Nancy's pizzeria Never in my lifetime did I expect to give a pizza place an undisputed 4 star rating, yet here I am wondering if I should round it up to a 5. To preface this review, I've had many a slices of pizza from all over the country (New York, Chicago, New Jersey and Connecticut to name a few). I've eaten at places where the wait is an hour long due to their reputation. I've grab pizza from one pizzeria and subsequently grab pizza from their competitors down the street for a side by side comparison (Frank Pepe's and Sally's Apizza). The scope of reach for these taste buds don't stop there. Italy has blessed me with fine dining of their finest 'za. So call my tongue promiscuous when it comes to cheese slapped on a crust, I know my pizza. That being said, the south is known for many things (good and bad) with pizza being in the latter. Yet today, today, I stumbled upon a potential shift in the tradition of southern states' notorious letdown in pizza quality. Nancy's gets a solid 4.4 stars from me putting them in competition with some sit down restaurants I've attended. Not only that, I drove nearly 40 mins back home, blowing red lights and hitting speeds upwards of 85 mph so that the "goods" would still be warm. To my surprise not only was it warm, it was hot to the touch. Now does the credit go to the driver or the stores expert packaging this remains a mystery. Now, this pizza for all the good does have one trade-off that can't go without being noticed: price. Save some money in the piggy bank for this one cause it was nearly 30 smackaroos. Is that high in absolute terms, yes. But when you look at relative terms considering the style of pizza deep dish, this is standard. All in all, I shall return. read more

I've had the pizza and Italian beef. Let's start with the pizza, I'm from Chicago so I'm very familiar with the deep dish pizza, especially Nancy Pizza, Italian Fiesta, and Giordano's. The Nancy's here tastes like the one in Chicago which is delish and reminds me of home. The service is ok but not great because when I asked the girl at the restaurant if everything I ordered was in the bag? She replied yes, I checked my bag and the Au Jus was missing and I ordered sweet peppers, which I paid extra for, was missing. However, the sandwich was good and had plenty of meat. The ambiance, it's a takeout restaurant, no seating available. In my opinion Nancy's is the best pizza I've had in Columbus. read more

Best pizza I've had in this town. Hands down. If you are looking for legitimate Chicago style food then this is your place! And to all of the reviewers that don't seem to know what that is, just give it a try. It's different than the pizza you are used to and that can be a good thing! We ordered on Uber eats and everything was packaged perfectly = great service to me! They nailed the toppings, cheese, sauce, and crust ratios to remind me of a real deep dish pizza. Best one I've had outside of Chicago. We got the Uncle Tony's and just wow. Can't wait to try more things here! read more

So tasty! It's takeout only so plan for that. It was a long drive home with a delicious smelling pizza in the car!! Meatballs were good sized and well sauced, and the pizza was good. Had a coupon so we picked it up after some shopping in the area. I'd like to try a stuffed crust next time. We decided to try Nancy's Pizza today! Let me say it did not disappoint! We got the medium sausage and pepperoni pizza and it was enough . We both love Chicago style pizza and weren't impressed by others in town but Nancy's was great! My favorite was the meatballs! His favorite was the fettuccine Alfredo. I wasn't able to try everything because I was stuffed. But he said everything was great. We will definitely be back! read more

Great smells when you walk in. Was headed next door for a pedicure and popped in for a menu. Decided to order online while getting pampered. Got my order number and time for pick-up. Unfortunately, when I arrived after my pick-up time, it was not ready. After asking how much longer, the counter help inquired for me and was told about 10 more minutes. Meanwhile another customer picked up her order and I asked what time she had ordered. Her answer she walked in to order @ 5:45 a good 10 min after my online order was confirmed. I asked about the delay and was told that online orders sometimes are not seen if the kitchen is busy. So, call or walk in to order- still waiting and I ordered an hour ago. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! The pizza was very bad. For one, the dough was not at ALL cooked. It looked kinda cooked, but it was not. The cheese was very rubbery and hard to chew, and the pizza was like eating a tire off an old gross truck. It's like it's been in a freezer since 1856. Where the crust is "cooked" it's like eating straight up cardboard. May as well eat the box. My brother ate a whole slice, and he said he hope he doesn't get food poisoning from the THING. I'd rather go eat from a trash can then lay my eyes on the "pizzas" that are made there. Nancy's pizzeria sounds similar to nasty pizzeria, but nobody took the hint. if someone said "hey you want a pizza from here for free?" I'd say no go torture someone else from this place, but jail food seems more appealing to me. Pizza from my hometowns school is better then this gross substabce they called "pizza." read more

I'm a native of Chicago ( south side) and Nancy's pizza is the closest thing I've had that actually tasted like a Chicago pizza.

I've tried it twice. If you like a pizza with a whole tub of cheese this place is definitely for you. I mean the amount of cheese left over was nuts. We did the thin first and deep on the second visit and were underwhelmed. The price was very expensive. The sauce was pretty good but we won't be back. read more

True deep dish Chicago pizza with layers of cheese and toppings, ( the uncle Tony ) not just a thick crust wannabe. If this Is what you're looking for it's really good. We're two old people ( can't eat like I use to ) so we'll be able to eat on this thing for a couple of days. I'm from the Chicago South suburbs so I know all about the square cut thin crust, deep dish, and stuffed pizzas. Since moving to Georgia, in 2017, I can honestly say this is the first time we've ordered pizza and been wow'd. It was amazing! We can't wait until the Italian Beef sandwiches are ready to order off the menu. I do have high expectations considering I've been spoiled with Portillos and Al's beef sandwiches but I'll take what I can get as long as there's mozzarella and giardiniera involved too. Pizza was good, this is not a sit down restaurant, it's a grab and go. Order ahead, takes about 20 minutes.

I would give it a 5 star but it lacks sitting space and ambiance because it's take out. However the food ..pizza was awesome the Chicago deep dish was on point. Did Taste like my favorite pizza place in Chicago. The service was great too, the gentleman was very helpful and explain the menu to me. The best deep dish south of Chicago I was thoroughly pleased and had a wonderful experience

So the pizza here is very good. True to Chicago style pizza...although you would never know it by the name. We just lucked out and fell into it by accident so we were delighted to realize there was authentic Chi-town pizza right here in Columbus. My only fear is that it won't last long. The food is great but the prices are very high. A medium pizza with a few toppings was nearly $30. We don't mind paying for great food, but this demographic is more Little Caesar's or Domino's budget. Especially if you have a family to feed. If this is a franchise, they should have done a better market analysis. I give this place 6 months tops with prices at the current rate. Unfortunate, because we love it...trying not to get attached. read more
