Food was amazing! Went here for birthday dinner and it was great. I would make a reservation as it does fill up quick in there. I would highly recommend and will be going back!

Delicious! I have been wanting to try Gabagool since they first opened, but it has taken me a minute to get there. When you walk in the atmosphere feels cozy and like a new age Italian. Service was 100% on point. Our server made jokes, recommended both drinks and dishes, and offered options like both marinaras for garlic bread. The chicken parmesan was so good. The portion size was huge. Pricing is also pricey so the fact that you get bigger portions and leftovers in our case was really nice. Overall, Columbus has some of the best restaurants to try and this is one of them!

Really enjoyed this place! Went with some friends. Waitress was great and had awesome suggestions. I ordered the chicken gnudi. Gnudi is similar to gnocchi but made out of cheese instead of potatoes, yum!!! Vodka sauce was with my dish and was really good. I grabbed a mezcal cocktail which was very well balanced. My friends got the steak and salmon. The shiitake mushrooms on the steak were excellent! I also had a taste of the risotto that came with the salmon, absolutely delicious!! Prices were reasonable and location is off Broadway in a nice area in Columbus. Excited to go back and try more dishes!! Oh yeah and Oreo cheesecake very yummy as well!

The chicken parmigiana was very good. Juicy chicken with tasty fresh pasta. Great service! Be prepared for a wait. Best to have a reservation before you go. Otherwise you will be waiting for a while. Very high end place for a nice date.

Food was absolutely fantastic! Ordered the mozz sticks, frito misto, chicken parm, crab bucatini, and panna cotta. Mozz sticks really are life changing. Chicken parm was super tender, just crispy enough, and radiatore is divine. The crab bucatini was just spicy enough, creamy, and fresh. They helped us celebrate our anniversary and we went with the dessert special - vanilla panna cotta with mixed berry compote. Perfect texture and one of the best desserts we have ever had. Luna took such good care of us! Already planning our next trip back.

I started the evening with an Aval Rosé Cider and a side of Rosemary Fries. The fries were quite tasty, but I didn't get a lot of rosemary. That being said, I'd get them again. For my entree, I had the lasagna and a glass of Barbera. The lasagna was really lovely. They were four to five lasagna rolls in a bolognese sauce with whipped ricotta, and I was wondering if there was also some of the gremolata in it because I got some hints of lemon zest. The flavors were fantastic. I had the tiramisu for dessert. And wow, it was amazing. It was served in a Gabagool glass, and the layering was perfect, the ladyfingers tender and flavorful. I want to come back sometime and try the Osso Bucco. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very attentive. The only constructive I would offer is that the bartender asked if I was interested in dessert when I was barely halfway through my entree. Not a big deal, but it's generally better to wait til you've cleared the dinner plates. The decor is stylish, and it's the kind of place I would visit again.

Lately I rarely feel the energy to leave a review after I leave an establishment but I've been in town for a funeral and I've had no luck in finding a great damn cocktail in this area with amazing Service until today. I was up the road at Mix Market and the drinks sucked and they had no mezcal. I have been on the hunt for Mezcal cocktails and luckily one of the reviews here was a picture of a Mezcal marg so I came running !! Richard was bartending, his empathy, service, cocktail knowledge and just overall outlook on product awareness far exceeded anything I've encountered in a while. This place is a hidden gem ! The cocktails are amazing !!! I had their infamous olive Oil infused gin martini, their prosciutto infused Mezcal Bloody Mary, their espresso martini ( added cream) with enhanced salted caramel, their Mezcal passionfruit margarita, the mustache drink!!! Their chicken parm entree and their white chocolate cheesecake omg !!! I want to go back tomorrow, but Richard said Tuesdays is the only day he serves and doesn't Bartend so if I come back I may need to reserve a table ! The manager was amazing and made sure to stop periodically to check on us and give his input on his fave dishes. If you haven't been here you need to immediately!!! I told myself I was done with Yelp and leaving reviews after I was reprimanded for leaving my honest review on a business prior and yelp removing it , but this place deserves all the great positivity coming their way. Definitely add this to your bucket list. Most drinks were around $13.00 . I cannot wait to come back and try the orange cheesecake martini or the limoncello cheesecake martini... see y'all there tomorrow

Nice atmosphere. It is loud inside like a lot of the other downtown restaurants due to the acoustics of these old buildings. Service was attentive but not overly so. We had a party of 6 and they very accommodating while we waited for one person to be able to get there. Apps were all great. Mozzarella sticks, Ricotta Toast and Pizza Rolls. The pizza rolls were my favorite. The Ricotta Toast needed a lot more bread for the amount of ricotta spread that you get. They did bring more when we asked but even after bringing more there was still some left. I had the Swordfish Picatta. I did enjoy it. However the reason I like piccata is the lemon flavor and it did not have very much lemon flavor. Other members of our party had the meatball parmesan, chicken parmesan, carbonara and the chopped salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My son got the grilled cheese sandwich from a non-printed kids menu. I do not recommend you get this. I did not realize it until we were in the car driving home and he told me "the sandwich was made for beavers". I wish he had spoken up during the meal but the bread for the grilled cheese was extremely hard. Overall I was very pleased.

I was so excited to finally try this place so I made a reservation for my birthday dinner with my husband and our friends. First, the service was wonderful. My pesto pasta was pretty good and the rosemary fries were great. My husband loved his espresso martini. My husband and friends said their pasta dishes were just okay. I tasted my husband's lasagna and I also just thought it was okay. The garlic bread had very little garlic flavor and the pizza "rolls" were bland and had very little filling so those were disappointing. Our main complaint was simply the heat. I don't know what was going on with the air conditioner last night but we were uncomfortable and drenched in sweat when we left. We couldn't wait to get out of there and it was actually cooler outside than it was inside the restaurant. It just made it very difficult to relax and enjoy ourselves. I would like to give this place another chance because I keep hearing great things about it, but unfortunately we just didn't have the best experience, overall.

    Spinach and artichoke risotto

This is our first time here and we will most definitely be back! The service was spot on our server was very attentive without being hovering. The hostesses were very accommodating, we made a 9:00 p.m. reservation got here early and they were able to see us 35 minutes before our reservation time. I can't speak enough about the food! I had the crab rigatoni with a side dish of spinach and article choke risotto my husband had the chicken parm and a side order of their Friday plant. We also had amazing mixed drinks. I had an espresso martini, which is the best I've ever had my husband had Long Island iced tea as one of the best he's ever had and he's a Long Island iced tea snob. They also have an orange cello cheesecake Martini that is super delicious. And the orange cello is made in house. You get the opportunity, come to Columbus downtown and try gabagool! Forgot to mention the atmosphere for this place. Plenty of sopranos memorabilia scattered around and if you know the series you will recognize all of the watercolor prints!

The winery was overly packed and believe the owner wasn't expecting such a huge turnout. The wait was about 3 1/2 hours! I tried calling to make reservations earlier in the week, but they were only accepting reservations for 12+. As we waited, there were lawn games to play, live music to listen to and fabulous drinks to be had. The choc covered strawberry wine slushies were absolutely delicious!! We had a couple appetizers while waiting as well... The spinach and cheese stuffed bread, baked Brie and pimento cheese dip. All excellent, and some of the best pimento cheese dip we have had. When we finally got seated, we ordered a couple wine flights and the bruschetta pasta for dinner along with the pecan crusted chicken wrap. The chicken seemed a little dry but the wrap was still fresh and tasty. I have been there before and love the winery. There were a couple of people at the bar, others leaving, and one other seated party. So it wasn't packed on arrival, but once we were seated others began to arrive. The dining room isn't very big, it's quaint. Low lighting, white table cloth, candle lit, date night ambiance. Love it! Music playing: R&B jazz instrumentals; a little on the loud side, but not a deal breaker. There was no live music while we were there, but they do offer that on certain days. There is one unisex restroom, It appeared clean and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the restaurant. This place specializes in Charcuterie, meats, cheeses, wine, etc. But we were simply on the hunt for the best steak in Albany. Our server Hannah, was excellent! I hope she's there when I go back. She, and the rest of the staff were all perfect; a breath of fresh air in this customer service drought of a town. Hannah explained the menu, specials, what they offer on certain days, and everything else we wanted to know. She checked on us often, and we wanted for nothing. My husband and I don't drink, so we got a couple bottles of sparkling water and a soda. (This day they offered Pepsi products) For starters we had the Korean Duck Tacos and Bruschetta Al Pomodoro. The sauce on the tacos was a lot sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. Perfect tender meat, and choice toppings. The Bruschetta, was pretty good. But not anything I'd just HAVE to order again. My husband got a Medium Well Ribeye, collards, and creamed potatoes. He said the steak was a HIT:tender and flavorful. No complaints. He enjoyed the collards, and potatoes, as well. I had Lemon Herb half Chicken, Broccoli, and Creamed potatoes. The chicken, and lemon sauce were AMAZING! The chicken seemed brined, baked low and slow, so good. The broccoli tasted steamed and seasoned nicely. I'm not a fan of the potatoes. While they had great flavor, even without the lemon sauce; it was the texture. They were too loose. I prefer a thicker creamed/mashed potato. This establishment gets five stars, because customer service was exceptional, they go out of their way to give you a fine dining experience, and the food was overall fantastic! If you're in the area and in the mood for Charcuterie, or on the hunt for the best steak in Albany like we were: Come here! I do believe you won't be disappointed:)

KNOCK BOLDLY, asking for lunchtime availability! They told us to encourage that! A friend and I had been to Sip for lunch several times (as had both of us with groups of friends) and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. After checking that it was open on Tuesday, we went there again intending to feast again for lunch. When we arrived at what we thought was the right time, though, the door was locked. After pulling on the handle to no avail, the door was opened by the friendly kitchen manager, Melissa, who told us that they were only open now at lunchtime on weekends for brunch and Wed. through Sat. for dinner. She told us to wait just a minute, then opened the door wide for us to enter, greeted not only by her but also by the owner, Jamie, who welcomed us with open arms for a "private" lunch. It turned out that they were testing the full menu that day to ensure consistency in every dish. He offered us our choice of anything on the menu and spent much of his busy time chatting with us about his and his wife's arrival in West Point from LA (Lower Alabama and Prattville) via Atlanta to West Point for a change of pace, vocation, and lifestyle. Both Jamie and Melissa (the rest of the staff was in the kitchen testing and cooking) were sincere, hospitable, and incredibly personable. He said that sometimes he sits outside and talks to passers by who may think the restaurant is too expensive and upscale to try. One night, he invited a biker who was waiting in line outside a neighboring less formal restaurant to come look at the venue and the menu. He and his friends are involved in biking to raise funds for charities such as service veterans. He was so impressed with Sip that the next morning he and 17 of his friends showed up for brunch! He also told us how, in contrast to his engineering background, he'd ended up owning and running a FABULOUS, atmospheric restaurant in small town West Point, GA. Having decided to detour his career, he hired a consultant who must be excellent him/herself because, once you set foot in the environment, it is calm and welcoming, the menu is varied offering something for all palates, and he and his staff are attentive but not overbearing or unctuous. Aspects of his engineering background come through in his attention to detail and desire for memorable eating experiences through practice, practice, practice. He also emphasized the team approach involving the entire staff in ensuring a memorable dining experience for his customers. His goal is that they will be so consistent that anyone could take their recipes and replicate them in any kitchen. After mulling over the broad menu, my friend ordered lobster thermidor. Melissa exclaimed that it was her favorite item on the menu, so I, too, ordered it after considering the gumbo or spicy shrimp. Oh My Gravy! We were NOT disappointed. Had Melissa and Jamie not been around, I would have picked up the lobster shell and gnawed it to be SURE I had ALL of the meat eaten! It was tender, buttery, but not smothered in sauce and SOOO good I was ready to go back for dinner! There was enough of it and some accompanying greens that we didn't need more (although we ordered a scrumptious cheesecake to top it off!) The meal offered a sufficient amount of food for dinner as well as lunch. My friend and I told him how much we--and others, several of whom drive farther to Auburn, AL for dinner out--wished that he would expand to LaGrange, GA, our hometown as we have LOTS of "restaurants" but few that offer a consistently delicious meal in a relaxing, atmospheric venue. We were thrilled with our choice and are planning on taking many more friends down there for weekend brunch or dinner!
