Thank you!!! I've been coming to this nail salon for over a year now, and I keep coming back because they always do an amazing job. The staff is friendly, professional, and pays great attention to detail. My nails always look beautiful and last a long time. I even trusted them with my wedding nails, and they turned out absolutely perfect. They were exactly what I wanted, and I received so many compliments already. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for beautiful nails and excellent service! read more

I came here for Gel X and a pedicure. While I was waiting for my Gel X service, an older woman did my pedicure. I noticed she was using nail clippers and a nail file that appeared to have been used on another customer. I asked if the tools were new and properly sanitized for me, but she did not answer. The gel polish was also poorly applied. It was uneven and spilled around the sides of my toenails. After only ONE DAY, most of the polish had already come off. Cleanliness, sanitation, and proper service should be basic standards at a nail salon. Unfortunately, I experienced none of that here. I don't live in Glendora, so I couldn't return to show the owner personally how disappointed I was. Definitely a terrible experience. I would not come back. read more

I have been a patron of this establishment for over five years, and I would like to highlight several exceptional qualities of Luminous Nails. 1. The staff consistently demonstrates outstanding professionalism and attentiveness to client needs. 2. The owner is consistently friendly and personable. 3. The establishment maintains impeccable hygiene standards. David, Sebastian, Tina, and Danny consistently provide exceptional service. Furthermore, the pricing is highly competitive. read more

The owner of this salon has a very quick response time and offers his phone number for any questions you may have for services. The owner is extremely kind and although I came in with an idea of what I wanted, he helped pick out the perfect colors and paid attention to detail. He was constantly asking me if I was happy, and if things were OK, which made me feel like he genuinely cared about my opinion and his work. The salon is not too big, but the customers seem to have a good relationship with all the workers and you can tell that the service brings everyone back. The salon is also very clean and although the options are overwhelming, it's just makes me excited to see what we can do in the future. My next time, I will try their pedicure service. I would definitely recommend coming to this salon read more

I called ahead to remove my gel polish and I came a bit early and it was busy but once my appointment time came, someone had promptly come to help me. They tried to upcharge me and when I said no, they were still friendly and accommodating (which hasn't been the case in other salons I've been to). It was also affordable and everyone was very friendly. I'd go again. read more

I like stopping here for my pedicure. It's a small nail shop but I don't mind it. They do need new chairs I always get the one in the front and it's not the most comfortable massage. Price for pedi is reasonable it's $25 for regular. I like the lady she gives a good massage. read more

First time getting services done with this place. I was in a short time frame, I submitted a Yelp ISO, and they were one of the closes to me, and responded promptly! They sat my daughter and myself as soon as we got to the place. Place is clean, very presentable. They started working on our needs immediately! I normally don't get pedicures however, the side my big toes were tender so I had not choice, needless to say, I am glad I came in, because Tina did an awesome job taking care of my feet. Now my feet look normal and not scary! I highly recommend coming in and get pampered by the staff of Luminous Nails! Support your local business! And as usual, ENJOY! read more

Second time coming to this nail salon. First time I asked for dipping powder manicure. Which I received by nail tech Kim and she did a good job. My second visit, I needed. Dipping powder again, so I figured what would happen was they remove my current dipping color and give me a whole fresh new manicure. That didn't happen. I am not the one to make a fuss. But I did tell Kim I didn't want a Fill after she offered me a fill. Which to me having a fill done with an old dipping powder color set makes zero sense. Mind you. I am not using acrylic. I told her I did not want a fill and wanted my old dip powder removed. She ignored my request and gave me a fill and then covered it with white gel polish. Which I did not ask for. Now my nails are cracking and my real nail is beginning to separate from the original dip powder I had done weeks prior. I am upset. I will not be returning to an establishment that only gives you what they clearly prefer to do. And still charge you like they provided a whole new clean powder. They wanted to save on their powder probably but still charge me as though powder was provided. I now have to go to a different salon and get my dip powder manicure I initially requested in the first place. read more

Luminous Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Glendora, California

First time trying this place, Tammy and Dan were amazing. Prices are good too. I did not have reservation, but took me in right away.

I initially thought I had a really good experience the first time because it was fast. I don't want to rag on a business ever. So I'm not trying to be mean and bring this place down. I just think this is important to mention. After two manicures here, I felt like something was off with my nails. I went back to my original salon and it turns out my nails were filed down so much at Luminous Nails, that it's almost to my nail beds. My nails have never been this thin and flimsy ever. Please be careful how your gels/dip get removed. Now my nails need a break and I can't get gel for a few months. read more

Parking: front main street & there's parking in the rear. There's a rear door you can enter Service: 9/10, but I give them 5 stars! One of the techs went too ham on cleaning my cuticles, and I felt the burning halfway through the nail polish portion and notice a light pink of pink on my thumb cuticle line. Imo, I don't think that should happen if you're a professional. Not sure if he was just tired or got distracted since I came in around 4pm. They were very accommodating and always gave their honest opinion (even without me asking), which I appreciate. Came here to get butterfly design with gel (to match my birthday outfit). They did an amazing job with the butterfly despite my names being short. I didn't want to get long nails because the day after the party I was getting my nails for, I would be on a motorcycle trip so I didn't want my nail bed to get sore in my gloves since it's not made for long (or medium) nails. read more

Everyone at the establishment was nice. However, I booked an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. During the application, I got a small cut on my cuticle because he was drilling so much there. He did not put cuticle remover or clean under my nails. While putting on the tips, he pushed them down really hard and it hurt. A couple of the tips don't fit from side to side. I requested gems to be added on my nails and some of them are crooked and there are blank spots where there are no gems. I expected to get a little discount because I had to wait a while to get my nails done but I didn't. Overall the appointment was very rushed. read more

Very attentive and relaxing. I prefer the smaller businesses in terms of store space. It is not stressful with so many people talking and make you feel welcome. Removed my gel nails whilst giving me a pedicure, take their time and are gentle with their work on you. I don't live in Glendora, but I come out here a lot for work. I am in real estate and always need a fresh pair of nails. This is by far my favorite nail salon. Such a great location in downtown Glendora. David is the best - he's so friendly and nice. So many great colors to pick from. They also have a lot of spa treatments- which is so cool. They close at 7P and the usually take me last minute which I appreciate. The pedicure stations are super comfortable and they also have massage settings. The quality of their work is A+ and they take great pride in their designs. I am so excited I found my spot out here! Oh and I can't forget they are probably the most reasonable - $20 for a regular pedicure, sign me up baby! Thank you David and team for your great work! See you soon! read more

I really hate to do this, but I had my nails done here a few days ago. I asked for a simple mani pedi. Nothing fancy I just wanted my nails to look clean. Started off with a pedicure, which was ok, I thought the amount of paint being used up on my toes was a bit excessive, after the 9th coat of paint I was like ok that's way too much I hope they aren't charging per coat of nail polish. With the top clear coat it was a total of 10 coats. Then on to my nails, now I don't like to intervene in a persons work, so I kept my mouth shut. But once again, one, two three, four, 5 coats of gel nail polish. Gel, not including the first coat of clear polish placed at the beginning. And I noticed that the person doing my nails wasn't coating the edges of my nails on the sides, and it wasn't like a nice line that was painted. It was like a noticeable hole. And on some nails he would paint all the way up to the cuticle and others he would paint it 3/4ths of the way up leaving a big gap between the cuticle and the paint. On other nails he painted on the actual skin. The job looked bad. It looked like if my 2 year old niece went crazy on my nails. It was very disappointing. And when I told the guy about it he seemed upset. I wasn't rude, I wasn't a bitch. He asked me what I thought and I told him what happened and that I didn't like it. The nail polish, since so much was used, looked like it was bubbling up: I pointing out the places where he missed where there was no nail polish and the half nails he didn't paint to the cuticle and then the skin that was painted on. He then started taking it off with the dremel nail file which in some areas he cut my skin. He said " you don't like I'll fix." Normally I would have allowed him to fix the issue but he had already had me sitting in his chair for a little over 3 hours. For a simple mani pedi, I think that's too long. I had other things to do. Very disappointed. I had come here last year and thought that I had found my new go to place, but with this experience I do not wish to step foot in this establishment again. The guy, who seemed to me, to be the owner was nice enough to only charge me for the pedicure which looked awful as well. After waiting 5 hours to put my socks on, my socks still left indentations on the nail polish because so much of it was put on. To the ladies that like this place , keep going. Im only talking about my experience. I wouldn't come back here. And I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends after this experience. read more

My second time here and Kim did an amazing job on my Gel-X set! My nails came in looking beat up and she did a great job of gently filing and soaking the old dip off and hooked me up with a flawless finish on these nails. David did my nails previously here (don't have a picture) and they also looked awesome. Both technicians are friendly and professional and had me in and out of the salon in 1 hour. Went here for the first time. Made the mistake of not asking pricing before getting nails done. I was charged $100 for press on nails.... yes, I was stunned... although I did get special designs, $100 is way out of how much it should have been. Especially as he nicked my skin and I still had dried blood walking out. Acrylic would make more sense, as you can get fills... but as happy as I was with these.. I doubt these will last as long. I already feel them weakening as I do things, I'm hoping they don't pop off anytime soon. Correct me if I'm wrong... but are press on nails like this worth the $100?! read more

*Beware of up charging, bad customer service, late nail tech, and only ONE nail tech that can properly service you* This is MY experience, the last time I went was about a year ago so I'm hoping things improved since then but I will never return or spend my money here. I had first discovered this place on Yelp and loved the work so decided to do the trip and come here. My first nail set I had no issues. I loved it so much so that I had invited my mom to do a second trip with me so I can get her nails done. I texted David asking if he can do both our nails, he said yes. Unfortunately when we went my mom got placed with another nail tech. Her nails came out so shitty. Like half assed effort, rushed job, and no care or consideration was put into it. They were uneven, lumpy, and just so ugly. I texted David when we left and he said he would fix them, by fixing them all he did was just file them and that was that. Also if you complain about their work or openly say you want to be serviced by David only the other nail techs will openly talk smack about you. Like they make it so obvious too, you don't need to understand a language to pick up mannerisms, stares, and laughter at you. David is always late, texting him for an appointment means nothing because he is always servicing other clients when you get there so you're waiting regardless. I waited one time for so long that there was no time to get my nails done, he did give me a gift certificate but I do believe he upped the costs of my set to makeup for the money on the gift certificate. My last straw was when I took my sister to get her graduation nails done. I had texted him a picture showing him the set she wanted, I clearly said "how much for this exact set as in the photo?" He told me $60. When arrive there and he's late, we're waiting and waiting, we didn't catch him until we were literally walking out the door to leave. Once he's done he says it's $70, without even explaining why. I need to ask him why he's charging me extra. He says because the nail design photo had a line design and that's an extra $10. I told him that I asked for exactly what was shown in the photo, so wouldn't the $60 include that. He was so insistent that I was wrong and I didn't ask for the line design, that's why he asking for an extra $10. So his logic was to see the photo through text in its entirety, say it's $60, but in person somehow just get to work on the design without double checking then up the costs for no reasons. Like it was the SAME photo the whole time. We did not want anything added or taken away from the design. Just the design as it showed in the photo. It was the most simplest design too. I'm pretty sure he just charged the $10 to makeup for his tip because he probably felt like we weren't going to tip him for him being late. His work is beautiful but he is unprofessional as they come, there are so many more salons that actually value their customers, I would look into them before coming here. read more

Honestly I love this place ! I love the owner David he's wonderful & every one is so nice here. The vibes are great & looks clean. I'm giving 3 stars because I kept telling the person I wanted stiletto a few times. I told her I didn't want almond & I kept having to ask her to fix the shape. The nails are pretty, just not the shape I wanted. I had to ask her a few times to make them even as well. I just gave up saying anything. The red nails were the reference photo. I understand my nails a bit small, but the shape is still too round for me. Another reason is she was just a bit rough. She cut my finger & when filing or buffing them so rough. There was also tons of acrylic under my nails. I asked her to fix that and she only fixed 2 of them. Under my nails look so clumpy. It could be me though, maybe I should speak up more, but I shouldn't have to if I have a reference photo. I will def go back & learn to speak up. I honestly prefer David to do my nails but I understand he's busy. I just feel if some one gives you a reference photo it should work out better. read more

My first time to Luminous Nails. They did not disappoint. I requested appointment by sending message via Yelp in the early a.m- The response time was impressive, they responded same morning before they even opened and I was able to schedule appointment at 10:30am, same day. Off I went..location is in old town Glendora, perfectly inviting and lively salon, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Kimberly took amazing care of my nails. She did not rush thru each nail, she was attentive and she gave me exactly the color and tip I wanted. This salon definitely gets busy considering the time of day I was there , I highly suggest making appointment and not walking in. Another suggestion would be to request Kimberly. Her attention to detail and end results are on point. They also accept Venmo and Zelle! read more

The people that work there are very sweet very open and will do anything to make sure that you leave happy so with that being said if you don't like your results it's your decision weather to speak up about something you don't like or not it's your money your hands your time if you don't speak up about an issue there and then it's simply your fault if your not satisfied with your experience.
