* Walked in on a Saturday and were seated quickly, which was appreciated. * My mom's nail tech was very sweet, patient, and did a nice job on her gel manicure. * My pedicure was disappointing. My toenails weren't cleaned underneath after I asked about it and my tech wouldn't remove two small ingrown more like hangnail areas that other nail techs have helped with before. * Nail polish removal was very rough and uncomfortable. * The massage lasted less than a minute and the whole service felt rushed. There were only 3 people in the salon: my mom, myself and one other person and they seemed much more attentive to the other woman. * The salon didn't feel very clean. The walls were dirty, the baseboards were dusty, they had stuff duct taped on the chairs that were falling apart. The furniture and pillows were mismatched and the hallway to the restroom had a shredded curtain and wasn't well maintained in the back. Bathroom was pretty dirty too. * There were only three technicians working on a Saturday and the overall quality of service reflected that. *They did have AC which felt nice during this hot summer, but other than not much else going for this place. Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff the experience didn't meet our expectations and we won't be returning. read more

Pros: Got a walk in appt. My regular non-gel manicure lasted 2 weeks, minimal slight chipping toward the end of week 2. Pedi looked nice until I removed the polish to do my own pedi this week. Cons: I asked if the manicure would be soaking my fingers first. She said yes. But proceeded to give a dry manicure. She used an electric tool to remove the dead cuticle, I prefer, hand soaking, but didn't get that. No polish hand drying in the cure machine, "regular dries on its own in few minutes." She gave me no fan or quick dry spray. So I told her to put an extra strong clear coat to set it. She did and that's probably why it lasted approximately 2 weeks. Big Con: A different woman who did not speak even 1 single word of simple English, (but the others who work there did). My pedicuriet couldn't understand anything I asked about my pedicure. Had to ask the other woman to please translate for me. No disinfectant blue/green product in the water. Although I asked for it. Huge Con: I took the polish off from the pedicure and my nails were dark stained reddish from the maroon polish, apparently she didn't use a clear base coat even though I asked for it, PRIOR to her polishing my toes. Final Serious Con: I got a nail fungal infection on 2 toes that wasn't there before. I am extremely upset about this. And wished they had better sanitation and disinfection protocols AND staff who can understand the proper nail service conversation so these serious issues won't happen. I will not be returning to Mesa Nail, and now I wish I never went there and had not paid AND tipped them. Now I have to try to get this nail infection gone which is a nightmare that can take months to years to treat. May God have mercy. read more

First time at this establishment. I called and asked how soon I could get in? The woman on the phone said I could come right away. I got there within 15 minutes and was taken to a chair. My feet were soaked, nail polish removed and filed. Then the "technician" started painting my nails. I said you're not going to trim? She did not seem to understand but did not ask anyone for help. I showed her what I would expect to be automatic in a $35 pedicure. I don't know if she was new or just in a rush, but I was shocked. I truly hate writing bad reviews, and I had to sleep on this one. Their customer service could improve. Who ever took my call hung up on me midsentence. I was attempting to ask for pricing and she couldn't understand I think because her English was very broken. So it's clear there is a language barrier. But she sure was able to schedule my appointment. Date and time she knew. The minute I started asking for pricing she only reiterated date and time to me and then hung up on me as I was still asking the question for a second time. They could have taken me because they weren't busy and they could have told me "next time you need to make an appointment." Avoid this place . I called for a price for a full set . I walk in and was greeted and the nail lady then starts removing my nails . I tell her they're acrylic and she starts drilling all the acrylic off my nails on my left hand . She stops and goes to ask her "manager" about my nails she comes back and tells me it's extra to remove acrylic nails and it would be $15 . Why wouldn't she tell me this in the beginning. I leave because the nail tech said she's not trained in acrylic only gel x . I don't trust her at this point and I leave . Upset . I have one hand with drilled off nails and one hand with my pretty acrylic nails . Don't go here . The nail techs here are in experienced . And new . I didn't see any Nail tech Licenses either . First of all they DO NOT offer acrylic. They only use builder gel. Which at first I thought was going to be the same but the application of the builder gel was very THICK. The way it was applied also really hurt I did not want to ask for it to be made thinner because of how much the application hurt the first time :( all and all I was super disappointed how my nails turned out. Ownership changed and it's gone downhill since. I know Evelyn is gone and haven't seen Grace last two times I went but hope she is still there because they need her! Got a simple cat eye gel on my natural nails, no design and that took two hours with a new staff. Couple nails came out lousy/uneven but I didn't have the energy to mention since I already spent 2 hours sitting there and I assumed she's new so I let it go. On top of that there were only two employees so no one was able to simultaneously do my pedicure so I told her to cancel it. My boyfriend also made an appointment for a pedicure last week and they told him to come at 3. He goes and they turned him away and asked him to come back at 4 since they underestimated how long they were taking. Overall, short staffed and inexperienced staffs are impacting quality. read more

I visited less than a week ago. I had a mani/pedi and both were nongel nail polishes. I wanted a simple light pink/clear coat. I haven't done anything to cause damage to my nails other than washing my hands and some light dish washing. As you can see my nails are already chipping. Oddly, there's an opaque discoloration in the center that developed when I went out into the sun after my appointment. The girls were nice however, which made me pause to think about leaving this review but ultimately it's a business and money was spent (not cheap either). The services I received were substandard and frustrating. I have stopped going to nail parlors for this reason. So often I get such bad quality of work. I keep wanting to have hope so once in a while I'll take another gamble and I lost here, again.
