They were nice to let me know that they only except cash and though they were busy, they worked around it and took care of me. The ladies were fast, amazing, and did an amazing job. Came here because my regular place was closed. This place is no-frills. They don't have spa chairs or fancy decor, but it's clean and I really liked the result of my gel mani and regular pedi. I brought my own OPI gel and regular polish, but they did seem to have a large assortment of gel polish. Their regular polish wasn't anything amazing. I saw a few Essie polishes and a few OPI. But again I brought my own so I wasn't really paying close attention to their selection. Tina did my mani. She was quiet. Someone else called her rude in another review. I didn't think she was rude. Just didn't talk much probably because of a language barrier. She left me to start another lady's mani and a guy (didn't catch his name) finished the polish. I can see how some people may get upset by this but I didn't care because the guy who finished me off did a good job. I didn't catch the name of the lady who did my pedi. She was chatting on the phone with someone while working on my feet. I guess some people might say that's rude, but I didn't care because she took her time on my pedi and did a good job. I've lived in the area for 3 years & I just found this little gem of Azusa! I wish I had found Lucky Nails earlier! I came in on a Wednesday around noon for a regular manicure. Everyone was busy with customers but I was reassured it would only be about a 10 minute wait, so I just spent that time looking at colors. Denny took care of my manicure & he is the sweetest! From the conversations going on around me, it seemed all of the customers were well-accustomed to the nail techs, & everyone was pleasant. Denny did a great job with my nails & we had a great conversation all the while. He truly seems like an earnest, hardworking, & kind man. The place itself is pretty old fashion, but it is clean & well-kept & everything works great! It was only $10 for my manicure, & I was quite impressed! Will be coming back again! Wow, what a lovely operation. I called and was given a time to arrive. Everyone was ready and I was impressed with the cleanliness and hand wash/hot towel protocol. Regular manicure/pedicure seems to be a thing of the past after gel etc.... However, this team took careful focus on providing detailed work. The nail polish application was ruined because I rushed out and when I called to inform them I was told they would fix the nails. I was not made to feel bad about my error but instead inspired by their added effort to wait for my nails to dry completely. I would highly recommend Lucky Nails. I visited this salon yesterday and was very pleased with the staff and the excellent service I received. I called on a whim, not thinking I would be able to be seen the same day, but Danny was very accommodating. I was able to get an appointment in half an hour. I was especially pleased that immediately on entering, customers are directed to wash their hands and nice hot towels are provided for use after washing. It gave me a sense of comfort to see their efforts to create a safe and clean environment. I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Tina did an excellent job on the gel manicure. I was sitting in my class at Citrus College looking down at my fingernails lamenting about how horrible they looked. I had needed to get them done for a couple of weeks now but didn't really have it in my budget to go ahead and get them done. I couldn't justify the cost. the last time I had gotten my nails done I had paid $45 for just the manicure + gel alone and they had done a horrible job. I was borderline traumatized. by the end of class I had been staring at my nails for long enough that I had become desperate to just yelp around the area and see what there was. I found this place and the reviews looked okay so I decided to just do it. walking in, I was told it was cash only. I looked in my wallet, looked at the prices, and lo and behold, I had JUST enough for the services (mani/gel + pedi) + tip. I took that as a sign and hoped the quality would be better than my last experience. I walked out with GORGEOUS nails and a huge smile on my face. I paid nearly half of what I usually pay with DOUBLE the quality of what I'm accustomed to. everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. the salon was clean and I felt comfortable.
