Went to have my laptop fixed, it needed the hard drive replaced. They charged me to replace a hard drive ($139) and some membership that I did not ask for or agree to. The bill they gave me differs from what my credit card account states. Sneaky!!!! The total cost was $438 to replace a hard drive. That is ridiculous. I called the next business day to ask for help (that is part of my membership) and they said to bring it in and they would look at it. I am self-employed, I cannot leave my laptop somewhere for a day or two. I called a friend and he logged into my computer and fixed what I needed in 5 minutes. I went here cause it was closest to my house, and it was definitely a waste of money. They charge 50 upfront for a very dumb reason. Then charged like an additional 100 to clean my keyboard upon my request. I did not need them to do any virus stuff on my laptop but they did anyway and did not clean my key board at all. My keys are still sticky and some still don't work. Do not go here unless you want your money to go down the drain. read more

The staff are great, technically knowledgeable, friendly, patient with questions and genuinely nice guys. Justin was able to do several upgrades - to iOS, Safari, and MS Office on my Mac, which are appreciated. He made sure Carbonite is working so I have backups again. He also freed up space on my hard drive and told me how to free up additional space by reviewing the downloads file. And all this was done in less than 24 hours! Thanks Justin! read more

DISHONEST! I brought my laptop in because my son couldn't log in. I explained that I wanted to reset from factory and that I  did not want to pay more than what the laptop cost me new, which is 120. The guy told me the most would be a new hard drive which should be around 80 dollars and that the 60 diagnostic I'll pay initially will be included with the 80. I get a call telling me the hard drive was full and that this particular laptop they couldn't replace the hard drive. I asked about just resetting to factory which is what I had mentioned when I dropped it off. He told me it would be 250. When I asked why he didn't tell me the cost to restore when I had told him that's what I wanted and I made it very clear I had tried resetting it to factory and I did not want to pay more than 120. His response was I can't show you all our prices when you drop it off. He didn't seem to care, his attitude was very poor, like whatever take your laptop and leave. read more

My hard drive crashed on my computer and Apple told me that they recommend a 3rd party company to retrieve my data. Like most Americans I am totally Apple Brainwashed so I did what they said. This company came back and told me that it would cost between $1800 & $2400 to retrieve my data. I asked for them not to precede and got my computer back. I walked into this location, told them my problem and $199 later got all my data put on to my external hard drive. I am very thankful for them and would recommend them to anyone in need! read more

They even con in reply to ratings! I was a customer for four years with 16 receipts to prove it. I spent $2,786.44 at Data Doctors. They claim in response that they had no business with me. The BBB and States Attorney have copies of all my receipts, so they can deny it, but it is all documented including conversations with the district manager. read more

My Aunt was nice enough to bring my laptop in for repair. Simple malware. At pickup, price was $500! We thought they we kidding but, no. No explanation. I've checked other computer shops in Tempe and Mesa. Told me price should have been $75-$150 and I should have been called before it went over that amount. Best Buy referred me to Data Doctors to try and save our dead hard driver after not being able to help us. Robert was extremely friendly and explained in great detail everything that would be done to try and recover the data. Our whole life was on this hard drive, from all our family videos to the last audio I had of my late father. He promised they would do their best but couldn't guarantee that it could be saved. We left there having hope....it was something. Chris then contacted us, broke down all the costs so there would be no surprises. He said the process would take about 2 weeks and if they couldn't recover the data I wouldn't be charged a thing. A week later I have everything! Had a problem with my computer today. Brought it in to the store and they cleaned it out and it was working perfectly there. Brought it home and same problem. They sent out a tech as they knew I had some major projects to get done. We thought it might be the video card. Turns out it was both of the monitors that I had tried it on were bad and with the exact same problem. They went out of their way to make sure I was up and running. Called to get ballpark on a hard drive deletion. Told them i wanted to be able to reuse the computer. Was told that I would have to pay a $59 "diagnostic" and those funds would apply to the services. However, when asked if I could get an idea for how much this would cost, I was told over and over again "no". He explained that there are several different factors, and when i stated i understood, but didnt want to blow $59 to find out it was going to be $300 to delete the hard drive and reinstall windows, he seemed to not understand how logical i was. The worst computer repair service I've ever encountered!! Took over two weeks to replace a CPU fan. Charged 250$ for a 15$ part!!! Every call I received was regarding the payment method. Their customer service is awful. Nothing but hold on phones, transfers and voice mails. The work is shipped to Tempe. After the work was done it took 2 more days to send it back to the Gilbert shop. Would not recommend this business to anyone and I will NEVER go use their service again!!! read more

I took my computer here after I had a bad experience at another local computer service. The service here was worse than the first one! I guess good computer service is hard to find (which is apparent after looking at all the 1 and 2 star computer companies in here...). They told me it would be $99 to diagnose the problem. A day later I get a call that they had finished repairing the computer and I could pick it up. I had no clue because I thought it was a diagnosis, so I went down to the store and was handed a bill for $350. They said they detected a bad hard drive and replaced it. I wouldn't have okayed the bill since I could just get a new computer for that price. I ended up getting it knocked down to $200 after talking with the manager, but even that I wouldn't have approved. The guys said they tried to call me but due to the urgency of the issue decided to replace it without my consent.... Sounds almost like a scam, but I do have a working computer now. read more
