Perfect weather! Perfect greeting by Katie (and she took our group picture!) so welcoming,…read moreelevated and an absolute gem! She was super busy, but checked everyone in and gladly took a photo! Let's talk about customer Service! From the moment Cade stepped up to say Hi, I knew we were going to have great service! We asked a lot of questions, and he made the best suggestions! Top notch! One of my friends was commenting on how she always has the best service, and she and Cade realized he had taken care of her group before! Consistency in the restaurant business is key, but you all nailed it! The wine flight (thanks Cade for the amazing recommendations!!) and the food was outstanding! Huge portions! My husband enjoyed my leftovers for dinner! Thank you for a fabulous experience!

The winery was overly packed and believe the owner wasn't expecting such a huge turnout. The wait was about 3 1/2 hours! I tried calling to make reservations earlier in the week, but they were only accepting reservations for 12+. As we waited, there were lawn games to play, live music to listen to and fabulous drinks to be had. The choc covered strawberry wine slushies were absolutely delicious!! We had a couple appetizers while waiting as well... The spinach and cheese stuffed bread, baked Brie and pimento cheese dip. All excellent, and some of the best pimento cheese dip we have had. When we finally got seated, we ordered a couple wine flights and the bruschetta pasta for dinner along with the pecan crusted chicken wrap. The chicken seemed a little dry but the wrap was still fresh and tasty. I have been there before and love the winery. I will continue to go back as their food is always fresh and delicious, their staff is friendly and the establishment itself is very clean.

This place is a great find in Columbus, GA. Located in an up and coming area on Broadway and near…read morethe river, Gabagool has a great vibe and feels right in and among the other industrial style brick buildings that have turned into great venues and restaurants. I was eating alone and sat at the bar and the server was respectful, attentive, and took my order quickly. The main reason this place drew me in was because of their menu emphasizing "home-made pasta." Anytime i see this in an Italian restaurant, I am going to because I've been searching for a restaurant to even come close to the homemade pasta my wife and I had in Florence, Italy. So in an effort to find that dish, I ordered the Bolognese. It wasn't exactly that true Italian bolognese that is closer to a stroganoff, but it was good. The dish has a great balance in the sauce-to-beef, and their homemade pasta was cooked perfect. I also ordered a side of their string fries with aioli. These were not as good as the main dish, they came out a little cold and lacked knock out flavor. Overall, I think this is a great spot, not just for an Italian place in Columbus, but for a true, homemade pasta experience. Every pasta dish I saw looked great and I loved the ambiance. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Columbus!

There were a couple of people at the bar, others leaving, and one other seated party. So it wasn't packed on arrival, but once we were seated others began to arrive. The dining room isn't very big, it's quaint. Low lighting, white table cloth, candle lit, date night ambiance. Love it! Music playing: R&B jazz instrumentals; a little on the loud side, but not a deal breaker. There was no live music while we were there, but they do offer that on certain days. There is one unisex restroom, It appeared clean and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the restaurant. This place specializes in Charcuterie, meats, cheeses, wine, etc. But we were simply on the hunt for the best steak in Albany. Our server Hannah, was excellent! I hope she's there when I go back. She, and the rest of the staff were all perfect; a breath of fresh air in this customer service drought of a town. Hannah explained the menu, specials, what they offer on certain days, and everything else we wanted to know. She checked on us often, and we wanted for nothing. My husband and I don't drink, so we got a couple bottles of sparkling water and a soda. (This day they offered Pepsi products) For starters we had the Korean Duck Tacos and Bruschetta Al Pomodoro. The sauce on the tacos was a lot sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. Perfect tender meat, and choice toppings. The Bruschetta, was pretty good. But not anything I'd just HAVE to order again. My husband got a Medium Well Ribeye, collards, and creamed potatoes. He said the steak was a HIT:tender and flavorful. No complaints. He enjoyed the collards, and potatoes, as well. I had Lemon Herb half Chicken, Broccoli, and Creamed potatoes. The chicken, and lemon sauce were AMAZING! The chicken seemed brined, baked low and slow, so good. The broccoli tasted steamed and seasoned nicely. I'm not a fan of the potatoes. While they had great flavor, even without the lemon sauce; it was the texture. They were too loose. I prefer a thicker creamed/mashed potato. This establishment gets five stars, because customer service was exceptional, they go out of their way to give you a fine dining experience, and the food was overall fantastic! If you're in the area and in the mood for Charcuterie, or on the hunt for the best steak in Albany like we were: Come here! I do believe you won't be disappointed:)

The restaurant is very cozy with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. This was our third visit to this restaurant and each time we have enjoyed a delicious meal. We chose stuffed mushrooms as our appetizer along with two robust cocktails. They offer an extensive wine selection as well as a full bar. For our entrees we enjoyed a very tasty stuffed shrimp linguini and an interesting salmon Wellington with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Both portions were plenty for us to thoroughly enjoy! No room for desert this trip; next time we must plan our dinner meal just a little bit better. I'm sure that we'll arrange another stop over (and delightful meal) in Albany the next time we venture out into Georgia!

The best restaurant in LaGrange, GA, is in West Point, GA…read more This place is a one-of-a-kind treat in every possible way! If you arrive at lunchtime to a locked door, don't be shy! KNOCK BOLDLY, asking for lunchtime availability! They told us to encourage that! A friend and I had been to Sip for lunch several times (as had both of us with groups of friends) and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. After checking that it was open on Tuesday, we went there again intending to feast again for lunch. When we arrived at what we thought was the right time, though, the door was locked. After pulling on the handle to no avail, the door was opened by the friendly kitchen manager, Melissa, who told us that they were only open now at lunchtime on weekends for brunch and Wed. through Sat. for dinner. She told us to wait just a minute, then opened the door wide for us to enter, greeted not only by her but also by the owner, Jamie, who welcomed us with open arms for a "private" lunch. It turned out that they were testing the full menu that day to ensure consistency in every dish. He offered us our choice of anything on the menu and spent much of his busy time chatting with us about his and his wife's arrival in West Point from LA (Lower Alabama and Prattville) via Atlanta to West Point for a change of pace, vocation, and lifestyle. Both Jamie and Melissa (the rest of the staff was in the kitchen testing and cooking) were sincere, hospitable, and incredibly personable. He said that sometimes he sits outside and talks to passers by who may think the restaurant is too expensive and upscale to try. One night, he invited a biker who was waiting in line outside a neighboring less formal restaurant to come look at the venue and the menu. He and his friends are involved in biking to raise funds for charities such as service veterans. He was so impressed with Sip that the next morning he and 17 of his friends showed up for brunch! He also told us how, in contrast to his engineering background, he'd ended up owning and running a FABULOUS, atmospheric restaurant in small town West Point, GA. Having decided to detour his career, he hired a consultant who must be excellent him/herself because, once you set foot in the environment, it is calm and welcoming, the menu is varied offering something for all palates, and he and his staff are attentive but not overbearing or unctuous. Aspects of his engineering background come through in his attention to detail and desire for memorable eating experiences through practice, practice, practice. He also emphasized the team approach involving the entire staff in ensuring a memorable dining experience for his customers. His goal is that they will be so consistent that anyone could take their recipes and replicate them in any kitchen. After mulling over the broad menu, my friend ordered lobster thermidor. Melissa exclaimed that it was her favorite item on the menu, so I, too, ordered it after considering the gumbo or spicy shrimp. Oh My Gravy! We were NOT disappointed. Had Melissa and Jamie not been around, I would have picked up the lobster shell and gnawed it to be SURE I had ALL of the meat eaten! It was tender, buttery, but not smothered in sauce and SOOO good I was ready to go back for dinner! There was enough of it and some accompanying greens that we didn't need more (although we ordered a scrumptious cheesecake to top it off!) The meal offered a sufficient amount of food for dinner as well as lunch. My friend and I told him how much we--and others, several of whom drive farther to Auburn, AL for dinner out--wished that he would expand to LaGrange, GA, our hometown as we have LOTS of "restaurants" but few that offer a consistently delicious meal in a relaxing, atmospheric venue. We were thrilled with our choice and are planning on taking many more friends down there for weekend brunch or dinner!
