This was my first time visiting this nail salon, and unfortunately it was not a good experience. My nail technician, an older Vietnamese woman who I believe was named Nancy, was speaking negatively about me to a coworker during my service. She did not realize that I speak Vietnamese, so I understood everything being said. The situation made me very uncomfortable and felt extremely unprofessional. Despite this, I still left a tip, and she proceeded to comment on the amount, which only added to the disrespect. When I said goodbye to her in Vietnamese and let her know that I understood the conversation, it was clear she had not expected that. Professionalism and respect should be a given in any service environment, and it's definitely lacking here. I will not be returning. Zero Stars! Came to get a pedicure with my bestie and the service was terrible. I got a deluxe pedicure only and when my tech massaged my leg, she only massaged one spot. I literally had to rotate my own leg for her to shift. The kicker was the $5 fee for the tub liner. Yes, the plastic bag that's required to place in the tub where you put your feet in to! I went in this morning to get a French tip gel pedicure. I literally haven't done anything that would cause damage to my nail. The paint is literally peeling off already only 12 hours later. I was charged full price even though I did not want them to massage me due to an injury I have. So over all I paid 85 plus 15 for tip. I am so disappointed with this service I would not recommend coming here. They do not use quality gel. I wish I would have seen the reviews before I spent all of this money. Side note... the salon is hot they do not use air conditioning and flies are lingering the entire time. Update: they say the Uv light did not reach the small toe correct, but that does not explain why my other toes have the paint already lifting?? I do not live In the immediate area so coming back is not an option. It seems that everyone has a similar issue with this salon and their managements responses being completely unprofessional and petty. these replies from the business are embarrassing to be honest and do nothing to rectify the issue seeing as we would be going back to receive the same poor quality service. I will just have to count this as a loss. the paint is chipping on both feet! It has nothing to do with the bending of my leg. I've been coming to Jojo Nails for years, always scheduling my appointments with Tom because of his professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been incredibly frustrating. In November, I booked with Tom as usual, but when I arrived, I was informed that he had "just left due to an emergency." The same thing happened the following month--another appointment booked with Tom, and another story about an "emergency" when I arrived. It felt suspicious, especially since I know others who also see Tom, mentioned they were told the same thing. It's obvious that Tom no longer works at Jojo Nails and instead of telling us that, they're lying to us. While I understand the desire to retain business, the dishonesty is unacceptable. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, the response was rude and dismissive. This behavior reflects poorly on the salon's management. After years of loyalty, this experience has completely shattered my trust in Jojo Nails. Deceiving customers and treating them so poorly is not the way to maintain a successful business. I really wanted to love this place after reading all the positive reviews. I had a Gel-X set and a gel pedicure. The staff was very friendly, but the standout was Christy--she gave me an amazing pedicure and an incredible massage. The Gel-X set looked great, but after just three days, one of the nails popped off. I called to get it fixed, and when I asked if I could come in right away, they asked who had done the set and then told me I'd need to wait another day until that person was back at work. I wasn't about to go around with only nine nails for another day, so I insisted on coming in sooner. When I arrived, I could tell they were reluctant to help, and they kept asking for the name of the nail color. I told them I didn't know, as the staff had picked the colors for me, but they continued to press me. If looks could kill, I'd be dead. Eventually, a different technician took care of it. She was kind, and she reattached the nail. Now, eight days later, two more nails have already started lifting from the base. The Gel-X set was $90, so while the work was ok, it didn't last as long as I expected. I also had my upper lip waxed, but the technician cut me right under my nose. Overall, I had high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive as I'd hoped. read more

I've always called in the AM to make an appointment and have not run into any issues yet. Katie is very detail oriented and efficient. She's been doing my dip manicures (I highly recommend over other options; people are worried about cleanliness of multiple fingers dipped in the pot? I came in to get my legs waxed for the first time & a pedicure. When booking the appt on the phone I mentioned waxing and pedicure. When checking in to the salon I again said pedicure and leg wax. They proceeded with the pedicure and when it came to putting lotion on, I mentioned again I was getting my legs waxed. The nail tech seemed annoyed and rubbed the lotion off as best she could. She mentioned that I need to be careful when getting waxed because I didn't have gel nail on my feet. Felt much like she was saying she will not fix it if I ruin the polish. I had to use the restroom before going to get my legs waxed. When asking where it was the nail tech and the lady who wax's seemed annoyed. (I didn't get anyone's name) One of the lady's physically grabbed my arm to help me out of the pedicure chair. She was aggressive and I pulled my arm back telling her "I've got it". Once in the waxing room the lady was giving rushed and annoyed vibes. I tried making small talk but she seemed too bothered. This was my first time waxing ever and I wasn't sure what to expect. At first it was okay, didn't hurt as much as I thought. But then the wax kept getting hotter and hotter. I told her multiple times it was too hot. She just blew on the wax before putting it on my leg. It was drop off the stick and onto my other leg. It was hot. She just kept saying the whole time that my leg hairs were too thick and growing different directions. I kept saying I was sorry. About 30 minutes in a coworker comes to talk through the door. The lady who was waxing said her coworker said why is it taking so long and she said because my leg hairs are too thick and grow in different directions. I felt weird. I don't choose the way my leg hairs grow or the thickness of them. The waxing hurt sooooo bad. I wanted to call it quits. But I had a vacation coming up and just pushed through the pain. Once we were finished I had wax still on my legs and my sandals. She said to go home and take a shower. I walked out behind her after we were done. She was talking in her language and everyone was laughing. Could have been nothing, could have been something. But the way she was moving her arms, I could tell she was talking about my leg hairs. It literally felt like all the staff were laughing at me. My legs were burning and red as hell. Once I got home I checked my legs and noticed she didn't even get all of the hair! All that pain to still have spots of hair. Crazy. 2 weeks later and I am stuck with spots on my legs. As if my skin was ripped off or burned from the hot wax. My legs were never discolored the way they are now. Please don't get your body waxed here. Horrible experience. read more

I randomly walked in for a pedicure. On the bougie side for a nail salon. I had a good experience but they are a bit pricey. The basic pedicure was 35. I opted for the "6 step" one and it was 55. Pedicurist convinced me to do gel, extra 15. (Wouldn't take no for an answer) Plus 10.00 for tip, I dropped 80 bucks on my feet. If you don't mind spending the $$$ it's not bad. They did an okay job. Ps: 2.00 service fee if you use credit or debit..... anytime I see that, it's a money making scheme. They maybe pay 25 cents per transaction swiped, so if they can't front that cost and charge 2 bucks- that should be your red flag there. read more

However, during my most recent appointment, I arrived only to be told that Tom was unavailable due to an emergency. While I understand that emergencies happen, the same thing had happened to five of my friends over weeks--each time Jojo's scheduled them with Tom, assured them he was available, and then claimed at the last minute that he couldn't make it due to an "emergency." It's clear that Tom no longer works there, and Jojo's is misleading customers by pretending otherwise. I've been coming to Jojos for almost a year. I initially would get my nails done by Lina but since she's left the salon I've been going to a different technician in the salon. I don't want to mention her name because I do love her work and she's super sweet but unfortunately on my last visit for a fill with this different tech on November 25th I noticed a greenie, she removed the existing nail extension and replaced with a new one considering the green area was almost grown out. So in December instead of getting another fill, I opted to remove my nail set at home with plans of scheduling an appointment for a new set. Upon removal I now have a total of 3 nails with greenies. One nail, I could get past but to now have additional nails become green after my last fill I unfortunately will no longer get my nails done at this salon. read more

On this visit, I was lucky to have a day off, which made for a "walk - in " appointment for me and my daughter. First time getting my nails done here and will be my last. My husband had planned a relaxing mani-pedi for me. He chose this place for its beautiful interior and complimentary drinks. Upon getting situated, I wasn't offered any kind of drink and didn't see anyone with one so not sure if that's still a thing they do. I was assigned two technicians simultaneously, one for my mani and the other for my pedi. The pedicurist was pleasant, but the manicurist was incredibly rude for no apparent reason. It started when I chose my nail color. She returned and informed me that they didn't have it anymore. I selected a second color, a blue, and noticed she brought back a pink polish. Confused, I told her I chose a blue color, but she insisted and said, "NO. THIS IS WHAT YOU CHOSE!" and aggressively kept pointing at the polish number. I was confused so she brought the nail palette back. She realized she was looking at the number below the color I had chosen and was annoyed for having to walk back and forth. She then proceeded to show me the new color, which was a gray shade instead of blue. I kindly asked to change it, but she looked annoyed again. But why? Isn't this basic customer service? While I was preoccupied as the pedicurist asked me to adjust my feet, the manicurist began tapping my hand and rudely raised her voice, saying, "Hello?! Hello?!" since I wasn't paying attention to switch my hand under the LED lamp.... Seriously? Towards the end, the manicurist reminded me AGAIN that she had to change the polish colors 3 times. Wow..
