I would give Jarfly 9 stars if I could. We were on our way from a long day in a production facility in Eufaula, AL to Atlanta, GA with customers and we found Jarfly on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did. The menu is eclectic with just about something for everyone. All our food came out quickly. It was well prepared, fresh and everyone really enjoyed their food. There is a great drink selection and the service was excellent. The bar has roll up garage doors down one side that open up to an outdoor seating area with a variety of seating options. Decor is bright and cheerful. If I lived around here, Jarfly would be high up on my list as far as places to go relax drink and eat! read more

We came all the way from South GA and had a terrible experience. It was obvious we weren't wanted there by the host with the multi colored hair. It gave very racist but we had a waiting time for an hr because there was "no seating" for our group of 21. But we did express we do not have to sit together, we would just like to be seated. there were two booths that held at minimum 6 people and a 8 top open. but we were still on the wait list so we said we will wait. an hr passed and we noticed a lot of people walking in and never coming back out to wait as we were. the booths and top were full, and we were told "there's just no way to sit all 21". lol but others were seated. another guy was nice and got us an empty section and sat all of us in 7 mins. the host had the worst attitude, rolling eyes, and etc. she doesn't need to be in the front clearly. but anywho don't go here you see how this went . and it's juneteenth. read more

The combo appetizer included sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks, wings, and nachos. The nachos were pretty basic--nothing special, no real cheese, barely any toppings. They honestly don't need to be on the menu. The mozzarella sticks were surprisingly flavorful with a nice crunch, but they came with way too much breading and only three of them, which felt stingy and odd. They definitely should've included more. The sweet potato fries had decent flavor but were under-salted (as fries almost always need after frying) and came out a bit limp and sad-looking. The hot wings weren't labeled as boneless or bone-in on the menu, but they turned out to be boneless--which is fine. They were a good size, but the "hot" sauce was extremely mild. It needs way more heat to live up to the name. Now, the ranch... this ranch is incredible. It's creamy, deeply flavored, and has the perfect amount of dill--it's practically divine. I could rave about this ranch all day. The Zombie drink comes in a cool skull glass (limited to one per person), but it's basically 99% ice with very little actual drink. I could barely taste any alcohol--maybe I have a high tolerance--but the flavor was solid. Still, it's pretty pricey for mostly ice. The John Denver cocktail also looked great in its presentation, but again, mostly ice. Thankfully, the flavor matched the menu description exactly, which was a pleasant surprise. The patty melt was solid overall, but it needed more salt and pepper for seasoning. My egg was overcooked (fully hard yolk instead of the runny one I was hoping for to ooze over the patty). The avocado was only on one half of the sandwich, which seemed strange. I'd have preferred a slightly thicker patty too, but I do appreciate that it came on Texas toast--even though the menu didn't mention it. All patty melts should use Texas toast. I added a side salad, which looked nicely artisanal, and--once again--that amazing ranch took it to another level. The regular fries that came with the Rodeo Burger aren't regular at all--they're battered and had great flavor and crisp structure. They were excellent... except for the missing finishing salt that every great fry deserves. The Rodeo Burger itself was cooked perfectly, but like the patty melt, the patties needed more salt and pepper. The egg was again overcooked (hard yolk). Beyond that, the flavors worked well, though the jalapeños were surprisingly mild and lacked punch. The bacon was spot-on--not underdone, not overcooked, just the right chew without being tooth-breaking. I was in town visiting family and we popped into Jarfly for a quick snack and a pint. The big draw was their patio-- but it was of course insanely full. We were promptly seated and our drinks were out in no time. The wings and guac/salsa we ordered were ok-- but a bit over priced for what they were. (The hot sauce was indeed very hot!) My kiddos devoured chicken tenders and tots! Those were for sure a winner. The beer selection includes some local brews, which I appreciated. The cocktail menu had something for everyone-- even including a plethora of booze-less concoctions. Staff was friendly. Parking is a non-issue. My son and I came in for an early dinner a couple of weeks ago. We both really like this spot and it was our first time dining here. My son had an IPA (leaf doesn't fall from its tree ;) but this time I ordered a frozen drink since it was warm and we sat outside on their patio. We shared a smash burger and the asada fries. After numerous visits the verdict... This place is a losing proposition on every front. From the servers to the food it's always a disappointment. No one seems to care about the quality of the experience. I've never seen a manger on site over seeing the run of the house. Owners are obviously not involved and don't care. There is no passion for the food or making sure customers are happy. Our server basically ignored me for the 2 hours we were there. Never addressed me. Never asked me if I wanted anything. Super cute eat & drink spot in Columbus! We sat outside on a summer night (super hot) because it was packed inside but felt great with the fans and mist. Service was phenomenal - our server Elijah was speedy and made the best recommendations and made us all smile. They've got some really neat drinks. The catfish was perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with a zesty remoulade sauce. The small $16 burgers (with fries) are overcooked and laid between a thin soggy school cafeteria bun. The ranch dipping sauce was enhanced? with ground black pepper and dill I think. Made an account just to talk about how unreasonably bad my experience at Jarfly was. I came in with another person and was seated in front of a family of 2 adults and 4 very young and loud children in a mostly empty restaurant that kept turning around to bang on the top of the booth I was at which ruined the vibe. Service was unreasonably slow. It took around 30 minutes to get a burger (again, in a mostly empty restaurant). The burger itself was overpriced for it's lacking quality. I could've just went to chillis for less money, with a far bigger and better burger. Additionally, I ordered a double patty for $17 but they came out with a single patty for $14 due to the server's lack of comprehension skills. As a line cook that has worked as a server, runner, and busser there is no excuse. Everyone involved was not in it to win. Jarfly will not survive in this industry if this is normal behavior. read more

This place is amazing. Stopped in here on the way back from a beach trip. This is a garage/patio style place. Vibe is relaxed. Good background music played not too loudly. They have TVs if you're looking to watch a game. I had a "fig-fashioned" which was an old-fashioned made with fig infused bourbon that tasted great. Good beer selection. Food was also very good. Went into jarfly for lunch and had a great experience! Upon walking in I noticed the outdoor area. I immediately knew I wanted to sit outside. The service was stellar. Our server came multiple times to check on us and she had good conversation. In terms of food, we ordered the empanadas to start off with. They were not too greasy and the meat was nicely seasoned. The two sauces that came with the empanadas were so good! I tried the chicken tortilla soup which was okay. Then I had the pork belly bowl. The bowl was also okay. I ate it all but it is not something I will get again. I also had a carnitas taco which was flavored nicely. The meat melted in my mouth. I do feel like there was a lot going on with the tacos in terms of toppings. A nice spicy sauce would have been great on the taco just to add a kick. Lastly I tried the s'more cup. The marshmallow tastes like char so I was not a fan. The ice cream and graham crackers were good, but again, probably not something I would try again. Wow, I came here on a recommendation from a friend who always has excellent taste in food, and I was blown away! This friend said it was the best place in Columbus, and he might have honestly been right! I got the poke bowl and the pork belly tacos. The taco was very savory, and the peppers and cheese gave a nice acidity and creaminess to balance out the pork without overpowering it. Definitely would recommend- even though the pork belly wasn't super crispy, I think it fit well with the overall texture of the dish. They did have other pork belly dishes, and I wonder if they have crispier pork for those. Still, an awesome dish. The poke bowl was one of the most unique poke bowls I have ever had! I was absolutely stunned by the quality of the ahi tuna, which I was not expecting from this city. The tuna was comparable to some I have had on major coast cities honestly, and I loved it. Was passing through Columbus on the first day of spring break and stopped in at Jarfly based on the online menu- such a perfect vibe for spring break! They have a whole wall open to their outdoor area with lots of quirky furniture and bright colors. Drinks were top-tier! My tiki-enthusiast husband had the First Rodeo and loved it; he wanted to try everything on the menu! I am less adventurous, but live for an old-fashioned. Had the Fig Fashioned with fig infused bourbon and ginger- so good! The food was also great- I sampled three different tacos- all delicious- and my husband went for wings and asada loaded fries. This is one of the first places that I came to visit when I first got to Columbus, not only is their food really good but they are also dog friendly! They give your dog water bowls, and also provide shade when the sun is beaming. We went at an odd time of day, so the service wasn't great - staff was friendly but we were forgotten for a while and I had to go find someone to take our order. The restaurant was not busy, but it was shift change time. We both had the mushroom banh mi. Sandwich was good, but could have used more pickled veggies/jalapenos; it was just slightly lacking in flavor. So, not the best banh mi I've ever had, but was still quite good. We both also had the sweet potato fries, which were very tasty. I had wanted to try the Murder Hornet, but they were out of the ingredients, so I tried the Surfliner instead. I don't like sweet cocktails, but this was fine without being overly sweet. Mom had a beer. Overall, seems like a nice enough place and I'd definitely try it again when visiting my mom. read more
