The service was excellent! we ordered our pizza and got it suoer quick! The pizza was pretty, not NYC style pizza. However, if youre looking for a quick slice, this is it! A little greasy, but pretty good.

We like to eat at local places when we travel. We went here during the off season, so they weren't busy at all. It's a nice little pizza joint. They also offer Strombolis, subs, a couple of salads, wings, and what they refer to as Scooby Snacks which are mozzarella sticks, onion straws, basket of fries, stuffed jalapeños, and even chicken tenders, just to name a few. They only offer soda in cans and beer in bottles. They offer two different wines by the glass and have a couple of mixed drink options. We ordered a couple of pizzas and cans of soda. The pizzas were good. We'd eat here again if we come back down.

We arrived late afternoon so no wait inside. You seat yourself and order from the counter. We ordered the 14" Pepperoni, meatball sub, & Buffalo wings. They only offer can beverages or tea on tap. The food came out super fast. Everything was pretty tasty. The wings could have been crispier imo, but my wife loved them. A nice gentleman (assuming the owner) came to check on us and was really friendly! We'll be back. Check them out!

Not a huge fan of this pizza place. We ordered a garlic white sauce pizza and I swear there was no sauce. They also messed up one of the pizzas with a topping. It was about $20 per pizza and they do not do delivery. Will go somewhere new next time.

This is a go-to must have every time we visit OBX. The staff is amazing and kind. My service dog was welcomed. We typically will eat a pizza there and take one to-go for a late night snack. Pizza is excellent fresh and reheated. Very family friendly establishment. Highly recommend.

If I went by myself I'd give a one star review however.. Family enjoyed the wings and fries Pizza was on par with Chuckie E. Cheese but it was enjoyed The Philly Chicken was the worst chicken Philly I've ever had. I'm guessing it was the Italian dressing that assisted with the food falling out of the bottom. The paper in the basket ended up falling apart and I'm sure it ended up in my meal. The sandwich overall tasted ok, didn't end up tasting like a normal chicken Philly because of the intense amount of Italian dressing (if you must order, order w/o the dressing) As for the service, ambiance and customer service Restaurant is in dire need of an upgrade. Ceiling has mold in some spots (or it's from just being wet), carpet needs to be replaced and the sticky bar wasn't pleasant. This isn't the type of place you'd come and have a drink at the bar, doesn't really exist. Overall, this place lacks an OBX feel and is in need of a desperate facelift. The hostess lacked emotion, didn't seem pleasant but the other folks helping seemed nice. Leaving this review to help new customers, not to bash. Constructive criticism.

Dare Devils is one of my favorite places to eat in the OBX! The place itself is very casual and the food is extremely delicious. We tend to order Stromboli or the Italian sub (hot). The restaurant has made some changes (no longer full service), but given how difficult it is to find/keep good help everywhere you go the new setup works. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Only negative I might have is that they no longer serve fountain sodas - they now have cans or bottles. However, if you drink water or tea (sweet and unsweetened available), there are unlimited refills. The sauce used on the Stromboli and pizzas is very flavorful. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

We were really glad to find and try Dare Devil's Pizza during our stay in OBX. We liked it. We tried the Dare Devil pizza, which was like a supreme pizza, and the Italian Sub and both were great. We'll definitely visit this little place again next time we're in town. read more

People don't really tend to think of eating pizza when you're at the beach.. but that's exactly what we ended up doing. If you're starving after exploring the Sand Dunes which is less than a mile away, this is a good place to go afterwards to satisfy your hunger. 7 of us Split two large pizzas: Crazy Greek and the BBQ chicken. I don't remember the last time I had BBQ chicken pizza just b/c Chicken can be easily overcooked. The one here was an exception.. the BBQ chicken pizza was delicious! Chicken was cooked perfectly, BBQ sauce was a little tangy/sweet and worked well with the bacon. Greek pizza was just okay to me.. Dont get me wrong, I love spinach and feta cheese with tomatos, but for someone the flavors just weren't there for me. 7 bucks (including tip) for each person was a pretty good deal. P.S.- they ONLY have unsweetened iced tea here. This was almost a deal braker for me. read more

Great place to bring your family for pizza! All of the staff is super friendly and the pizza tastes pretty good! The cheese bread was no the road but the pizza tasted great and the Greek salad was tasty also. Prices were really reasonable for the area. Very kid friendly as the two-year-old really enjoy the pizza! read more

Came here for dinner after seeing great reviews on yelp. Cute little local place and great wait staff. Our waitress Ashley was freaking awesome. Super fun and super great. We started with the Dare Devil Long Island Ice Tea and wowzers that was good and strong. Also had the garlic bread for a starter and yum o yum. Tasty and perfectly crisp. We got a small greek pizza, add chicken and it was good. I thought it could use a tad more flavor but the kick of the feta cheese made it so good. Can't wait to come back read more

We are here vacationing from Virginia and took our grandkids there last night for pizza! It was good- a little bit thicker crust than back home! Kids loved it and that's what mattered! And Sue was an excellent server! Tonight we stayed in to watch the Kentucky Derby with the kids and grandkids. We ordered bbq wings, Cajun wings, fries, garden salads and chicken tenders. Wished I had taken a picture because it is all gone now. My husband said we will go there again when we come back! read more

Garbage service. Tells you it's going to be 35 minutes, walk in and acted like we had ordered 5 minutes ago. Says it'll be about 10 minutes from there. Only to find out it's another 20 minutes. Finally brings it out and says first thing "he's your order but it's not right" what the ???? 40 minutes after we were told to be there. Tried to make it right with a free pizza of some Greek garbage. The food he did finally bring out to us was ICE COLD WHOOP WHOOP. Avoid at all cost. I'd rather give my money to dominos of all places for crying out loud. read more

Ordered a simple cheese pizza, very rubbery, cheese was burnt, not warm, soggy box. Also ordered chicken tendered and fries, chicken was very very burnt and not good. Typically not a picky eater, but not sure how this simple order was goofed! Overall timing for pickup was very quick and staff was friendly. read more

Pizza itself was good, but unfortunately we called numerous times and they were so busy they couldn't answer and the mailbox was full. So we had to physically go to the restaurant. We ordered a mushroom and pepperoni pizza and got a pineapple and ham pizza. Our fries were not well done as asked. Our gluten free white pizza didn't have ricotta. read more

Another go to when in Outer Banks. We have eaten in and ordered to go for the past 5 years. If you eat in and only have 2, sit at the bar. The girls are SO friendly and responsive. Cold beer, great service and even better pizza. If you sit at the bar you can fully grasp how much this place is revered. Watch how many to go orders get phoned in and picked up. You will see everything from single pizzas to a 10 pizza to go order. Obviously their business speaks for itself. I will continue to go there every year. read more

A great find staffed by friendly and attentive folks! We happened upon this spot and are fortunate to have done so! They are doing a good job working under COVID-19 guidelines, and we were able to be seated without a wait! This was the first time this has happened during our trip. The waitress was prompt and kind. The pizza very tasty and delivered to our table in a short amount of time. I have to give a plug to the meatballs which were a super part of our pizza! The garden salad was, as many of them are, forgettable. But the overall experience was great from start to finish. We would definitely recommend! read more

We had the Geek and Dare Devil pizzas. Both were good but the pizza wasn't anything special. Stromboli was doughy but was stuffed well with ingredients. Not something I would get again but glad I got to check out a local pizza place. read more

Omg. This place is awesome. There were 4 of us. The other couple got a pizza and they said it was the best pizza they have ever had. My husband and I got subs and you could get the add-ons for nothing. Our little waitress, Alissa, was amazing. She was friendly, timely and dedicated. I had asked for all of the add ons and they questioned if that's what I really wanted. It wasn't. So I had the chance to correct it. We would definitely come back here. read more

Really good sauce! That makes it for me. And the wings are very good too. It's a small, locally owned pizza place that serves good food. Small bar area with a couple of TV's. Staff is friendly, and prices are reasonable. The stromboli is great! Been here many times just for that. In fact, when I moved here in the late 80s it was the first stromboli I ever had. read more

We did a takeout order for our large group. When we cashed out they just stacked all our foam co drivers and ranch/blue cheese cups in to of our pizza boxes. Better customer service would have been to bag the small items. When we got back to our beach house, the food was mediocre. Nothing exceptional about it. My second pizzeria visit this week was Village Pizzeria and they were superior in quality, taste, value. read more

Not good at all. I would not recommend it. After waiting for at least 40 minutes they brought out the wrong pizza. Then we learned they lost our order ticket. My thought was.... We are on vacation and I'm no hurry. Then the pizza arrives and the crust is limp, uncooked. The crust was a mess of uncooked dough. Save your money and your time it's not worth it. BTW, the Greek pizza is just not good!!! read more

My husband and I are locals and tonight we decided we wanted take out from Dare Devil. He got the big Stromboli and I got a steak and cheese sub. My sandwich was tasty but the bread on the bottom was a little soggy and they forgot my pickle! I was looking forward to that pickle! My husbands Stromboli was a bit doughy but stuffed well. But they forgot to give him dipping sauce! How can you forget the sauce!! The food is really tasty but those little extras mean a lot to a gal. Please work on your take out skills. We will be back! They gave a killer smoked turkey sub too! Yum! read more

I very rarely give a five star rating, but I liked the beer selection, bartenders were friendly, and we got to sample a couple of beers before landing on our favorites. We liked the beer so much we even took a growler home ($18). We liked the saison best, but the porter was also nice. Pumpkin beer was not my favorite, but it never is... Only down side was that there were no prices posted or on the menu (one of my pet peeves). But dogs are also welcome inside, which puts them back in the 5 star territory (and they have a bathroom unlike the Ten O Six restaurant at the other end of the strip owned by the same people).

I highly recommend to any OBX patrons to stop by and see and taste the wide range of choices for yourself. Bring the pup if you have one ( on a leash ).

We were especially disappointed because we've had positive experiences here in the past and have always enjoyed the food. While the food has consistently been good, this particular customer service experience left a negative impression and has made us reconsider returning in the future. We hope this feedback is helpful, as we'd love to see the level of customer service match the quality of the food.
