Came into town on business. The moment I saw there was a Jason's Deli, I knew where dinner would be every night...or so I thought. Walked in around 5:30. Looked to be about six tables occupied with guests. Walked up to register. No one there. However, one gentleman, while making food spoke and said it would be just a moment. Then some lady comes up from behind and asks what I need. I ordered the salad bar as I always do. She gives me the amount, I pay, she hands me the change and nothing else. No counting back my change from the hundred dollar bill, no thank you, nothing. Walk to the end. Guy asks what I need. I said I ordered the salad bar. Had the ticket in hand. He puts the plates on tray and hands them to me. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. Salad bar was excellent. I will say that. Jason's is one of my favorite places because salad is my favorite food. While I sat and ate, I looked around. Most of the tables were dirty, floors were dirty, tables and chairs in disarray and yet, no more than six tables in there. The employees, with the exception of the above mentioned I spoke of look like a scene from the Walking Dead. Should Frank Darabont ever need to cast again, I would suggest starting in Columbus, GA at Jason's Deli. Complete misery on their faces. No greetings, no smiles, no communication, nothing. I am giving it three stars only because the salad bar was great but doubtful I'll be back while I'm here. Have a great day!! read more

The food here is incredible, and the service was amazing. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive to everyone. While I was here I got the Muffeletta to take home for dinner, and the salad bar for lunch. In my time working at restaurants and eating at them, I have never seen a salad bar so beautiful and well kept, and I mean that. It was clean, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, and it was well stocked and delicious. The muffeleta was warm, and tasted amazing, (although I have noticed that in recent years that upper management seems to have reduced the amount of filling in them). Always reliable and dependable for good food. Went there on 11/2/24 for lunch. Had the 1/4 Muffaletta and a cup of Seafood gumbo and my wife had the avocado chicken Panini. Portions are large and difficult to eat the entire meal so we brought some portions home. The food was excellent, service was quick, and the staff very friendly. As a bonus, Jason's provides free ice cream/Custard in vanilla,chocolate, or swirl to their patrons. Highly recommend and give Jason's a deserved 5 Star rating read more

The lady behind the counter was so kind. This was my first time in this particular location as I am just visiting the area. I wasn't quite certain where to order at and when I asked the lady behind the counter she was like oh you order right here. I put in my order for a Ruben sandwich and I was pretty excited about it because I haven't had one in a very long time. Once my order came out the lady asked me what type of chips I would like and I told her jalapeño. She also stated that she wanted to make sure she put a pickle in my bag I've been told her I love pickles, she goes well then you get two. I thought that was super kind of her and I told her thank you. The service was fast and this location seems to be very clean I kind of wish I had just decided to stay here and eat but I was running low on time so to go it was. My sandwich tasted very fresh and put together very well I only could eat half and that's probably what I should've ordered with a half but not sure if they offer that. California Club, sorely prepared with very minimal turkey YES!!! it should be sliced turkey however I'm still trying to find the rest of it. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes this is what I get and to add insult to injury there were no tortilla chips for my red pepper hummus or the dip for my fruit. I'm really trying to help the hospitality industry however JD you guys have to do better because with simple unforced mistakes like this, people won't spend their disposable income eating at your deli. read more

Food was just decent at best. Service was good for the most part, but the restaurant was SUPER dirty. We got the and got seated and took the staff around 15 minutes after with ordered to pick up the dirty dishes on the table beside us. If you are a Jason's Deli fan I would not recommend this location to you. You are better off finding somewhere else to eat. PLEASE save your money. read more

The employees were somewhat impatient with my brother who was ordering. Even with this impatience, and apparent eagerness to get us along the way, we waited 45 minutes for a cold grilled cheese. There are many more suitable options for you and your family in Columbus. The decor seemed somewhat dated, and not in a good way. I am not going again. The best part was the ice cream. read more

One of the best Ruebens in town. Really enjoy the French onion soup as well! Heard there's been changes since we have last been there so with my favorite thing being the salad bar, if it's no longer available, I would have to drop a star tho I understand all the concern re guidelines for safety etc. I think we have gone overboard on this EVERYWHERE! I came here on Saturday after walking around Andersonville. This Jason's was like every other one that I've been at. I did not have to wait in line for very long before I was able to order. The cashier was very helpful and happy or at least that is how it seemed. I asked her for advice between having a cup of Chili or Tomato Basil soup. She recommended the Tomato Basil soup and it was so delicious. If I could find that soup at home, I'm not sure I would buy any other. I also ordered the giant potato with Mexican chicken and cheese on it (it's got a real name but I can't remember it). It was really good and it definitely hit the spot. I've had it before and I'm not sure it's been any better. All of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and courteous. The tables that were not occupied were kept clean. My food came out hot and the right temperature. I did not feel rush in my meal even though it was just me. The severs and buspeople did not seem to be hanging over my shoulder. The service is great but the food is awful, I got a chicken chipotle avocado panini while my partner got an Alfredo pasta. The sauce on the Alfredo tasted like straight cream had no flavor at all, the chicken was okay and had some seasoning then my panini tasted like red onion and cheese, I could not taste the avocado or the chicken. Since my guy was frustrated and hungry he went and got a muffuletta but the description doesn't say it comes with olives he wasn't aware of this since it wasn't on the menu description. Good food and good prices. Lots of healthier choices and the salad bar is amazing. We come here regularly. I really like the chicken salad sandwich, the chicken panini, and the zucchini grillini sandwich. My favorite soup is the vegetarian vegetable. The service is usually great too and although it is often crowded, we've never had to wait for a table. They also have free soft serve ice cream that is delicious. read more

I waited in list at the window for over 15 minutes total. Once I paid for my food and received my drink, I was left at the window with no information about my order for 6 minutes. I knocked on the window and asked how long it would be and once again was told nothing and waited another 9 minutes before my order was given to me. I complained to the manager only to find my order when I got to work was horrible. I was given what looks to be a kid size order for an adult order purchase. The food additionally was completely unappealing and unappetizing (picture provided below). This experience as truly disheartening for me. I look forward to hearing from you soon. read more

Just hanging out with my friends having dinner.... Just one small problem at Jason's Deli they did not have the proper Lids to fit the drink cups.. I wish the person taking the order would have told me and other customers this before we purchased our drinks.... I could have upgraded my drink to the big cup where they have the Dome lid to fit.... I only say this because I am walking that shopping area and was going to take my drink with me as I walk the shopping mall... the temperature was over 90 and the sweet tea was great as always at Jason's Deli... but very unsatisfying to know that they did not tell us a head of time that there were no lids for our drink cups.... other than that my pastrami sandwich on wheat was awesome!! it really makes me miss home which is Los Angeles California from me... one of my favorite sandwich shops in Los Angeles California is Felipe's that place rocks!! if you're ever in LA stop by Felipe's famous sandwich shop... but I thank you Jason's Deli for always being a great sandwich shop in Columbus Georgia... awesome job just please tell people ahead of time before they purchase items that you don't have an item to go along with the item.... I'm so anti-buffet, but for this place and another spot locally I make the exception. I always catch the self serve salad bar. Everything is always fresh and if something is looking low... I've never had an issue with asking for someone to refresh and refill and them being "jimmy on it." My suggestion though is if you are to get a soup ask for a lil extra heat to be applied by the time you load up on your salad bowl and sit down the soup is temperature perfect! My experience with their customer service has been great! Everyone is most friendly. read more

This was nearly the most disappointing food choice I've ever made. It was my last night in Columbus, and I was looking for something quick but good to bring back to my hotel room. There are plenty of places around this area, but I decided on Jason's Deli because it looked convenient. I also heard that they had good sweet potatoes there and I was in the mood for something like that. I went there and I decided I would get one of their esteemed sweet potatoes, and maybe get a buffet salad to go. After I waited in a very long line, which wasn't long because there was a lot of people in front of me - the service just seemed slow for no reason. When I finally got there, they seemed confused about my order. They looked at each other and kept going back-and-forth asking "do we even have sweet potatoes?" That did not seem like a good thing so I decided to nix my sweet potato idea, i.e. the whole reason why I went there in the first place - and just go for the buffet salad and a half sandwich. I chose a chicken Panini and asked them to add avocado. Altogether, with my water bottle, it was about $12. It looked like there are a lot of people around the salad buffet which was a sign that it was good, or so I thought. They gave me a box to put my salad in and said that my sandwich would be ready shortly on the other side of the restaurant. I was very disappointed with the look of the salad bar, and I didn't even fill up a third of the box they gave me. I had to wait another 10 minutes for my sandwich, it seemed very confused and slow back there. Of course the avocado never ended up on my sandwich although I paid for it. When I got home, the sandwich was OK, mostly bread - and the salad did not live up to any salad lovers standards. Overall, for $12 - my water was probably the best purchase. There is parking in the lot, but I wouldn't go if it is busy, because it was extremely slow. I saw people filling up large amounts of their buffets, so I'm assuming that people go here so they can load up for the next few days, but I wouldn't recommend it. read more

I used to eat at Jason's Deli, several years ago but stopped going. I ordered the salad with grilled chicken twice and got violently ill both times. Forget the fact that the chicken tasted like rubber, because it had worse issues. The last time I was there, I ordered the salad without chicken, a b s when I gad finished, I went into the ladies room. While I was there, a woman who spoke very little English obviously had a bowel movement in one if the stalks. When she was finished, she left without washing her hands. She then went right back to work on the meat prep line, where she slipped on a used pair of gloves that were laying on the counter. They're really lucky no one died of disentary because of her behavior. If a manager is going to hire foreigners.and people with.lityle experience in food service, they need to work tirelessly with these people to get them to understand the importance of infection control procedures in food service. This has been the worst experience at a Jason's deli ever. It took more than 10 minutes for my food to be prepared, which is not unusual. But it was just a cup of premade soup and a half sandwich. I watched as others who ordered after me walk away with their food, more complicated orders. All the while my soup sat behind the counter staring back at me getting cold. It was then even served cold and when management was informed of my dissatisfaction, he pushed it in the microwave along with some other food. "It's hot now", he said as the overflowing bubbling mess spilled over. I brought my sandwich back and a nice employee asked what was wrong, I told him it just wasn't right and I needed a refund. He alerted another manager Jeff/John, who handed me receipts, saying it had been put back on my card. No apology or concern for what had even happened in his restaurant. As my sister finished her salad, he came over to the table trying to give me someone else's food. This was just a few minutes later, not even phased that he had just given me a refund! This is when I asked for his name, he gave it without hesitation, but you would think he would inquire as to why or how could he help. The green shirted employees have always been great, but management obviously needs to rewatch the training videos. read more

Ordered Jason's deli for pickup due to the corona virus, I ordered a sandwich and the Mac and cheese. Coming from a restaurant I assumed the Mac and cheese was going to be good. It was the first meal I have ordered out for since corona. The Mac and cheese was craft Mac and cheese. Highly disappointed. I could have made this at home. Along with that, a lot of the menu items are not offered on the app. The sandwich was okay, nothing to write home about. Can't wait till all of this is over so I can go in person again and get better quality. Disappointed is how I feel. Sad I spent my money on this. read more

It's been about 7 years since I've been to this spot. I was so impressed by the salad bar. It was amazing. So glad I decided to try this again. The establishment has no control over this, however the only reason I gave them 3 stars is because the other patrons who were already seated uncomfortably stared at my mother and I as we were finding a spot to sit. No welcoming smiles at all here by the other patrons. It was as if they had marked the territory and we was imposing. I will be visiting this spot in the near future. I love, love, love Jason's Deli! Every time we come the food is perfect, the portions are large and the people are friendly. One of my favorite times of the year is when they have their beef stew on the menu. It's loaded with carrots, potatoes, and beef. I could easily eat 2 bowls all by myself!
