First time visiting Columbus and found this place out on Google with their amazing brisket waffles. Got seated really fast and our servers are really nice. They check on us now and then letting us know how long the food will take since they are short on staff and have a couple of large parties before us. We ordered their full rib in dry and the sweet potato brisket waffles. The reason why I don't give them a 5 stars is because their meat seems to be a bit too dry. The brisket on my waffle have to add a lot of maples in order to make them moisture, the good thing about the meal is the meat portion are very generous and flavorful. We stopped in to get some BBQ. We were not very hungry so we all shared two plates of the brisket. We were seated right away and our server was nice. She did not tell me there was an up-charge for a side of ranch for my fries which I probably would not have asked for since, as you can see from my small plate I ate only about 5 fries. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The bathrooms were not very clean and our table was a bit dirty. We used sanitized napkins and they were dirty after wiping our table. The food was really good which is why I gave it 4 stars. The meat was tender and very tasty. The fries were very good as well. This place could be a five star but due the above mentioned issues with cleanliness and up charge, I could not bring myself to a five star review. read more

The worst "brisket" I've ever had. I'm usually skeptical of any place that serves chopped brisket and my skepticism was spot on. It had almost no smokey flavor to it and was super bland. Our server was new, but the service we received was very lackluster. We never got refills and all the servers just stood by the computers talking. The manager did come over and set things straight. So glad I found this place while in Columbus, GA. When I can smell the smoke from the outside, I think I found the right place. Ambiance: Located in downtown Columbus was a plus with various shops and other restaurants near by. In addition, they had a small patio that you could eat outside as well. Parking is limited but there is additional parking garage located around the corner from here. They have high table tops and low tables as well. Not recommended for groups larger than 6 people. Sitting is limited. Service: They host was just okay, but our waiter was fantastic with only being on the job for 2 weeks. She was very helpful and worked very well with big groups. Food: This was the star of the show. Everything came out fresh hot and with a bunch of flavors. When you can smell the smoke from the outside, then I think I was in a treat for some good food. And it was. Overall: The only bad thing was the parking but there is a parking garage behind the restaurant. Also, the A/C vents are positioned in the wrong spots. So, if you sit near the back wall, unfortunately the air can somewhat cool your food off too fast and there are not enough low tables instead of high tables. Sadly, I would not recommend this place. The building is freezing cold to "keep the bugs out" and the food took hours to come out. Once we received the food it was not our favorite. The fries were soggy and the burger was not good. However, our waiter was very nice and continued to check up on us since our food took so long. Can't recommend. The atmosphere is nice, kind of a fun place on the main drag in Columbus, a bar in a converted garage. The food, however, was not very good. I wanted bbq ribs. They were out of them at five o'clock on a Sunday afternoon. So I got the brisket plate and my daughter had a fried shrimp basket. We started with fried pickles. They were fine, nothing special. My chopped brisket was mediocre, dry and flavorless. The accompanying Cole slaw and fried apples were good. The shrimp was so bad that we tried one piece and left the rest. It was on the printed menu, but it was an unusual preparation: with jalapeño pepper and fried with an applesauce crust. (It was called Apple Bourbon Shrimp.) Very weird. The "crust" was slimy and off-tasting. Looked good, tasted bad. We told the waitress, who was friendly but not a very good server. She said she was sorry, but didn't do anything about it. We came here after a eventful time rafting. There were eleven of us and we were seated almost immediately. Our server came, greeted us and took our drink orders almost immediately. We placed a few orders for appetizers and conversed while waiting for it to come out. Here's when the concerns start taking place. Only half of our appetizers came out, and the other half wasn't brought out for 30 additional minutes for fried pickles. There was a large group next to us (about 30 people) and our server was the only one assisting that table. We sat down at 8:15 and our official order wasn't placed until 9:45 when the establishments closed at 10pm. I didn't understand one server being seated with two large parties without assistance. I didn't understand closing out the 30 persons tab before taking our order. I got up twice to ask another server for assistance, still no avail! It wasn't until the second time that someone came over to take our tables order. While the food was good, it was luke warm and my brisket had a mix of pork and chicken. I don't eat chicken and I am allergic to pork. I noticed a small reaction, therefore I stopped eating. Overall under different circumstances this could have easily been a 5/5 experience. Visited Columbus for the day and tried this place out. It's pretty spacious and one side of the restaurant can open (like sliding garage doors) for outdoor seating if you want. Seating was pretty quick for a party of 6 during Saturday lunch hour. Tried the house margarita and it was great! More on the sweeter side and the glass was bigger than I expected. Food was very good, but we noticed it wasn't very hot, more so just a barely warm. It didn't bother us too much and we still enjoyed the food. The wait did take a while before our food finally came out to us, so I would say come if you have time to spare! read more

Not overly personable, and moderately attentive, also a non-drinker which was interesting to some of the folks in my party. We only came for drinks. My brother in law had a peach cobbler bourbon which was just OK for him. My husband didn't comment on his drink and my sister enjoyed hers. Pay best friend and I came in town for our nephews military graduation. We stayed downtown Colombia, on broadway. Our hotel was closed to this place so we wanted to check it out. We were not in the mood eating but it was thirsty Thursday so we tried their spicy mangorita... it was okay but didn't really quench the thirst we were longing for! The lighting was nice and the staffs were friendly. Not sure if they were expecting many customers but it seemed that there were many staffing then the customers. Sauces were the best! From the maple bacon bourbon sauce for the wontons to the brown gravy for the melt, everything melded perfectly! Topped off with the drink options we would definately come back for the food. The chicken and salmon were cooked so they were still nice and moist. The only 2 negatives, ocra was very tasty, portion to small.
