I got Helen who is so sweet and kind, she genuinely cares about making sure you are happy with the shape, length, color/designs that she does for you. This salon has a ton of talent and capabilities even though it may seem like a normal salon, they are not! They gave me chrome nails, which I have searched high and low for and no one would do them. They do mermaid nails and opal nails and polarized! Very excited to have found this place, especially since it's closer to my house than my last salon. **I came back for my second visit today 12/11 and had my appt with Helen. She did a xmas tree cutout design on my nails and when I wanted to change the color, she gladly redid my gel for me and told me not to feel bad. I really appreciated it! Very disappointing experience. The male tech who did my acrylic set (I believe his name was Tommy) was rude the entire time. When he finished, he didn't say anything -- he just walked away. I sat there confused until one of the female techs told me he was done and rushed me to pay. Sanitation was concerning. Tools and nail files appeared to be reused, I didn't see proper disinfecting, and my cuticles weren't even cleaned up before applying acrylic. Within just a few days, my nails started lifting because the acrylic was flooded into my cuticles instead of being applied properly. That's basic technique and should not happen with a full set. To make it worse, when I asked to leave a $10 tip, they entered $20 instead. Completely unacceptable. I will not be returning. read more

I had a horrible experience with my nails! I walked in asking if the nail tech can try and do a set of nails like the picture I showed . She said absolutely ! They were nothing like what I expected. The quality was terrible the nails I got were by far the ugliest nails I've ever had, and the service was lackluster. I was absolutely in shock when she said she was done as I had nail polish all over my finger the acrylic was so thick I'm so devastated. Save your time and money! This place is AWFUL ! I went in on Sunday around 440 pm first thing I asked was if they were still open since it looked like they were about to head out. Their hours say 7 pm and according to them it was fine. Once I sat down it was a rush. Once the lady was done with my pedicure she started closing down the windows grabbed her purse and was pretty much rushing out. So I grabbed my own sandals to put them on and another lady stops me and puts them on. My toes pretty much smeared and the other lady thankfully fixed it. My experience was horrible as I felt rushed the whole time. I could have understood if they would have told me they We're closing as I came in, but to say their open and rush me out of there was not professional from their part! I normally don't write bad reviews, but their customer service is the WORST I EVER HAD! So it was a MUST!!! Ok I asked Tommy (the only male in there) can he redo my nail and make the design thinner.. he threw the brush across the floor because he was so pissed that he had to redo ONE NAIL! Then they speak in Vietnamese and are always laughing making people feel uncomfortable! Oh and just to let you guys know.. they have a lot of flies and last time I went they had a few baby roaches on the side of the massage chairs where you sit and get a pedicure, very unsanitary !!and if I were you love I wouldn't even waste my time nor money on this unprofessional business!! I proceeded to pick 2 colors and glitter (all 3 gel). All he kept saying was it was $3.00 extra, which I don't care lol . Very disappointed, my first time here and I thought I was gonna walk out a happy customer, but I wasn't happy with my nails at all. Got a Gel coffin style French tip in brown.The lines weren't great and had to ask a few time to fix them. Even had to ask for another coat cause u can clearly see threw the color. Had walked in around 3, got home a few hrs later to wash my face and notice I had polish on my finger. My nails weren't sealed right or just to thick and not sealed. I'd give them zero stars if I could. The woman (who I believe is the owner) likes to change the prices when I'm at the register and ready to pay. She's done this to me twice. She changed the price (with a black marker) of a gel pedi right WhenI was at the register. I told her no, bc I saw what it was beforehand. Just recently at the register she tried to charge me $2 for gel removal from a pedi I had done there a few weeks prior. She wanted to charge for a gel polish removal product that the technician didn't even use. The technician used the electrical filer. I was not advised of the charge prior or during pedi, nor was it posted anywhere in the salon. read more

Hit or miss nail salons are unacceptable (which is a shame!) my nails say it all. 1. While removing my old gel, she left the acetone/foil on my nails for MAYBE 2 min then scrapped the hell out of my real nails!! 2. V asked if I wanted my nails cut and I said "no, just file a little but please keep them long." She filed my thumb nail down to my skin while the other remained long. She did this before in the past except she filed ALL of my nails all the way down!! (Don't ask why I came back after that, I was very upset) 3. The last visit, I was with my mother and sister, my mom sat in the pedi chair with her feet in water for 45 min (with an appointment!!!!!) while they took a walk in. 4. I once walked in and asked how long the wait was for a mani/pedi. Vivian told me 5 minutes. Put me in a pedi chair and instead of telling me to come back, (I swear to ) I waited in the chair for an hour and 15 minutes. Too many mess ups with me, sorry, I won't be returning. read more

I was loving it here and a regular of Vivian's for a couple of years now. Unfortunately...like some other places I have been? The quality of things changed once you become a regular. Vivian is sweet, and When I first started coming the service was thorough and not rushed or distracted. My nails used to last 2 weeks as promised, since I get acrylic powder over my natural nails AND gel polish. Lately I have noticed all of that changed. The last few times that both me, and some family members who I've referred have been coming; things have not been as great. We've all felt the service has been half hearted, rushed, and I've been needing a repair a few days later on a regular basis. I've been coming here for a while now, but unfortunately I have to find a new place. It sucks to feel like your business is unappreciated once they have you as a regular, by having a so so job rushed on so they can fill in more spaces and accommodate every walk in "it'll be 15 minutes" even though they just started you. I went in almost 2 weeks ago to get a fill and a gel Mani/pedi (which...the pedicure fell apart already) before vacation. A few days later, my nails fell apart and I had to get them re-done on my trip! They also did a funky job...so I came back to Vivian after my vacation to get them done the way I like that she does them--to get designs; and it broke again the next day! I was upset! so I went back the next day AGAIN to get it fixed (yesterday-1 day after) and guess what? The guy who helped fix it rushed it along and my nail broke AGAIN today!!!! I don't have time to get my nails done or repaired every few days. I literally woke up after they repair them and one was broken. I wasn't even doing anything. My nails are also short, this shouldn't happen. So... Even though I do like the end result immediately after (only with Vivian. Everyone else doesn't do a good job I'm sorry) I do not like the quality of them breaking, lifting or being rushed anymore. Even though the example of a photo I am posting is a small break....it's always how it starts until more lifting occurs. This is after 2 repairs in a row in 2 days in a row. read more

I left with half ass painted acrylic nails, and they cut my toenails wayyy to short. They were rushing the whole time, hence the reason why I left with such a terrible paint job. I've been coming here for over 2 years and I think I'm calling it quits now. They've been slowly going down hill. Raised there prices over the last year. Went to get a full set today and I asked to get a manicure also. I wanted the manicure specifically to have my cuticles trimmed. At first I asked the nail tech to do the cuticle trim before doing the full set. He told me no and that it would get messed up if I did. I asked him to do it because I didn't want a gap between my nail/nail polish and my finger. He assured me there would be no gap. I want my nails to last longer. If there's a gap I have to get a fill sooner. I paid extra for the manicure with cuticle removal and there's definitely a gap on EVERY single nail. I'm not happy with them at all. read more

Okay, so.. After my last review, I was contacted by Vivian who was super sweet and offered to fix my nails for me, free of charge. I of course took her up on her offer because I simply could not look at my nails any longer.. I get there and asked for Vivian. She greeted me, had me pick my colors, and apologized. She told me that the reason the gel top coat was applied is because in the cold weather the SNS does not dry properly. I told her that was fine, but I was in no rush and to please not use it on me, that day, or ever. Lol. So she did my nails and I am so glad that she did! She is so good and meticulous! She carefully filed and buffed and applied layer by layer with precise intent. She really cares about what you want and giving you great, quality nails. Redemption achieved. I stumbled upon this place earlier this evening after I'd been waiting for what seemed like forever at another salon. Keep in mind that I'd had an appointment at the previous salon just down the street and they kept me waiting for about 20 min... Ridiculous!! I didn't want to give them my business so I looked up the closest salon on Yelp and found 3D Nails! I waked in with no appointment and was seated immediately. I was hesitant to give my guy, Tommy, the designs that I'd wanted because I knew they were kind of complicated. He told me that he'd be able to do then so I crossed my fingers and hoped that he wasn't bluffing. Well, he wasn't, because my nails came out AMAZING!! Of course I was nervous, however she tried calming me and was as gentle as possible. I was very happy with my new clean hairline.
