Gorgeous nails has been in San Dimas for a long time but recently changed hands. It was purchased from Nancy and now under new ownership. I called ahead to make sure it wasn't too busy, a man answered and told me to come in at 1. When I arrived I was surprised there was not one single customer. I also was shocked to see the place has had a serious face lift. First thing I noticed was how clean and bright it is now. New chairs, tables, reception area and the AC is running and cold inside. It used to dull, dingy and it was always hot inside. Lisa did my pedicure and did a fantastic job, I broke my foot a few months ago and was nervous about having my foot worked on but I told her in advance and she was very gentle and understanding. She worked on my toes, removed basic calluses and did a foot and leg massage for $42 before tip. I highly recommend this place! read more

I look forward to getting my nails done on a regular basis. I look for a place that has a good selection of colors and designs. Gorgeous Nails is a friendly place, one day the owner gave me a little red envelope gift for Chinese New Year, which was very thoughtful. It's also important that they have a minimum of three employees, otherwise the wait time is too long. I am pleased that this location has an average of 4 or 5 employees, that really does speed the process along. This is a good neighborhood salon with ample parking and easy to locate in a small shopping center. The only drawback is only two employees that can create custom designs, but they are not always available when I go in. I will continue to patronize this establishment as they are friendly and reasonably priced. Try them and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya! read more

This place has really gotten an upgrade from the inside! I got a gel pedicure which was $38 ( a little pricier than I wanted) but the service was really good! There were no mistakes and when there was one they were quick to correct it without me asking. They nicked my toe a little bit to where it looked a little red but I didn't get an infection after which was my biggest concern with nail places that aren't clean. I don't normally write reviews, but I was really disappointed with my experience here. I asked for pink to white ombré gel, and they did their best, but it kept turning out streaky/blotchy. I showed a picture and asked them to blend it more, but unfortunately the final product was still very unblended (first two pictures) even after being there for 2 hours :( The staff was very nice and receptive to feedback, which was great, but I still ended up getting charged full price/asked to tip. they are really nice here and if you're looking for a straightforward full set they deliver on that. This is my favorite nail salon in the area. Kim is wonderful! She instantly makes you feel like you've known each other a lifetime. She has lead an interesting life! I have usually been the 'read a book or watch shows on my phone' type of customer in the past until I started coming here. I do not have pretty feet (former figure skater/dancer) and she somehow makes them look nice! Also, I have psoriasis & my rt thumb nail is ugly. In the past techs have made me feel like dirt bc of it, but Kim brushes it off since she understands is isn't something that will make anyone else sick. She is so warm and always does a beautiful job that lasts a while on my thin nails. Typically they chip in a day or so when I do it, but with her doing it, I get almost a week with out chipping! Buyer beware! First off ... the first time I came in here I came for a mani pedi and got shorted on a full manicure by the lady skipping my hand massage . Another customer walked in and said she need quick service because she was on her lunch break so right when the lady was starting my hand massage she stopped ,grabbed the hot towel , and just skipped it all together to fit the extra client in while shorting me ( the current client) . I asked her if there manicures just don't include it and she began to lie straight to my face saying, " I did it that's why I gave the hot towel to wipe your hands off!" . I was astonished at how she was treating me as a new client. Shorting me service and now treating me like a complete fool. I go in their another time deciding first impressions aren't always the best for some businesses maybe I'll get better service by someone else who works there. Nope! This time I get totally ripped off. Twenty dollars for gel polish no manicure! She tried to tell me "well a manicure is $14 no $12 ( couldn't even get her prices right while defending them) and with gel is $26." Im saying that still doesn't add up . So with a a manicure service gel polish costs $14 ?! Which is $2 more than a full service manicure?! Sine when is polish more than a manicure?! But even that being said they charged me $20 that's $6 more ! And to top it off the lady took forever doing the gel polish! Constantly correcting. I wanted a quick polish with gel and instead got a long drawn out gel polish that I could get at a cute boutique place for that price and much faster. P.s The customers that were there were also very loud mouthed and cursing. This was definitely not my cup of tea and although I like to support local business . So bummed I didn't get to try this place out! Their work might be nice but the way they run a business is horrible. I made an appointment for 10am and arrived a little early. At 10 they told me it would be a 20 min wait. 25 mins later after seating people who the main lady in charge already knew, ahead of me, she asks this young man who just walked into the salon to start on me. He tells me that he isn't "able" to do what I asked which was a dip with tip almond shaped. Can't do it?? I have never heard of that at any salon. Meanwhile the main lady in charge keeps insisting that he do it so he turns to me and asks if I mind?? At this point I say no thank you and walk out. Who knows if that guy was even licensed.
