I have tried other spas since moving away and not one has left me feeling happy with my service nor the results. I left with my face *GLOWING* and my facial discoloration was gone. Linda was thorough with every nook and cranny of all the knots I didn't even know I had in my back. I just went in asking for a shoulder massage but I'm glad I ended up choosing the back massage. I like that they give you a private room with soft music and dim lighting. The other place I used to go to doesn't give you a private room for a foot massage, so this was a step up. Chen gave me my massage, and he's great. He has a polite, pleasant, and gentle manner about him that made me feel welcome and comfortable. He would often check if I was feeling ok, if the pressure was ok, if I needed water, etc. His massage was just right. Request him if you can. Afterward I felt so relaxed and loosened up. Upon arriving at the front desk, they give you a spa outfit, some towels, and a wristband. The wristband unlocks your shoe locker and your separate clothing locker. The hot tub area is fully nude whereas the common areas are clothed. I went to grab some dinner and had the croaker fish. The service was fast and easy. The food is a little pricey but their meals came with a lot of bonchon so it made up for the cost! After dinner, I checked out the charcoal room, ice room and salt room. All the rooms were clean and had plenty of space for relaxing! Finally, I had a body scrub appointment at 8pm. I booked the scrub with Jenny and it was an experience! For those who never had a korean body scrub before, you have to soak in the hot tub for 20-30 mins. Then your masseuse will call your name and bring you in the side room. Then you lie on your back on the table and get the ultimate scrub down! I felt so much lighter after the scrub. My skin tone was even and felt baby soft. Then she also give you a cucumber facial and wash your hair for you! My hair was super silky and smooth. They have dyson hair dryers in the women locker rooms which made it easy for me to get ready. The staff is very friendly and informative and the venue is very quaint and has advisory signs to keep the volume low to respect the other guests getting their services. If you opt for the combination you get placed in the front area with the privacy curtain so they can soak your feet. The private rooms in the back are for body massages only. There are lockers to hold your belongings and at the end they will give you water or tea. I signed up for the annual membership so I can't wait to return every month! He concentrated on all of my problem areas and I felt happy and relaxed afterwards. The quiet room is clean and comfy and I was given a tasty little fruit cup. Now the bad: The price for a massage is reasonable, but you must pay an additional 39.00 if you want a to use their lockers or robe, take a shower or use the jacuzzi. This was unexpected and confusing. Before arriving, I had called for clarification of this policy and was only told that they would charge 39.00 for use of the jacuzzi. I had no idea that I wouldn't be given a robe or allowed to shower without paying the extra fee. I'm in a spa club and I have never run into this issue before. This confusion may have been due to a language barrier. The shower area has a sign saying that you must run the hot water for 10-15 minutes to obtain hot water (!). I did so and still had to take a cold shower because the water never got hot. The only towels available are very small and very thin. They are not large enough to wrap around your body. The jacuzzi area shows deferred maintenance with broken tile, missing robe hooks and mold/mildew on the ceiling between the jacuzzi and the showers (ick). This is a nice facility, but the policies are confusing and it's sadly lacking in general upkeep. (See pics)
