Very happy with my powder dip manicure from Tip N Toe! This was my first visit - I needed to re-do my previous powder dip nails that had grown out (which I had done at a spa day while visiting family out of state). I had an appointment & was seated right away. They were very friendly & I felt like I was in good hands. I'm very happy with my nails & the price was quite reasonable at $33 for removing the old dip color, manicure, & application of new dip color. I will note that it is CASH ONLY - which I didn't know when I went in & hadn't seen any info about here on Yelp or signage in the shop. The only reason why I'm rating a 3-star is because they charge $6 extra to cut your cuticles. It's not included in the manicure or pedicure. I usually travel to my usual spot in Pasadena but decided to try this salon out since I literally live down the street. Few things that stand out 1. They don't over cut your toes nails where you get ingrown toenails. This is huge because the owner told me my nails had been cut wrong for years. I didn't believe her and a month after my pedicure, my nails were not cutting into my skin. 2. They don't do the annoying chit chat-- the husband/wife team are polite and make polite conversation which makes for a very nice experience because sometimes I don't want to talk while getting pampered. 3. This place is SO CLEAN. New chairs, clean floor and new appliances. I am always Leary of getting nail fungus at sketch nail places and I don't get worried here. 4. They have number coded nail colors and swatches...an OCD person's dream. My old place used to say, choose a color, and I would be wandering around looking at mix matched colors which took forever. They have nail swatches that match the number on the wall and all the colors are in hue rainbow...fist pump! Definitely would recommend this place and make an appointment because they always take their appointments first. read more
