn't miffed about it enough to affect the rating because you still choose what you tip, but seriously? 25%? This restaurant is located in downtown Columbus and parking is on the street. It's got a great modern, yet casual bar atmosphere. I started out with a flight of the beer from the drafts that they offer from various brewers. For dinner I went with the chicken sandwich and hand cut fries. Unfortunately, the chicken sandwich was a bit tough and one of the bites I took was nothing but chicken fat. The fries were pathetic. As you can tell from the picture, they consisted of little bits of mainly greasy fries. Who wants bits of fries? Overall, beer selection was decent, service was great, but food was below average. I'm eating my way around Columbus, GA while here on a mini vacation this Saint Patrick's Day weekend. We had a wonderful server, ELIZABETH who was able to tell us all about the menu and beers as well as cocktails. If you arrive between 4 and 6pm you can enjoy Happy Hour. We ordered Deviled Eggs and Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were on the Happy Hour menu. They both were to die for especially the Deviled Eggs, in fact we ordered two plates. We've passed by this place many times and said the other day we should try it sometime. Well today we decided to try a to-go order to test the water so to speak. We ordered two Korean cheese steak hoagies. Probably the worst sandwich and fries I've had to date. It was "death by salt". Lacking any real marinate in the meat. I guess just soak the meat and cucumbers in Soy Sauce and call it good. The fries were soggy as if they were left in the frier all day. Needless to say both my wife and I ate about two bites and chucked everything into the bin. Billing info: for to-go order they automatically add a 10% gratuity. They also pass on the 3% Merchant Credit Card fee which I really have issues with. I must say that around 7pm on a Tuesday there was a pretty good young to middle aged patronage. I had one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've ever had here. The chicken was for some reason thigh meat which is just weird for a chicken sandwich. It was also over an inch thick. It was so hot that after 10-15 minutes it still hadn't cooled down enough to eat so eventually I just cut it up into smaller pieces so it could actually cool and not burn my face off. The flavor wasn't that good, either, and the texture of the chicken and the thickness made me feel almost sick after eating it. The fries were okay. The prices are too much. This is Columbus, not Atlanta (where you can get much better chicken sandwiches for less). read more
