After waiting for an unreasonable amount of time without any service or communication, we decided to leave. It's frustrating to be overlooked, especially when you're looking forward to trying a new restaurant. We hope this was an isolated incident, but based on our experience, customer service needs significant improvement.

It's the kind of gotcha upsell you expect from budget airlines, not from a restaurant where you're supposed to feel like a guest. If something costs extra, just say so when you offer it.
