I liked the service and cleanliness of the place. The dough for the pizza here isn't very good.

The staff were friendly and pizza was good.i just wished the pizza places would serve the first slice like they used to.

Meatball appetizer was great had good flavor and good texture. The garlic knots were less than to be desired very bland. We're under cooks and very chewy. The pepperoni pizza was the star had amazing flavor to it. The margarita pizza was also very good. The buffalo chicken was not a re-order in my opinion the chicken had a weird texture to it Very dark atmosphere you almost can't see what the hell's going on in there. Service is hot and cold depending on who's working one waitress was very attentive and then one was not even paying attention will become a regular spot for good pepperoni pizza.

Hilarious that the new owner is writing reviews on her own restaurant. Honey, it's not all that. Service is hectic and scattered (not a fan of very young children "employees" handling my food) - and so many people have commented about the undercooking of the food. My most recent pizza there had a gummy crust. Gummy! Come on, Lori D., cook the food properly. The salad had more brown lettuce than green. I really want to like this place but you're making it very challenging to do so.

1/2 Krystal and 1/2 deluxe (medium) pizza!

Great place! The food was delicious and we really over ordered. We wanted to try it all, I guess. Garlic cheesy bread, meatball's, chicken tetrazzini, and pizza. All good. You can get pizza by the slice, which is huge (approximately, the size of 2 regular slices/ or, 1/2 of a 10 inch pizza.) The prices are reasonable. It's very casual, neat and clean. It smells so good, when you walk in. The waitress was very welcoming and attentive. We got a "to go" pizza. 1/2 deluxe and 1/2 Krystal. Yes, Krystal... I figured we would try it. Probably, considered a cheeseburger pizza, at other places. It says, "mustard based," and they meant it. It's very tart. I prefer the deluxe, it was hot and yummy. I recommend! It's a quaint, family friendly, casual Italian restaurant, with a great variety, that is sure to please! Must try

We were attending a concert in downtown Columbus, so I wanted to have dinner relatively close. This…read morerestaurant had been under construction the last time we visited, but it was a viable option this time. I made a reservation a month or so in advance (though it may be possible to get a table closer to your target date than that). We arrived just before our 5:45 p.m. reservation. It was bitterly cold that day, so I dropped my wife off and searched for parking. My advice: there seemed to be more spaces available on 1st Avenue north of the restaurant. I circled around some other streets first and found nothing. The restaurant itself is a somewhat narrow but deep space in its building. When you enter, the first room has the bar on the left and tables on the right. There is a secondary smaller room towards the back which was where our table was. Our waiter showed up and got our drink orders. There was an extensive list of specials and drinks, which was fine. I don't think we opted for them, but it was nice that they had a changing variety of dishes. As this was our first time here, everything was a novelty. I had some wine; the pours were average. I think the entrees came with salads, which were good. For the main dish, I had to decide between lasagna, spaghetti, and a mushroom ravioli + steak option. I went with the latter, and was pleased. The steak was just 4 oz, but that's fine given the overall dish. It was cooked well and tasty. The ravioli were good as well. I did not manage to finish them, but enjoyed them for lunch the next day. My wife opted for a fish dish which she also liked. We did not want to overdo dinner with dessert as we had a performance to attend. Otherwise, I'd have checked that out. The last thing I'll comment on is the music selection. They were featuring "Spanish guitar" covers of pop songs, but the mix was pretty eclectic - it included Beatles, CCR, the Theme from Forrest Gump, etc. I enjoyed it quite a bit, to the point that I emailed them to ask about it. It definitely wasn't just a generic background music stream! We are planning to attend another performance in Columbus later in the Spring, and I have already made a reservation to return to Mabella's.

I was eating alone and sat at the bar and the server was respectful, attentive, and took my order quickly. The main reason this place drew me in was because of their menu emphasizing "home-made pasta." Anytime i see this in an Italian restaurant, I am going to because I've been searching for a restaurant to even come close to the homemade pasta my wife and I had in Florence, Italy. So in an effort to find that dish, I ordered the Bolognese. It wasn't exactly that true Italian bolognese that is closer to a stroganoff, but it was good. The dish has a great balance in the sauce-to-beef, and their homemade pasta was cooked perfect. I also ordered a side of their string fries with aioli. These were not as good as the main dish, they came out a little cold and lacked knock out flavor. Overall, I think this is a great spot, not just for an Italian place in Columbus, but for a true, homemade pasta experience. Every pasta dish I saw looked great and I loved the ambiance. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Columbus!
