Was passing through on our way to PCB and read the reviews for this place and decided to stop. So glad we did as the food and service was great, and it smelled clean! when we walked in. Large choices on the menu and we enjoyed the hash browns and eggs, and my husband got eggs and salmon patties. I would eat there again. read more

We are from Texas just visiting our soldier and we will definitely be back. This little home grown diner was wonderful. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. The coffee was great, I was able to drink it black (my personal preference). The food was delicious, fluffy eggs, homemade griddle toasted biscuits and huge pancakes. Cafe 431 is a hidden gem well worth finding. When you walk in you can seat yourself and the service is impeccable. We went in for breakfast and was served quite expeditiously. The ambience reminds me of an old fashioned diner with down home charm. The food is very good with biscuits to die for. Will I be back? I went back 3 days later and plan to go back again. Always, ALWAYS amazing!!! Stopped in for a late breakfast today. The place was busy, but I found a seat at the countertop bar. Quick, prompt service as usual, and the Meatlovers Omelet was wonderful! The home fries were perfect, and I was there early enough that they weren't sold out of apple turnovers so I got two for the road. Excellent breakfast! I was visiting from out of town, and gave Café 431 a try. I ordered an omelette, and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered a biscuit as a side, and it was one of the top five biscuits I've ever had. I'll be coming back in town in a few months, and definitely plan on coming back. read more

I had to meet someone here so where else do you go when you want to see where to meet someone? Yelp! So we chose here!! Then a week later we decided the same place was perfect! Both visits was great service and awesome food! They operate as a team one person may take order another bring it etc! First visit i had the angry omelet which was corned beef cheese and egg with hash browns and omg the biscuit! The biscuit is old school so there. The second time I had catfish which was perfect breading and delicious!! My daughter had a burger the first visit and crab Pattie's the second she loves them! My son in law had steak both visits and loved it. Five stars am the way around!! Can't wait to go back!! Service was excellent too if I didn't say that!! And place was very very clean!! Saturday 10am Cafe 431 is bit of a drive from Ft Benning, off a stretch of the 431, located behind a statue of giant rooster. Boyfriend had been here before and hailed it as one of the best breakfast places near Columbus, GA. Parking was plentiful. We ordered: + Smoked salmon patty: I thought the salmon patty needed more flavor but the boyfriend liked it, with a big dab of tartar sauce. He thought the salmon patty and crab cakes were both equally good. + Angry Irish omelette (+$1 for the jalapeños): I LOVED the angry Irish omelet and the jalapeños were worth every penny. The omelette was spicy but it was awesome. If I lived in the area I'd be here all the time for this dish. + Grits with cheese: I salted and peppered the grits to my taste buds and added some butter. Perfect. + Georgia smoked sausage: Boyfriend was a fan. I like my sausage to have jalapeños and cheese. Loved our waitstaff. They were friendly, quick and funny. When boyfriend asked for spicy mustard, the hilarious lady of the cafe brought out a thing of spicy mustard, said it was nasty and they needed to get a new one, but we were welcome to the regular mustard, which she brought out as well. Café 431 is our go to breakfast/brunch spot as we live in Fort Mitchell. Their service is top-tier. Your immediately greeted and your food comes out very fast. My favorite breakfast special is the Philly cheesesteak omelette. I have to note that this is the only café that is consistent with what comes out of their kitchen. Just the best service and delicious food. Kind of place w a steel counter with a cake plate on it - what Waffle House wants to be. Bunch of old people and teenagers in caps and hoodies and boots. Kid at counter had a cup of coffee for me literally before I finished sitting down, food followed less than two minutes later. Guy lifts the top off of the cake thing to pull out a slice, and I say, "man! that smells good." He laughs, grabs a spoon, scrapes some of the frosting and cake crumbles off the cake plate so I can try it. It was, of course, amazing. It's in a strip mall, parking right out front.
