Beautiful atmosphere and amazing pizza for gluten free celiac disease. I especially enjoyed the artwork and decor.

Good restaurant and nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend the pizza.

Sad. A mile from our hotel and a nice looking website. Apparently the corporate vegan menu doesn't extend all the way to Columbus. I was able to order a pizza with nondairy cheese, green peppers and Italian sausage. The green peppers were raw and the crust was only partially cooked and doughy. Not much luck with the beer list I was handed either. My third choice was available but not much to my liking. The server should have pointed me to the updated tap list on the screen to my left. Instead I felt rushed and ordered something I wasn't sure about. Second time here as we pass through Columbus yearly. Likely to be the last. read more

I love the vibe and idea of Mellow Mushroom. They have a super cool metal statue outside of the restaurant and have great art inside. The bathroom also smelled nice and was very clean. The servers were kind and attentive. The only reason I am rating this restaurant a 1 is that I hate their pizza. Not just this specific place, all of Mellow Mushroom. I have tried a couple of these down in Florida before, and they were all awful. I tried it again in Columbus, and it was also awful. Their pizza tastes like a very greasy, thin version of a Chuck E. Cheese Pizza. And I am saying that as someone who genuinely likes that type of pizza. It really just has no flavor, and it is all grease. I do not understand why people return here. read more

Bingo on Wednesdays is fun. We tried the seasonal Greek feta rollz which were good. We also ordered the supreme pizza which was yummy as well. Unfortunately our service was not the best. We may come back for bingo, but not for specifically for the restaurant itself. read more

Went on Friday night. Not busy when we got there so seated right away. Service was good. Our waiter Andy did his best. We always got one in the family that you can't please no matter what so you can imagine that. The cheese bread and spinach and artichoke dip was great. I got pizza that was regular crust so I regret not getting thin crust and of course my family member was angry about everything. It did get pretty packed while sitting and waiting for the food. Friendly atmosphere. I had Buffalo chicken half with crazy karma read more

I have loved Mellow Mushroom in other cities. We will not be going back to this one. The place looked a bit unclean. The atmosphere was terribly noisy. Our waitress was ok but the rest of the staff was rude and careless. read more

Went to this pizza restaurant for the first time today. I wanted to order one medium pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, and black olives just a basic pizza to go. The cashier told me the total would be $31 and change. I canceled the order and left. Seems to me the cashier was trying to take advantage of a first time customer. I would never recommend Mellow Mushroom on veterans blvd. To anyone. read more

My husband and I loved the mellow mushroom in Birmingham so we decided to go to this one and it was really night and day differences. We shared a pizza and one of the slices my husband ate, he almost broke his tooth on what we couldn't make out other than a rock? Like a small rock? The pizza didn't have the same quality or taste and the place was much more outdated which wasn't a big deal, just something I noticed. We are both vegan so we got a vegan pizza and she offered to give us marinara and there were little bits of cheddar cheese in it? I know there is other food there that isn't vegan and accidents happen, but as you can see into the kitchen, we saw one of the workers eat something with his gloves on, touch his hair and glasses then got back to making the pizzas with the same gloves on. Will never come back here again ): read more

Free fake nails in your food at Mellow Mushroom!! I am not one to post things like this but I was dining with a friend tonight and as she was packing up her leftover pizza, she noticed a purple press-on nail underneath one of the slices (circled in red). We politely asked to speak with a manager. Manager Katie rudely came near the table - not at the table - to say that no one in "her kitchen" has fake nails. She insinuated that we made this disgusting ordeal up instead of making the situation right, which caught the attention of a nearby table. In the end, they did remake the pizza but charged for it and offered no apology for the horrible experience. We can cross this place off. read more

We ate here after a long day of no food. Our waitress was amazing and the food was just as good. This is not your typical pizza restaurant. We found a large pizza served 3-4 and both of them were excellent. I highly recommend this place if you want a non traditional pizza and a fun environment. Give it a try. read more

Today was my son's birthday, so my wife and I decided to take him to mellow mushroom for some pizza. We entered the restaurant and was seated immediately. This establishment smelled like a dirty bathroom as if someone had just mopped the floor with dirty mop water. The waitress was very nice, as she took our order. We waited 30 minutes for our food, but it wasn't the wait that bothered me it was the smell. My wife had to wait in the car because of it, and I started to get nauseous. Finally, our food arrived and, for the most part, looked delicious. My son devoured it, but I was having trouble eating because of the smell of the restaurant. In the end, I decided to pack up the food to go because I could not take the awful smell anymore. P.S. please fix this ASAP! read more

This evening I tried Mellow Mushroom for dinner. I got their house special pizza with the added customization of thin crust and crispy crust. House Special Pizza: 3/5 Based on my limit, yet broad, experience of travels, it is always hard to find a good pizza wherever you go. This place only reinforced my deduction. The pizza was okay. Not great and not bad. First off, I could tell the pizza wasn't fresh out the oven. Even though I waited for my pizza for 30mins, it came out slightly hotter than lukewarm. Not sure how that happened be it that they told me my pizza was still being made when I got there. However, be it that I ordered takeout, I'll give them the benefit of the out in excusing why the pizza wasn't piping hot when I got it. Moving on, the cheese stretch was mediocre. The pizza had no undercarriage. The thin crust was the thickness of a normal crust. Either their normal crust is absurdly thick or they just gave me the wrong crust. The crust also had no crunch to it even though I asked for it crispy. Flavor was good but overall experience was lacking. Overall grade: 3/5 Nothing special about this place so I don't really have anything else to say. If you're having a pizza craving, this place will do. If you're looking for a good slice of pizza, I'd look for other places before coming here. read more

Save some time & go somewhere else. It was our 1st time coming to this place. We wanted to try it ourselves & it was terrible. To begin with, we walked in with only 1 family in 1 table, it was empty. As soon as we went in they sat us down and took our order. We saw a table of 15 arrived 20 min later & we were just waiting on our food. Tell me why it took 45 minutes (after the party of 15 to get their food for US THAT WE WERE THERE WAY BEFORE) get out food? Who ever is cooking back there obviously did not go based on the orders that were in first. The pizza was not even cut properly. It was lacking more flavor. Part of the chicken was cold. Def will not be going back & regret paying over $50 for bad service and bad food. read more

Mellow mushroom is currently our go to pizza joint. The ambiance is good and customer service is great. We usually go between 11:00-2:30. The great white is my favorite, but we have also tried the holy shiitake, buffalo chicken, and a few others. I'm giving it four out of five stars just for consistency. The past two times our great white has tasted like it was missing something or lacked flavor. I couldn't quite figure out what it was. read more

I ordered a pizza from them a couple of weeks ago. I ordered through a delivery service. I love their Holy Shitake so I ordered one small. The pizza was burnt, no chives or garlic aioli. I tried to eat it but is was badly over cooked, so I just threw it away. read more

Mellow Mushroom provides such a great and consistent hometown pizza hangout experience for me, friends and family. The food is great. Several of the employees we known on a first name basis as they have chosen to work there for years, which speaks highly of the establishment. The staff is always nice, especially the bartender Kennedy. For some reason for the last several months every time I get food from there, it's not as hot as it should be. I got the meatball appetizer and by the time I got to the second meatball it was just above room temperature and the pizzas get cold before I can ever finish them and I always order small pizzas. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but I would much rather get my food hot. read more

Finally decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. Ordered a take out due to COVID-19 restrictions. Everything was hot and ready by the time we got there to pick it up. The pretzel bites are more like bread bites rather than "pretzel" (if that makes sense), but they're delicious either way. The beer cheese was a little too stout for me though. We had two orders of pretzel bites, a meat calzone (can't think of the official name), a large pepperoni and olive pizza and a large half and half with holy shiitake and pacific rim. Although everything was delicious, my absolute favorite was the pacific rim. Would definitely go back just for another pacific rim pie. Another plus for me is that the leftovers were amazing cold too. read more

We have been to a couple mello mushrooms and they always have good food. I did try the mushroom soup for the first time and it really was delicious. The pizza was good too but there was too much crust with not enough cheese this time on the buffalo chicken. It still tasted great just needed some more sauce. Otherwise, the service was good and the place was clean. No complaints here. read more

Wait time was aggravating! Food was very good. The amount of the tots was literally 11 tots on each plate. Ordered 3 burgers that looked like my kid made them but shockingly was very good quality meat. Worth the price but make sure you have time to wait. I like the old manager that was supportive of scouting better than the new one that isn't, but the food is still good and I like that the family can watch movies while we eat instead of just sports games. Absolutely unique. After movie dinner. Pizza was delicious and quick. Waiter was fantastic. My salad was wrong but they fixed it right away. Thin pepperoni and we opted for medium. Sorry to say but we used to go to Mellow Mushroom and enjoyed it, but Friday my wife and I ordered takeout pizza and calzone that was not good at all. The pizza had very little toppings, a large amount of crust and no taste at all. The calzone was also lacking on the cheese and sauce and no taste at all. For $ 38+ this could have been alot better.
