Came into town on business. The moment I saw there was a Jason's Deli, I knew where dinner would be…read moreevery night...or so I thought. Walked in around 5:30. Looked to be about six tables occupied with guests. Walked up to register. No one there. However, one gentleman, while making food spoke and said it would be just a moment. Then some lady comes up from behind and asks what I need. I ordered the salad bar as I always do. She gives me the amount, I pay, she hands me the change and nothing else. No counting back my change from the hundred dollar bill, no thank you, nothing. Walk to the end. Guy asks what I need. I said I ordered the salad bar. Had the ticket in hand. He puts the plates on tray and hands them to me. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. Salad bar was excellent. I will say that. Jason's is one of my favorite places because salad is my favorite food. While I sat and ate, I looked around. Most of the tables were dirty, floors were dirty, tables and chairs in disarray and yet, no more than six tables in there. The employees, with the exception of the above mentioned I spoke of look like a scene from the Walking Dead. Should Frank Darabont ever need to cast again, I would suggest starting in Columbus, GA at Jason's Deli. Complete misery on their faces. No greetings, no smiles, no communication, nothing. I am giving it three stars only because the salad bar was great but doubtful I'll be back while I'm here. Have a great day!!

I picked up a bone in quarter ham today and a roasted turkey breast…read more When unwrapping the ham I saw it was burnt on top . I had never received one like this in the many years of ordering from the Columbus Ga store. I returned to the store and told them about it, but was told this is normal which of course is completely untrue and unacceptable. Customer service is non existent there. They lost a customer because I will not return. Look at the ham before you pay for it.!!!! Training their employees to be friendly wouldn't be a bad idea either. My one star rating keeps changing to 2 stars Johanna Columbus

The morning of 12/23/25 I received a confirmation e-mail to pick it up. I drove 30 minutes in heavy holiday traffic to get there. When I got to the counter I presented my receipt. Another employee approached the counter and asked the clerk if she should pick up something from the back for me. He said, "Prime Rib", and they both laughed. He casually told me they had no prime rib left. I told him I ordered it 3 weeks ago. What happened to it? He shrugged and said he didn't know. He then said they only ordered 32 of them. I said one of those was reserved for me. What happened to it? He ended up refunding me the amount. I called Customer Service 3 times to speak with a manager when I got home. No one answered the phone. I called the corporate headquarters in Alpharetta. I told the representative what happened. She said the district manager would be calling me "soon" and to be sure to check my phone. It's January 19, 2026 now and no call. I also filed a written complaint with them, and no response. I had to scramble to find an entree to feed 7 people that night. Extremely poor service. Will never do business with them again.

I visited Midland Commons with my sister and our two young boys (ages 2 and 5) yesterday so they…read morecould safely play in the grass area. We grabbed food from Tommy G's and intentionally chose a table in the center area, under the tent, so we could actively watch them as they ran back and forth to eat. Almost an hour after sitting down, a manager from BMerrells (Sylvia) approached us and told us the table "belonged" to their restaurant and that we needed to move. That would have been easier to respect if there were any signage or indication of reserved seating, but there wasn't. Not only that, we were not near their entrance. We were in the middle of a space literally called "Commons." As parents of small children, moving further away from the grass area wasn't just inconvenient. It was an unrealistic risk to our children's safety. When my sister asked for a menu, Sylvia said yes, but instead of returning herself, she went inside and sent a server out. That alone set the tone. We went ahead and ordered the drink of the month and chicken tenders. The wait was long enough that I considered canceling the order entirely, and when the food finally arrived, it did not justify the delay. The tenders looked and tasted like something straight out of the frozen aisle. What's most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been handled differently. A simple, respectful explanation or even visible signage would have gone a long way. Instead, the approach felt dismissive and unnecessarily territorial over a shared public space. If tables are exclusive to BMerrells, that needs to be clearly communicated. Otherwise, don't create tension in a family-friendly environment where people are simply trying to enjoy the space, especially when children are involved. This was my first experience with BMerrells, and it will absolutely be my last. I'll also be following up with property management, because there's a way to handle situations like this and this wasn't it.
