It was an hour until closing so I called to see if they would still be able to accommodate me. I was told to come in, no problem. My manicure looks awful. I could tell it was rushed when I left but it didn't look AS bad until I got home and allowed my nails to dry longer. I don't know if it was because the polish they were using was old (I saw them add acetone drops to the bottle several times), the guy who did my nails didn't know what he was doing, or because everything was rushed so they can finish by closing time. Perhaps some combination of the three. Gel topcoat was used on regular polish that may not have been given enough time to dry despite using the mini fan. Overall, the manicure was a BIG waste of money. There's even a piece of dust or brush hair stuck in one of the nails! My pedicure looked good at least.

I came early because I thought they open at 9:30 but they open at 10:30am, I did not have an appointment but I did call he told me to come right at 10:30 and they took me in I was very impressed great customer service don't have any complaints. I love my nails thank you!!!

I went there for second time. first time only for a full and Joe said last person didn't know how to do nails and he didn't do much better. I had uneven fill. then went for new set & asked if he could put acetone with cotton balls to take off acrylic nails instead of dipping. Joe got offended and said been doing nails for 25 years and never seen that. He left me sitting there with cottonballa and took another Customer. He never came back after 45 mins so I wanted out. Horrible customer service. only he and wife work there. I understand why now

They have great prices. I think my nails turned out really cute. Also, I had no nail pain. Sometimes, depending on the salon, my nails hurt while getting them done. The person who did them used the blue light a lot. They look really good, but I'm not used to using the blue nail light so much. I took a star away because I think the shop needs a good cleaning. Other than nail polish everywhere, it's a cozy little place.

Tony is great! I came in needing a fill on a set of nails that weren't originally done very well. He said not to worry he would fix and fill them to make them look more natural. They look great! Thanks Tony!! Definitely recommend it here. They are friendly and care about the work they do.

First time here today. Found them on yelp. Decided to give them a try. I really like that they make sure your fingers are nice and moist dipping them in water they take the time to clean cuticles well. They also give you a hand and arm massage in the end which I love. Many nail places don't do that anymore. Even expensive ones that I've been to don't do that at all so I appreciate it in this place that they still do that. They have a variety of color to choose from which is awesome! Today I only spent $30 that's including my $5 tip for a Gel Manicure YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT PRICE!!!!! I will be returning!

I've lived in Azusa for years and always past through this nail place but never came in until today. First and for most it's was very easy to book an appointment , The staff is quiet but friendly. I came in asking for a full set , medium long with a white thin French tip to the upper and side of my nail, I'm very particular when it comes to my nails and let me tell you the man is on point with detail, he then asked his daughter to do the fine lines , I was iffy about it but she blew me away , her steady hands to the fine lines were on POINT!! Didn't get their names but GREAT JOB!

So I did not have an appointment this evening I called last minute and they were kind enough to take me in! I would have just been grateful for any service since it was so last minute!however they literally gave me top notch service my nails look amazing using the best pedicure I've ever had so so I highly recommend Tony at at darling Nails and his wife they do excellent quality work!!! Definitely make an appointment though! They get busy I just got blessed this evening!

Came here on a Tuesday within an hour of closing time (around 6:15pm), and they still happily took me without an appointment. This was my first time here and I just decided to take a chance and try this place out since it was at a convenient location for me. She took her time with my nails, had pleasant conversation, and got my Gel French Tips done at a decent price, just the way I wanted them! Very pleased, and definitely will be coming back!

I came in with a certain design and I was mind blown with the end results! The wait time wasn't even that long either! They were very pleasant and courteous to me and gave me water and candy! It took me a few years to find a spot that I will come every single time I need a new set, a touch up or anything else I need done with my nails! read more

Came in as a walk in, I'm a dude and probably get pedicures once every couple of months. This place was dope, not the crazy upscale salon vibe but I like that. I just want to handle business. Was taken right away and the lady who did my feet was super thorough. Got the callus peel too. Only reason why I gave 4 is because the digging in my nails kind of hurt, but that's probably because I'm a big guy, 6'2 and where a size 14. She got my nails super clean but maybe went hard on me because I'm big, rightfully so. Or maybe I'm just a pussy when it comes to my feet. Anywho, it was quick and thorough. I'll be back for sure. read more

During my current pedicure 3 of my toes are cut and bleeding. The sides of my nails were cut (not to my liking) and this lady is rough. I would not recommend coming for a pedicure service here. It is Wednesday afternoon and the shop is very slow so there is no need for her to be this rushed and negligent. Choose your nail technicians wisely ladies! Do not come here. read more

This was my favorite salon but unfortunately not anymore. I contemplated writing this review for a while but it is time. I decided to no longer come here as their daughter did my gel mani last time I was there. Their daughter who is clearly under 15. My guess would be 10-11. Yes you read that right she did my gel manicure. The many times I've been here this has never happened to me- mind you they weren't even that busy. If I am paying for a professional service I expect a professional to complete the service not a child! Nothing against the child but so unprofessional. Another thing that ran me away is they are not very clean with their tools. I seem to have the same tools used on me that they used on other people. I have never seen them open the tools out of a packet signifying they've been disinfected and cleaned. So although they have a lot of gel to colors to chose from and decent prices, I won't be back. read more

I really like this tiny little nail shop. I was attracted to Darling Nails by the work of Tony so I made an appointment with him. I love the work that he did and I left so very happy because I got the shape that I wanted. He was meticulous and took his time which I appreciated. This was the most stressful mani and pedi that I have ever received. First, this place is not sanitary. They used old files that were used on other people and the box with the tools was also used to store their tip money. Not even sure if they sterilized the tools. Next, the technicians didn't speak any english so it was difficult to communicate. Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if the techs were unlicensed. Both technicians for the mani and pedi were really rough and the "massage" was just them slathering lotion. The technician even cut my foot so I was in pain most of the time. Despite the fact that I was bleeding they still charged me full price. They painted my cut toe with no thought as to whether they should throw the polish away since it was used on someone with a cut toe which is really gross. This is the first time ever in which I didn't even bother to tip because I was so disappointed. This place is cheap but came out expensive given the horrible experience. read more

Horrible service! Only two people here, I waited patiently about 20 minutes to get ONE nail fixed... a lady comes in 20 after me says she needs mani pedi gel... instead of taking me first and getting me out of the way she seats me behind the guy that is busy with a client, interrupts him to fix my nail and she takes the lady that came in after me! Mean while the guy applied a new nail and acrylic then left me to finish with his client! Now 40 minutes later he's working on my ONE nail.‍ I mean the lady could've got me out the way first them got to the mani pedi ‍ read more

Not sterile and worrisome. After my pedicure the lady had me put my feet on a stool that was not sterilized so that my feet could dry, then gave the stool to someone else after without cleaning it. The pedicure price is $12 at the door but when you go to pay they say oh it's $13 because you got polish. Then she pointed to the sign. They said it was $12 when I walked in! Plus if you use a card it's an extra dollar. The woman next to me got cut and was bleeding from her toes. Just not coming here again. read more

I had A regular manicure yesterday. The man who did the main part of my manicure was pleasant but left edges of my nails rough and unfinished. Then he handed me off to, who I think was his daughter I would estimate at 10 or 11 years old, who did my polish. I did not get a clear base coat and two of my nails were poorly polished. Although this young woman was a nice person the experience was not the best. read more

I called to make appointment. This was my first time. I asked when I called for prices on a spa pedicure and acrylic fill. I asked at that time if there was any charge for shortening mails. He said no only for long nails. The total would be $50. I made an appointment. When I got there the place was all locked up. No sign saying what to do but I called to make sure I was at the right place. He said they were coming from West Covina and he would be there in 10 to 15 minutes. I decided to wait. The equipment was dirty and I didn't get a spa pedicure. He said he couldn't do the fill during a spa pedicure. The old bucket type was used. I was turned sideways from the man doing my fill. So awkward and uncomfortable. The pedicure was not very good. Barely any massage. Old fashioned. When I went to pay I was told it was $53.00. I asked why. I was told because he shaped and shortened my nails. I won't be going back. read more

This place is a hidden gem! It was my first time going in today and Samantha and Tony took care of me like I was a regular! I got a full set gel manicure and a pedicure for an AMAZING price. They helped me pick out the colors and cared about what I wanted. I went to the same nail guy for TEN YEARS and when I moved, I could NOT find someone to do my nails exactly how I wanted. DARLING NAILS is my new home, they have fabulous prices and an INSANE collection of polishes! The ONLY downside was that I was unaware of the fact they have facials too! For TWENTY bucks, if I would have known that, I would have gotten that too! In total I spent under $50 today!! And I was treated like a returning customer instead of a new walk-in. Although I didn't have to wait at all, I suggest to make an appointment, because they do get busy! I for sure will be returning! read more

They do good nails but aren't gentle, I always come out with cuts on the side from filing. I also wish they would use their pedicure seats, I've never seen them use it, instead they use little buckets. To me I get my mails to be relaxed which is why I enjoy the pedicure seats. I stop going because they have a very young family member who paints you're nails and it made me feel uncomfortable, I don't think a kid should be doing that. I understand it's just painting nails but it was uncomfortable for me. read more

The service was really slow took over two hours just for a pedicure and gel manicure. I found it very unsanitary the guy at the front desk was coughing into his hands and picking his nose then handling polishes and also customers without washing his hands. Also they soaked my nails in pure acetone making it extremely weak after the whole service. Definitely not the best experience I've had at a nail salon. read more

This has been my nail salon for 3 years now and they are amazing ! I always get exactly what I want . Im never rushed, and I always get great work. Everything is clean and there's a ton of great colors regular or gel . They can do any design you want . Also the best prt about this , it's a great price I never feel I'm being robbed. Ooooookay. I never, ever do this. Especially working in the retail industry. But I'm so unhappy with my service. I first called to know prices and was happy with what i heard, so i thought I give it try. As the girl was doing my manicure and fixing my cuticles, she cut my pinky finger with the utensil she was using. She then grabs a little blue bottle and puts a couple dabs on in to stop bleeding. I trusted in her to know she was doing something right. So i left it alone. Then when she was doing my pedicure, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. She was scraping my cuticles so hard, she cut me again and i started bleeding. Then continued to put some blue solution on it and the painted my toe. I was hoping and trusting nothing would happen.. but i was wrong. Even though it looked okay, my toe started hurting the next day and when i looked at it, it was infected and already had puss. Maybe it was my fault because i didn't speak up at the time, but how it was handled was very unprofessional. Especially not even apologizing for cutting me. Now seeing what my toe looks like and how much it hurts, is very very upsetting. read more

I've been going to the same nail spa since 2002. I would never go anywhere else. Up until two weeks ago. Someone recommend this place and let's just say I am so glad I came. My Gel Nails weren't lasting and we all know how expensive it is. So when they are chipping just days later, it's annoying. I came here and the Gel is amazing. I've had the same Gel for two weeks, looks amazing and I just love my nails. Everyone is asking where I got them done. Sending them all to darling nails. ;) the owner is so sweet and very accommodating. She was fast and guaranteed her work. No one I know does that. I love this place, will definitely be coming back and y'all should too. Especially if you are into Gel!!!! read more

Very nice service. They accomodated for my mother in a wheelchair who cannot twist due to spinal surgery. She received a mani & pedi. My father received a mani & pedi who is also not the easiest to work on due to a stroke and has a contracted right hand. I, myself received a gel french mani and french pedi. Kim did my mani and Tanya did my pedi. Truly happy with the service. I will definitely be coming back again. read more

I asked if I could have a paraffin wax treatment for my sore fingers, and they told me they would have to charge me extra for that since they already redid my nails for free, even though they were fixing the poor job they previously did which was improperly curing the gel polish so that it peeled off immediately. They did apply gel builder to my nails, but that was due to them over filing the polish off and making my nails paper thin and breaking off. I was told they promised to fix the problem via messages on yelp if I updated my negative feedback review. But my main issue was the pain and bleeding of my cuticles which didn't heal for several weeks. I asked if they had any cuticle oil I could take home to treat them, they refused and told me to go buy aquaphor and use that. So they didn't actually address my main concern which was my bleeding damaged cuticles, and only changed the paint.

When I said goodbye to her in Vietnamese and let her know that I understood the conversation, it was clear she had not expected that. Professionalism and respect should be a given in any service environment, and it's definitely lacking here. I will not be returning. For potential customers considering this salon, be aware that conversations you don't understand may not always be appropriate.

Customer service is a really big deal to me, so even though they aren't the closest salon to me, I kept coming back and got to know several of the technicians, everyone has been wonderful. They do everything from simple solids to designs, I've gotten it all and always been happy with my nails, and in the rare occasion I wanted to change or fix something, all I had to do was ask and and they were happy to accommodate me to make sure I was happy. I kept getting my nails done throughout my pregnancy but took a break when I had my baby, and when I came back, several of the staff remembered me, asked about the baby, and even remembered my signature colors! THAT'S the service that will keep me coming back!

First time I come here at this nail store, I had a very bad experience last time I went to another store with my sister so I went on yelp and this store had good reviews. I first went in as a customer and the service was here was great they were at service when I first walked in and hey were very very busy they treated me and my sister like a family. I have never seen and y store with so many nail polish hey had over 650 gel colors they really had very good colors it was hard to choose. Regular colors had over 700 colors . They are very careful and took there time when there were customers waiting for them the store is small but very clean. I barley moved to Azusa from Baldwin park and when it comes to my nail I am very picky. The first time I came to darling nails with my daughter. I got a full set and pedicure and my daughter got a gel mani pedi. I really like how the ladies did my pedicure because they took their time and the man tony that did my full set was really good. He did it exactly like how I wanted it. The lady Kim that did my daughter gel mani did an excellent job too my daughter really like her gel manicure. Darling Nails is a fabulous salon with high end, quality work. Tony and Kim are consistent with their precise techniques. Gel manicures are beyond amazing and I have not come across another salon who does such an excellent job. The new spa chair provides a relaxing environment while enjoying a pedicure, and it was definitely a great addition to the services being provided. Efficient and professional at what they do, don't listen to those reviews that say otherwise because my nails are STRONG and stay on forever! Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The staff was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unwilling to help with even basic concerns. Communication was a mess, promises were not kept, and the quality of service was far below acceptable standards. It honestly felt like they cared more about taking money than treating customers properly. I wasted my time, energy, and patience dealing with this place. I really like this place. The owner is really friendly and they treat you like family. Tony does my full set and i really like it. Kim does my gel manicure sometimes and i absolutely love it. They have to so choices in color, they have all the good brands like OPI and Essies. The place is very clean and elegant. Each costumer gets their own tool box.
