We ordered the specials: Blackened Halibut with cotija cheese grits and lemon caper sauce, and the Chateaubriand with rosemary mashed potatoes and green peppercorn sauce. For an app, we had the seared pork belly with apple compote and apple cider glaze. For dessert a fruit-topped crème brûlée. Everything tasted wonderful. Our server, Jenn, was very friendly and attentive. Her recommendations were great! The room is cozy and romantic, but can get loud when everyone is talking and it is full.

We have never found Morton's to be consistent, in food quality or service. We have had good food and we have had not very good food. Same for the service. Food: have had room temp soup served. We've had our wait person describe a side that comes with a special only to be served a totally different side- then be told they were out of the regular side (substituted without asking what we may like to have in its place) It is a nice looking place, with outdoor seating options, but just "ok" for food and service.

Amazing food, drinks, and desserts. We had the Beef Wellington, Ribeye steak, Pomegranate Risotto, and Lamb. All phenomenal dishes! We will be back. The atmosphere was perfect and the wait staff friendly and attentive.

Food was great! The best quesadilla I've ever had. I'll be thinking about it for while. Haha. The steak was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back. Only regret is we didn't get dessert

My dad and I are visiting from San Francisco for the weekend. I stumbled upon Morten's At Old Town on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. The food was amazing and our server Shelby was great and made the experience fun and delightful. My dad and I agree that this was the best dinner we have had in Georgia so far. Complements to the awesome chefs in the back! We really enjoyed the food!

So it's always first come, first serve and everytime I've tried to come here, it's a 30 min wait. It took about 15 min for the bartender to offer us menus and give us waters/ask for a drink. The drinks were delicious though, I had the Paper Plane. The food was also surprisingly good. Even though there wasn't enough chicken on the chicken Alfredo dish, the sauce was delicious and tasted great. The burger and sweet potato fries were also good. I think if I came back; it would be for the drinks and potentially the pasta. I would be open to trying other things on the menu.

Both my lunch date and I came from out of town after seeing so many great reviews and hearing how good the food was supposed to be. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, but let's get to the food... I ordered the blackened chicken with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, there was NO FLAVOR. I even tried adding the salt and pepper from the table, and it still did not help the taste at all. My lunch date ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts, and unfortunately, their food was just as disappointing. What really surprised me was that after we finished eating, we met several people from the area who talked about how good the food was. We had also seen plenty of positive reviews before making the trip, so maybe we just caught them on an off day. I was disappointed to find out afterward that they have a Sunday brunch menu with a lot more options, including dishes like catfish and shrimp. Even a table of older ladies sitting beside us mentioned wishing they served cornbread--or any type of bread. There were no rolls, biscuits, cornbread...nothing. Personally, I think offering some of those Sunday menu options every day would make the menu much better. I was disappointed after driving over two hours to try this restaurant, but I am willing to give it another chance. However, my next visit will definitely have to be on a Sunday so I can experience more of what the menu has to offer. Everyone's experience is different, and this just happened to be ours.

And it was. I got the steak frites. It was very tender, cooked perfectly, came out in big slices topped with this seasoned butter that had a nice citrus bite that was so good. The rosemary parmesan seasoned fries, I think they were, were really tasty as well. I really enjoyed my meal. The Halloween-themed music playing softly in the background was a thoughtful seasonal touch: recognizable enough to quietly sing along, yet restrained enough that conversation never competed with the soundtrack. The space itself is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate, with the butcher counter's impressive selection of meats taking center stage. That said, as first-time visitors we stood awkwardly near the entrance for a bit before being directed to the bar. A simple hostess greeting or quick orientation would have smoothed the arrival considerably. Once seated, our bartender seemed momentarily puzzled by our presence and prioritized other parties' full orders before returning for ours. Unfortunately, the specific steaks we had our eyes on were claimed in the interim--an avoidable frustration. A clearer process for selecting from the case, plus the ability to specify thickness and a true blue-rare option, would elevate the experience. On the drinks side, the Citrus Cart Margarita lived up to its menu description: bright, balanced, and vibrantly citrus-forward, with the Tajín rim providing a welcome savory contrast. The Blue Moon arrived in a handsome goblet with a proper orange slice, well-chilled and sporting a restrained, attractive head. The Salt & Pepper Calamari was a highlight--generously portioned, golden and light-crusted, with visible seasoning and the occasional burst of fried cherry pepper that kept each bite interesting. The sherry vinegar aioli supplied exactly the creamy, tangy counterpoint the dish needed. For mains we selected our own prime ribeyes from the case. Mine arrived precisely blue-rare as requested, with even grill marks and a pure, lightly seasoned beef flavor that let the quality of the meat shine. A touch more salt and pepper would have rounded it out, but the tenderness and cook were spot-on. The accompanying roasted potatoes were competent but unremarkable--standard kitchen fare. By contrast, the Parmesan-rosemary fries that accompanied the other steak were outstanding: made to order, perfectly crisp, well-seasoned, and among the better fries I've had in some time. Overall this is a solid neighborhood spot with excellent product at the butcher counter and a relaxed, seasonal vibe. Tighten the front-of-house flow, expand the by-the-glass list a bit, and refine a couple of the sides, and it could become a regular destination.
