Helen and Jason always make you feel so welcome and at home the moment you walk in--they truly care about their clients. I got my nails done here a few times, and depending on who works on you, the nails come out either great, or somewhat decent. Some of the employees don't do so great. I risked coming back here to get my nails done for my wedding which HAD to be PERFECT. I specifically requested that the owner work on me. I forgot her name though. I was super specific with my request. She was very understanding that there's no room for mistakes because it was so a very special event and I made that very very clear. I felt bad being like that because I usually have a hard time speaking up for myself when I don't like something, but this time it had to be different. It's safe to say that she NAILED it. I've NEVER left crying from a nail salon before so this was a first and hopefully the last time. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted my nails to look like for an engagement shoot. It was really important to me that I got my nails done right for this photo shoot since I had to travel pretty far and it would be my first professional photo shoot. I showed them some pictures on my phone and what I wanted was a natural pink ombre look with dipped glitter tips. Well what I got was a complete mess for $42. Diamond 3D Nails was not my first choice nail salon, but it was open and they were willing to take me in without much of a wait. The first girl who worked on my nails spoke very limited English. I had to turn to the lady next to her to confirm she understood what I was asking for. It took a good 20 minutes to work with the pink colors, then when I asked for glitter dipped tips, things started going downhill. She wasn't creating the look that I wanted and my nails started looking really awful so the lady next to her started helping me and tried to work on my nails, although she also didn't know how to create the dipped glitter look. She got frustrated with me and pretty much explained that my nails were too short to create the look I showed her on the phone. She eventually left yelling in Vietnamese and at this point I was in tears. The third lady that actually tried to calm me down was Helen. She was probably the most talented among the staff since she actually had the patience and took the time to understand what I wanted. She apologized for the confusion and tried to fix the mistakes the two other ladies had made before her. Sadly what resulted was really thick and lumpy nails. I didn't want to bother anymore since I had been there for almost 1.5 hours and just wanted to leave. I definitely would never recommend Diamond 3D nails to anyone. There is really only one lady there that can understand English and take your requests seriously. read more

I came here for the first time right at opening time (930) on a Friday morning. I was the first to arrive and was warmly greeted. Cindy was my nail technician and gave me one of the best gel pedicures I have had.. she is a rockstar. I have sensitive feet and toes from running.. she was super gentle yet thorough and we had great conversation. The place is very clean. They were even mopping the floors as they were opening. They are relatively cheap compared to the San Diego city prices I am used too ($26 for gel pedi!). All the staff were super friendly. I took a punch card as I plan to come back when in the area. I called and made a same day appointment. Was greeted right away, people seemed nice enough. They sat me with a woman who was not the friendliest, but she was dressed the sharpest. She took 3 hours to do my nails. She must've just gotten some new tools. She used every tool in her station. To top it off, she couldn't find the color that I wanted. So I called over the phone to ask how much a French tip costs and there was a man that answered $35. I get there and get a regular, basic French tip and when I'm about to pay he charges me $50. I think it's way too expensive for what I got. Just a heads up. Make sure you ask right before they do your nails so you won't be caught off guard. read more

My usual nail place kept putting me off on my walk ins so I remembered this salon. So very glad I went. To be honest, I was pretty non challant about the Covid virus, I mean I sanitized and wear masks but that was the extent of it until it hit home. I have two family members struggling for their life right now. So when I walked into the salon, I was surprised, they actually have a Covid questionnaire for me to fill out and they insisted I wash my hands before service and finally my temperature was taken. So 5 stars in their compliance to Covid policies. All the pedicure wears glove all the time. Good policies which I did not see at the other salon. Now the price of my pedicure was very reasonable and the staff was friendly and took their time. I hate the feeling that they are just trying to get your service done and over with as soon as possible. It was a very good experience overall. After my last review of Diamond 3D Nails, Helen reached out to me to make it right. She assured me that they could meet my expectations and that I can always talk to her about anything that might go amiss. That was almost a year ago and, since then, I have experienced first-hand (no pun intended!) the care and consistency of the staff. On occasion, I haven't been 100% satisfied but, upon expressing so, the issues were fixed right away. Let me emphasize that this has only been on occasion. Overall I have found that, as long as I am clear about what I want done and I observe and provide input throughout the process, there will be no issues at all. Called ahead and they were available for a walk in! Jason did a full acrylic set for me which turned out absolutely perfect. I showed him a picture from Pinterest of the nails I wanted and he was able to recreate them perfectly. This set cost me $65+tip. Definitely worth going here! I would 100% recommend. read more

I've been coming to this salon for over 3 years and I've been dedicated customer who travels from LA. Back in February of this year, my husband bought a gift certificate for $125 for Valentines Day. As a mother of 5 kids, it's hard for me to keep everything together and a few days after Valentines Day, I stuffed the certificate in my purse so I can go use it only to find out later that I couldn't find it. I reached out to Helen and Jason asking if they seen on their books if any certificates have been redeemed and they said no, and said i check back in a "few months". I checked back in July and Helen said no, nothing has been redeemed. It is now December and I was told "it's not our fault". Given the fact that there are log books of the certificates sold and the ones that have been redeemed, I didn't think it would be too much of a stretch to return to the log book, search for the ones sold in February that MATCH the amount of mine, and cross reference those with the ones that have NOT been redeemed but he kept asking me for the certificate number knowing I explained that I lost it. Coming from a loyal customer, it's a horrible feeling when someone makes you feel like you're trying to scam them. I even asked that they review the surveillance tapes where you can clearly see my husband walk in and purchase the certificate and match that day with the day on the log book but all in all, this place made $125 off of us and wouldn't even help. It had been at most a week since I got my nails done and had very little growth but broke a nail & going on a trip so had to go in. When it came time to pay she charged me $45!!!!!!!
