Second time coming to this nail salon. First time I asked for dipping powder manicure. Which I received by nail tech Kim and she did a good job. My second visit, I needed. Dipping powder again, so I figured what would happen was they remove my current dipping color and give me a whole fresh new manicure. That didn't happen. I am not the one to make a fuss. But I did tell Kim I didn't want a Fill after she offered me a fill. Which to me having a fill done with an old dipping powder color set makes zero sense. Mind you. I am not using acrylic. I told her I did not want a fill and wanted my old dip powder removed. She ignored my request and gave me a fill and then covered it with white gel polish. Which I did not ask for. Now my nails are cracking and my real nail is beginning to separate from the original dip powder I had done weeks prior. I am upset. I will not be returning to an establishment that only gives you what they clearly prefer to do. And still charge you like they provided a whole new clean powder. They wanted to save on their powder probably but still charge me as though powder was provided. I just think this is important to mention. After two manicures here, I felt like something was off with my nails. During the application, I got a small cut on my cuticle because he was drilling so much there. He did not put cuticle remover or clean under my nails. While putting on the tips, he pushed them down really hard and it hurt. A couple of the tips don't fit from side to side. I requested gems to be added on my nails and some of them are crooked and there are blank spots where there are no gems. Such a great location in downtown Glendora. David is the best - he's so friendly and nice. So many great colors to pick from. They also have a lot of spa treatments- which is so cool. They close at 7P and the usually take me last minute which I appreciate. The pedicure stations are super comfortable and they also have massage settings. The quality of their work is A+ and they take great pride in their designs. I am so excited I found my spot out here! I really hate to do this, but I had my nails done here a few days ago. I asked for a simple mani pedi. Nothing fancy I just wanted my nails to look clean. Started off with a pedicure, which was ok, I thought the amount of paint being used up on my toes was a bit excessive, after the 9th coat of paint I was like ok that's way too much I hope they aren't charging per coat of nail polish. With the top clear coat it was a total of 10 coats. Then on to my nails, now I don't like to intervene in a persons work, so I kept my mouth shut. But once again, one, two three, four, 5 coats of gel nail polish. Gel, not including the first coat of clear polish placed at the beginning. And I noticed that the person doing my nails wasn't coating the edges of my nails on the sides, and it wasn't like a nice line that was painted. It was like a noticeable hole. And on some nails he would paint all the way up to the cuticle and others he would paint it 3/4ths of the way up leaving a big gap between the cuticle and the paint. On other nails he painted on the actual skin. The job looked bad. It looked like if my 2 year old niece went crazy on my nails. It was very disappointing. And when I told the guy about it he seemed upset. I wasn't rude, I wasn't a bitch. He asked me what I thought and I told him what happened and that I didn't like it. The nail polish, since so much was used, looked like it was bubbling up: I pointing out the places where he missed where there was no nail polish and the half nails he didn't paint to the cuticle and then the skin that was painted on. He then started taking it off with the dremel nail file which in some areas he cut my skin. He said " you don't like I'll fix." Normally I would have allowed him to fix the issue but he had already had me sitting in his chair for a little over 3 hours. For a simple mani pedi, I think that's too long. I had other things to do. Very disappointed. I had come here last year and thought that I had found my new go to place, but with this experience I do not wish to step foot in this establishment again. The guy, who seemed to me, to be the owner was nice enough to only charge me for the pedicure which looked awful as well. After waiting 5 hours to put my socks on, my socks still left indentations on the nail polish because so much of it was put on. To the ladies that like this place , keep going. Im only talking about my experience. I wouldn't come back here. And I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends after this experience. read more

I was charged $100 for press on nails.... yes, I was stunned... although I did get special designs, $100 is way out of how much it should have been. Especially as he nicked my skin and I still had dried blood walking out. Acrylic would make more sense, as you can get fills... but as happy as I was with these.. I doubt these will last as long. *Beware of up charging, bad customer service, late nail tech, and only ONE nail tech that can properly service you* This is MY experience, the last time I went was about a year ago so I'm hoping things improved since then but I will never return or spend my money here. I had first discovered this place on Yelp and loved the work so decided to do the trip and come here. My first nail set I had no issues. I loved it so much so that I had invited my mom to do a second trip with me so I can get her nails done. I texted David asking if he can do both our nails, he said yes. Unfortunately when we went my mom got placed with another nail tech. Her nails came out so shitty. Like half assed effort, rushed job, and no care or consideration was put into it. They were uneven, lumpy, and just so ugly. I texted David when we left and he said he would fix them, by fixing them all he did was just file them and that was that. Also if you complain about their work or openly say you want to be serviced by David only the other nail techs will openly talk smack about you. Like they make it so obvious too, you don't need to understand a language to pick up mannerisms, stares, and laughter at you. David is always late, texting him for an appointment means nothing because he is always servicing other clients when you get there so you're waiting regardless. I waited one time for so long that there was no time to get my nails done, he did give me a gift certificate but I do believe he upped the costs of my set to makeup for the money on the gift certificate. My last straw was when I took my sister to get her graduation nails done. I had texted him a picture showing him the set she wanted, I clearly said "how much for this exact set as in the photo?" He told me $60. When arrive there and he's late, we're waiting and waiting, we didn't catch him until we were literally walking out the door to leave. Once he's done he says it's $70, without even explaining why. I need to ask him why he's charging me extra. He says because the nail design photo had a line design and that's an extra $10. I told him that I asked for exactly what was shown in the photo, so wouldn't the $60 include that. He was so insistent that I was wrong and I didn't ask for the line design, that's why he asking for an extra $10. So his logic was to see the photo through text in its entirety, say it's $60, but in person somehow just get to work on the design without double checking then up the costs for no reasons. Like it was the SAME photo the whole time. We did not want anything added or taken away from the design. Just the design as it showed in the photo. It was the most simplest design too. I'm pretty sure he just charged the $10 to makeup for his tip because he probably felt like we weren't going to tip him for him being late. His work is beautiful but he is unprofessional as they come, there are so many more salons that actually value their customers, I would look into them before coming here. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because I kept telling the person I wanted stiletto a few times. I told her I didn't want almond & I kept having to ask her to fix the shape. The nails are pretty, just not the shape I wanted. I had to ask her a few times to make them even as well. I just gave up saying anything. The red nails were the reference photo. I understand my nails a bit small, but the shape is still too round for me. Another reason is she was just a bit rough. She cut my finger & when filing or buffing them so rough. There was also tons of acrylic under my nails. I asked her to fix that and she only fixed 2 of them. Under my nails look so clumpy. It could be me though, maybe I should speak up more, but I shouldn't have to if I have a reference photo. I will def go back & learn to speak up. We had a great experience here. They were all friendly and accommodating. At one point, when one hands was almost complete, I realized I really didn't like the color I picked and the stylist said it was no problem at all and he quickly changed without any issues. The massage chairs were nice and they took all 5 of us in. The only problem was when I called, they said they could do all of our nails at the same time but they only took 2 of us at a time and even took someone else who walked in while a couple of us were waiting.
