5.5/10 - I just think that the pastries here are very overpriced. I would understand if they were a very popular and hyped bakery, but they really do have the audacity to charge what they charge. We got a very sad premade unheated baguette sandwich and that was $18 for a thin slice of bologna and cheese. The indoor seating and patio was cute, but otherwise I think that the selection was small and I just could not justify spending $7.50 for a plain croissant.

My Cortado was great, and the sandwiches we bought were too, but the sandwich selection available was limited. The service was good. The loud vehicles passing by on the 101 were a bit annoying but they probably would not keep me from visiting again.

The sandwich was tasty and fresh the coffee was fresh. The salted focaccia was wonderful I was Larry at first but it gave the sandwich a nice tangy earthy flavor. The heirloom tomatoes were fresh I got them on the side cuz you never really know. The customer service was good. A little pricey for some really small sandwich but it was worth it. And you know good things come in small packages. I'd come back. Ambiance is beautiful sitting on the balcony in a nice sunny day with a nice view of the ocean and palm trees of course

Ordered the #BombayLatte but you must be a fan of cardamom because you can definitely taste it I also had the #JambonBuerre and it was delicious with the ham, herb butter, Gruyère, arugula and mustard. I am a returning customer but these two items were a first for me

The Caprese Baget.

I had the Caprese baguet and it was super crispy and full of popping flavors ! The service here was very welcoming and warming. I enjoy the view of the worker making the freshest pastrys. The price for the Baget was very affordable too. I definitely coming back tomorrow!!

One year later and I'm back! I came at 3pm. The interior is really pretty and I do love how the light shines through the seating area. They also had a few books in the corner, I believe. It is clean, organized, but they do not have water cups for you. Maybe if you go at 3pm, you have to ask for it. They also have outdoor seating. Also, Yelp says there's an ocean view....No, you're not on the beach and you can't really see the water either because of the building in front. For a French bakery it didn't have many French baked goods-- for some reason lots of scones, cookies, cinnamon bun, etc. Yes, they had pain aux raisins, some pain au chocolat, plain croissants, and jambon croissant. They also had sandwiches-- some served on crispy French baguette and others served on wheat bread. The worker was kind. I ordered their tuna sandwich and she asked me "if there were any in the front?" I said "No, just turkey." And she replied that "it was okay and they would make it fresh for me." That was nice. But then the total for the sandwich was $15. I was shocked because it was more expensive than a turkey club at Board & Brew. What am I paying such a steep price for? I thought that maybe I'll get bang for my buck -- yeah right. The tuna sandwich was the most pathetic sandwich I laid eyes on and tasted. The description said there was tuna, rémoulade, cheese (can't remember exact one), arugula, balsamic on wheat bread. This sandwich was more arugula and balsamic than ANYTHING. I can still taste the bitterness. The size of the tuna was shocking as it was only maybe a teaspoon amount on the bread, check the photo. There was no rémoulade aka mayonnaise based sauce with cornichons, herbs, and sometimes capers. I'm so disappointed and honestly pissed as well that I paid $15 for this. Now that I've cooled off a little I came back to give some feedback. Their food and pastry items need to have the prices written on the menu. So that there's no shock or surprise. If you run out of something, just tell the customer so that they can choose something else if they wish. Yeah, I don't mind paying a little extra if the quality is there. There was no quality here and there was very little quantity as well. If this is how your tuna sandwich recipe is written, re write it because it's straight robbery! They were ok the first time I tried Darshan Bakery, so if you want to-- go and eat some pastries and have your morning coffee/lattes. They are just ok, nothing extraordinary like some French bakeries. But heed my warning and do not order the sandwiches. They are 1000% not worth it!!

I was across the street getting my hair done and we decided to order Board and Brew. I placed my order directly on their website for delivery across the street. My order took over an hour to be delivered. Then once arrived it was completely wrong. I called in to discuss the wrong sandwiches when the line was transferred to Jessie the Shift Leader. I explained my order was an hour late and he quickly interrupted me to say " I dont know what you expect when you have people who dont know English like Asian and Russians delivering your items". I explained that what does that have to do with my sandwich that was made wrong. He continued to argue with me and state he could do nothing but the owner Ryan know. As the call was ended he decided to bring up his racist thoughts again about grubhub and Uber delivery drivers and continued to repeat how these people cant understand anything and all it is is African, Asians and Russians. I told him his comments were out of line and completely racist. He still attempted to spill out hateful speech over hearing what a customer had to say and I finally hung up. He called me back 30 min later and said rhe owner Ryan was refunding my money and he was sorry for his racist comments. Absolutely way to late!!! I DO NOT RECOMMENDED ANYONE goes to this board and brew. Also corporate should consider who they allow to run these establishments becuase it sets a bad reputation for other locations! I will NEVER return and hope anyone of any culture or heart dor humanity never gives this board and brew business again!!!

I almost ordered a steak, but the pastrami sandwich look good. Order was ready quite quickly in fact, just as I parked my car. I got the text that it was ready. I walked in. I hadn't been here in a while set up looked a little bit different and more open. I did not walk around the store this time I just went to the back counter grabbed my order. They gave it to me with a smile and I was out. Brought the food home ate half of everything as you see on my plate. Save the other half for the next day. So glad with this pastrami sandwich! I love the butchery

Whatever the one with steak and chimichurri is was phenomenal. 9/10. A little gristle but overall delicious. But...the beef tallow fries are top tier! Crispy and flavorful. Literally the best fries I've ever had (and like Dolly Parton, I've never met a potato I didn't like). Cute place. Nice people. Excellent curation of products. Glad I don't live closer or I'd be broke!

Quick and easy! - PIZZA: thin crust, good - PRICE: very affordable - SERVICE: excellent and very friendly - AMBIANCE: block from the beach, small, but welcoming Pizza and beach vibes just go hand-and-hand. Both simple and fulfilling. They sell by the slice and they sell pies - more selection of pies over the glass casing for the slices. They also sell sandwiches and salads which I am excited to try next return. SPECIALITY OF THE DAY ($5) - cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, and garlic. As I've been told it's a staff favorite among the rotating flavors for speciality of the day. At first it tasted like a normal pepperoni pizza but then the garlic flavor really shines thru. The crust was "New York" style, thin and crispy... for me it had brittle edges! I find that thin crust pizza are just more fun to eat when on the go. HIGHLY RECOMMEND There are very few tables inside and out, however sometimes wiping your own table down may happen as people frequently so quickly that when one leaves another sits not leaving room for cleanup. Pet peeve, greasy marks on tables - be cautions that can be u friendly to clothes. I appreciate this space in the neighborhood and it appears so do many others!! Until the next review....
