Love this place! I have been eating here, throughout the tenure of my durations to Columbus, for the last few years! Newks serves amazing and high quality foods. I love their "Pair Combo," which I almost always get with Pizza (Sausage and Pepperoni) and Cup of Soup (Lobster Bisque). The sandwiches (I personally love "The Italian"), Pizza, and Soups here are amazing. Definitely better than other restaurant-equivalents (Panera Bread / Corner Bakery/ etc).) in my opinion. The ambiance here is peaceful, casual, and is always suited for any meal of the day. The service here has always been friendly, and I always leave happier than ai came. We recently stopped in for lunch -just after they had opened .We waited a good bit for the order to be served . We noticed they were working on a HUGE take out order. Once we got our order the manager came around and mentioned they were aware we had waited a time for our food to arrive. He offered us free desert for the longer than normal wait. This showed us they care about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our food was great the desert was a Great bonus.. We will share our experience with others and return soon. Food was pretty good. Just wish there was more chicken salad on the sandwich for the price we paid. Service was good. The restaurant had an 80 health score. So probably need to improve on that. Ambience was fine, restaurant was clean. Breadsticks need to either shrink packages or put more in the breadstick packages. Prices are still too high. Probably won't go back anytime soon. read more

Food was good cashier messed up order rang my wife up for a bowl of soup even though we said a cup and the bread on the half sandwich was supposed to be wheat and they gave her regular bread. I wanted to give this place more stars but it just didn't make it. I ordered the 1/2 pimento cheese and the Cesar salad while my husband had a Turkey sandwich with a house salad. I have heard wonderful things about Newks in Albany, Ga where my daughter goes to college so when I found they were opening one in Columbus I was excited. Unfortunately I was highly unimpressed by the very first meal which was placed online and everything was correct on the receipt but our actual food, not so much. 1. $1.10 for avocado that wasn't even ripe, it was spongy and creepy looking. I'm sure they chose the smallest 2 half slices they could find. (yellow/green flesh with brown lines= NOT RIPE) 2. Ordered a Club sandwich- No lettuce or tomato on it(I even asked for extra) I guess extra means none by which was probably a good thing I guess because the simply salad I ordered for my side had 3 rotten/soft grape tomatoes in it. 3. The Tippah caviar was flavorless had to add seasoning. 4. Mac & cheese was the worst version of a box brand sold in a restaurant that there could possibly be imagined. 5. The steak sandwich was bland and dry I asked for extra cheese and caramelized onions (I guess you already know what happened?) 6. Price does not reflect portion size or quality of ingredients used. In all I will not be back for a second time. I usually am safe in saying that after about a year is when a new restaurant goes down in customer service and food quality after they've built up a decent set of followers but I must say NEWKS is already headed down a slippery slope and their just opening. I would give a word of advice. It is 2018 consumers are tired of spending hard earned money to give away to establishments that think you want to waste anymore time or money to have to come back to either get a refund, ordered corrected or to replace it at a later date. We want it RIGHT the first time just like we have to pay RIGHT at that moment. We don't get a do over and neither should you. The staff should be more aware and conscious that if they wouldn't eat it then don't serve it to a customer. Pay attention to detail and know the difference between Extra and None. I gave it two stars because I didn't want to seem cruel but you all are definitely 1 star to be new eatery. read more

Normally have nothing bad to say about Newks but just left because of the rude way the manager treated a customer in front of us. Disappointing. A kitchen being backed up and short staffed is no excuse for poor treatment. The woman simply wanted her refund due to her order being seriously delayed. Stay away. We placed a large delivery order and it was a hot mess! When we received the order, 2 pizzas were wrong, multiple items missing and rude employees. I ordered a Margherita pizza, which came as a plain cheese pizza that was made crappy. We went back to the restaurant to have the pizzas corrected and pick up the missing items and the employee was extremely rude. He threw the pizza down on the counter and said that the Margherita pizza was right. Katie, the "manager" wouldn't come out to address the issue. I'm not sure if Katie has taught her employees how to make pizza but I believe she should if they are going to have pizza on their menu. The staff was very inattentive and seemed more interested in high school banter rather than serving their guests. The menu and set up of the restaurant was a bit confusing and unorganized. I ordered the veggie pizza and I must say it was pretty good. This was my fist time having a pizza with all veggies, and i must say it did not disappoint. It had feta cheese which I thought was a bit overwhelming, but it's healthy, and the crust was spot on. The restaurant was very clean and pleasant, and the girl that took my order was very nice, she almost tempted me into ordering that caramel cake that's strategically placed right beside the cash register.
