I look forward to getting my nails done on a regular basis. I look for a place that has a good selection of colors and designs. Gorgeous Nails is a friendly place, one day the owner gave me a little red envelope gift for Chinese New Year, which was very thoughtful. It's also important that they have a minimum of three employees, otherwise the wait time is too long. I am pleased that this location has an average of 4 or 5 employees, that really does speed the process along. This is a good neighborhood salon with ample parking and easy to locate in a small shopping center. The only drawback is only two employees that can create custom designs, but they are not always available when I go in. I will continue to patronize this establishment as they are friendly and reasonably priced. Try them and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya! read more

I'm so in love with this gel-x set! I got them done by Nancy, and she was super detail-oriented and efficient when doing them. She was also willing to test out different designs (e.g. gem placements) to see what I would like and gave me her personal recommendations as well, truly going the extra mile for her clients :) With me being a rather indecisive person, it was sooo nice to have a patient and kind nail tech. This place has really gotten an upgrade from the inside! I got a gel pedicure which was $38 ( a little pricier than I wanted) but the service was really good! There were no mistakes and when there was one they were quick to correct it without me asking. They nicked my toe a little bit to where it looked a little red but I didn't get an infection after which was my biggest concern with nail places that aren't clean. I don't normally write reviews, but I was really disappointed with my experience here. I asked for pink to white ombré gel, and they did their best, but it kept turning out streaky/blotchy. I showed a picture and asked them to blend it more, but unfortunately the final product was still very unblended (first two pictures) even after being there for 2 hours :( The staff was very nice and receptive to feedback, which was great, but I still ended up getting charged full price/asked to tip. they are really nice here and if you're looking for a straightforward full set they deliver on that. I wouldn't go here for any crazy nail art but they are great otherwise. the only reason I gave 4 stars is because I was quoted one thing over the phone and it ended up being more when I paid. This is my favorite nail salon in the area. Kim is wonderful! She instantly makes you feel like you've known each other a lifetime. She has lead an interesting life! I have usually been the 'read a book or watch shows on my phone' type of customer in the past until I started coming here. I do not have pretty feet (former figure skater/dancer) and she somehow makes them look nice! Also, I have psoriasis & my rt thumb nail is ugly. In the past techs have made me feel like dirt bc of it, but Kim brushes it off since she understands is isn't something that will make anyone else sick. She is so warm and always does a beautiful job that lasts a while on my thin nails. Typically they chip in a day or so when I do it, but with her doing it, I get almost a week with out chipping! It isn't the fanciest looking salon, but I will come here any day I can over the fancier ones! I highly recommend! read more

Buyer beware! First off ... the first time I came in here I came for a mani pedi and got shorted on a full manicure by the lady skipping my hand massage . Another customer walked in and said she need quick service because she was on her lunch break so right when the lady was starting my hand massage she stopped ,grabbed the hot towel , and just skipped it all together to fit the extra client in while shorting me ( the current client) . I asked her if there manicures just don't include it and she began to lie straight to my face saying, " I did it that's why I gave the hot towel to wipe your hands off!" . I was astonished at how she was treating me as a new client. Shorting me service and now treating me like a complete fool. I go in their another time deciding first impressions aren't always the best for some businesses maybe I'll get better service by someone else who works there. Nope! This time I get totally ripped off. Twenty dollars for gel polish no manicure! She tried to tell me "well a manicure is $14 no $12 ( couldn't even get her prices right while defending them) and with gel is $26." Im saying that still doesn't add up . So with a a manicure service gel polish costs $14 ?! Which is $2 more than a full service manicure?! Sine when is polish more than a manicure?! But even that being said they charged me $20 that's $6 more ! And to top it off the lady took forever doing the gel polish! Constantly correcting. I wanted a quick polish with gel and instead got a long drawn out gel polish that I could get at a cute boutique place for that price and much faster. P.s The customers that were there were also very loud mouthed and cursing. This was definitely not my cup of tea and although I like to support local business . So bummed I didn't get to try this place out! Their work might be nice but the way they run a business is horrible. I made an appointment for 10am and arrived a little early. At 10 they told me it would be a 20 min wait. 25 mins later after seating people who the main lady in charge already knew, ahead of me, she asks this young man who just walked into the salon to start on me. He tells me that he isn't "able" to do what I asked which was a dip with tip almond shaped. Can't do it?? I have never heard of that at any salon. Meanwhile the main lady in charge keeps insisting that he do it so he turns to me and asks if I mind?? At this point I say no thank you and walk out. Who knows if that guy was even licensed. I went to this place for the first time to check it out. It had 4/5 stars, so I thought it would be fine. The staff there was nice, but the pedicure was not good. First, she didn't ask me what I wanted. She just went right into it and started cutting my toenail down on the sides as if I had an ingrown toenail. Which I don't! She made me bleed. She also did not use fresh tools. She opened up her toolbox and grabbed what she had there. I could see she had sealed clean tools, but why did she choose the ones that were not open to work on my feet? She did ask me if I was okay after she realized she made me bleed on the toe. I then asked for the callus removal for my hard heels. She busted out a cheese grater to work on my heels. Like a kitchen-grade cheese grater. In all the places I've been to, never has that tool come out. It is 100% illegal to use in CA. She jumped right in and started working on my foot with a cheese grater. She would then stop and rested it on her dirty cart. I asked her to stop and not use it on my other foot. The other employee said, "if you want callus removal, that's the tool!" And I said, "No, I do not want that tool. It's illegal to use" Which I don't think they heard me because instead, they offered another type of cheese grater. They then offered another to use a pumice stone soap thing. Again, is that sanitary? How often has it been used on other people before?! She finished up and I just sat there anxious to leave. I saw her take the cheese grater, wash it with water at the sink, and then dry it off. I saw her later walk it over to another customer and started using it. I was mortified. I don't think it was disinfected. As soon as my toes were dry, I paid and left. I never leave reviews, but this place needs a review to warn other customers. read more
