Ordered the #BombayLatte but you must be a fan of cardamom because you can definitely taste it I also had the #JambonBuerre and it was delicious with the ham, herb butter, Gruyère, arugula and mustard. I am a returning customer but these two items were a first for me

Je taime Darshan Bakery. The coffee and food is magnifique! We had the turkey and avocado sandwich, almond chocolate croissant and latte....all of which was super yum. We will certainly frequent this wonderful place.

One year later and I'm back! I came at 3pm. The interior is really pretty and I do love how the light shines through the seating area. They also had a few books in the corner, I believe. It is clean, organized, but they do not have water cups for you. Maybe if you go at 3pm, you have to ask for it. They also have outdoor seating. Also, Yelp says there's an ocean view....No, you're not on the beach and you can't really see the water either because of the building in front. For a French bakery it didn't have many French baked goods-- for some reason lots of scones, cookies, cinnamon bun, etc. Yes, they had pain aux raisins, some pain au chocolat, plain croissants, and jambon croissant. They also had sandwiches-- some served on crispy French baguette and others served on wheat bread. The worker was kind. I ordered their tuna sandwich and she asked me "if there were any in the front?" I said "No, just turkey." And she replied that "it was okay and they would make it fresh for me." That was nice. But then the total for the sandwich was $15. I was shocked because it was more expensive than a turkey club at Board & Brew. What am I paying such a steep price for? I thought that maybe I'll get bang for my buck -- yeah right. The tuna sandwich was the most pathetic sandwich I laid eyes on and tasted. The description said there was tuna, rémoulade, cheese (can't remember exact one), arugula, balsamic on wheat bread. This sandwich was more arugula and balsamic than ANYTHING. I can still taste the bitterness. The size of the tuna was shocking as it was only maybe a teaspoon amount on the bread, check the photo. There was no rémoulade aka mayonnaise based sauce with cornichons, herbs, and sometimes capers. I'm so disappointed and honestly pissed as well that I paid $15 for this. Now that I've cooled off a little I came back to give some feedback. Their food and pastry items need to have the prices written on the menu. So that there's no shock or surprise. If you run out of something, just tell the customer so that they can choose something else if they wish. Yeah, I don't mind paying a little extra if the quality is there. There was no quality here and there was very little quantity as well. If this is how your tuna sandwich recipe is written, re write it because it's straight robbery! They were ok the first time I tried Darshan Bakery, so if you want to-- go and eat some pastries and have your morning coffee/lattes. They are just ok, nothing extraordinary like some French bakeries. But heed my warning and do not order the sandwiches. They are 1000% not worth it!!

The desserts here are about two star. The Service is about two stars. The ambience is clean and it is five stars. The coffee is not good The orange juice is fresh squeezed The sandwiches are extra salty

just had the best croissant of my life here No idea why this place only has 4 stars -- easily one of the best bakeries.

I was especially happy to be greeted by Keegan and Shaw. Both individuals were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. The selection of French pastries and drinks was impressive. I ordered the Rieme lemonade along with a couple of butter croissants, and everything was delicious. The multigrain and olive bread loaves were also very tempting and will definitely be on my list next time. Overall, the prices were very reasonable, the quality was excellent, and the experience was delightful. I'll absolutely be back

I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll made with croissant dough and to be honest, the pain eu chocolate wasn't the freshest I've had, but I still enjoyed it OK. I wouldn't order that again, but I would definitely get the cinnamon roll again. That was one of the best ones I've had. I loved that it was made from croissant dough, which made it lighter and more flaky than most cinnamon rolls. I have high standards for croissants as I've been to France many times. :) The view that I got to enjoy these watching while sitting outside, made it such a great experience. I balanced my sweets with a cold refreshing iced Americano, and I would like to come back to try the Nutella danish. The service was great. There was a sweet girl working that helped me and allowed me to take my time looking.

The shop is tucked into a quiet corner of the center and has a clean, cozy, slightly nostalgic feel to it. Everything looked well kept and inviting, and the cookie display definitely pulls you in. The cashier was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always makes the experience better. We ordered the classic chocolate chip and the Dubai cookie. Both were really well done with soft centers, great texture, and not overly sweet. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, especially the chocolate. The Dubai cookie stood out with its richer, more indulgent flavor, but the classic chocolate chip was just as satisfying. An easy spot to pop into for a treat while shopping or to grab cookies to-go. Simple, quality cookies done right.

I love how you can see their baking space through the large plate glass window behind the register area. The girl at the counter was super sweet, well groomed, very knowledgeable about the cookies and process to make some of their cookies and was so patient with all the questions my elderly mother and myself asked. I can't remember her name but she was there on Monday 12/29 around 4 or 5pm. I only wish they had sugar free options made with Monkfruit!!!

I live closer to the North Park location, but this one has the Visor flavor and my boyfriend and I are obsessed with it. You can do the taste tour and try all the flavors before deciding, which is super fun, but wow... this was hands down the best flavor we've had. We went on a Monday and the line wasn't bad at all, though the taste tour can definitely take some time. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Named the best gelato in America, two years running and I can see why. It's a whole experience!…read moreYes, the wait can be long sometimes, but it's worth it. I live in Northern California and have been to the other two brick and mortar locations on past trips to San Diego, so I knew what to expect and brought some local family along to experience the flavor tour. The first thing to know is that the names of An's don't tell you it is gelato. They are named after the businesses that preceded the space and are decorated with that theme. There are usually 7-8 flavors to sample before making your selection. The team is very friendly and helpful with questions (or with a new spoonful if your gelato slips off and onto the floor). If you don't want to experience the flavor tour, avoid the line and go straight to the cooler inside to choose a pint, purchase, and go. We had a great time, as expected. Our wait time in line was about 45 minutes. I LOVE chocolate, so I had a small size with Cypress and No Signal. My cousin loves fruity flavors, so he had the palate cleanser (lemon & ginger) and Straw-hat (mango & passionfruit). The most popular flavor is Leather (brown butter and cookies). Every flavor is excellent. It's really hard to choose. We were told a new location is coming to Oceanside at the former Top Gun house, so I'll be headed there once it opens on a future San Diego trip.
