Fantastic pizza!!!!! Staff was pleasant and the food was delicious! Nothin but good to share!

While taking a family vacation to the Outer Banks, we decided to have some pizza for a late lunch. Yelp showed us this place and we decided to try it. Definitely a good decision! The food was fantastic...got a Stromboli and a small pizza and some fries, among other things. No one had any complaints! The service was very great, with no delays, and timely check-ins to see how we were doing and get us refills. The atmosphere was nice, with some big TVs displaying the soccer game. They had a nice selection of alcoholic drinks for those of you who like that. Conclusion; Dare Devil Pizzeria is a great place and has our recommendation to anyone, and if we ever make this vacation an annual thing we'll definitely be coming back! read more

Nice place, good beer selection (Fat Tire, Natty Greene) but pizza is meh. Bland, lacks spice and seasoning. Light on sauce. Crust doughy and limp. Greek pizza Found the FL gift card. crust should be buttery and crisp. On plus side, pizzas with toppings come loaded. read more

We come here every year. $20 basically for a large multi-topping. Always amazing, but the hungrier you are and the freshest you can get the pizza, the better. The first time my husband took me we had walked the dunes for hours and I was starved. I thought it was the greatest pizza I'd ever had in my life (and I've been to the famous joints both in NYC and Chicago). Only thing I can complain about is the Greek Pizza doesn't include olives. Tried the Greek specialty pizza today, it looked very good but when we ate it the cheese was cold, very chewy, and stuck to the dough like it has been cooked prior and reheated. This was a disappointment, as we paid $30 for a large pizza and chicken wings. I will say the BBQ chicken wings were very good, as was the dough. Long time annual customers from OBX Beach Club across the street. We have been coming here for as long as this place was open. Our tradition may have ended tonight. The service was extremely slow: I had to get and distribute our menus and practically pick up the pizza after seeing it sitting there for ten minutes. Decided to stop in for pizza and wings. The pizza had a great crust, sauce and was cooked just perfectly. The wings, however, tasted like the precooked, Tyson's wings you get in the frozen section or like the wings you get from Dominoes. Real slimy and fatty. We have a hard time finding pizza places because my daughter is gluten free. When on vacation finding GF options, especially pizza options, is that much more difficult. We were quite pleasantly surprised when we not only found out that Dare Devil Pizza served GF pizzas but the regular menu was exceptional in terms of variety. The GF crust is by far, hands down, the very best GF Pizza Crust we have tried yet. Not only was it crispy on the outside but it was chewy and doughy on it inside. It is very difficult to get both qualities in a GF pizza. The sauce was fresh with a zesty zip. Top notch GF and no sign of cross contamination at all! The menu will not disappoint. I've traveled to Outer Banks since I was very young. We always went to Dare Devils once a year. I am now 24 and this is still the best pizza I have ever had! The atmosphere is always friendly. The food is always great. They are always helpful and generous with the food. I recommend Dare Devils to anyone who is visiting. read more

The pizza was very good and we were able to get a table for our large group with no problem during lunch time. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been if they had a changing table in the restroom. Great food. We went here for dinner on the last day of our vacation and really enjoyed our meal. We all got pizza. I got a small chicken, bacon, and pepperoni pizza and it was probably some of the best pizza I've had. My brother and mother shared a large pepperoni pizza with no complaints. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The only reason I took off a star was because the parking was not arranged well. There were people parking behind people thus blocking them in. Also, it is a tight fit. If you plan on going in around dinner on a Friday or Saturday, expect to have to talk loudly and the possibility of close, screaming children. I wouldn't suggest This place for a large group. If you have more than 8, I'd just do pick up so y'all can still enjoy this great place! read more

We came at 5:30 on a Friday evening in September and was seated immediately. Wait staff was quick and courteous. We ordered cheese sticks, which we got quickly and a large pizza. We got hosed. Called this place for a take out order. Asked for a large cheese for $12.99, and a small pepperoni (they dont make medium). So we get there and go to pay and the bill is $27~. Uhm....what? Ask the girl how the total for a large and small was $27 when half the price is a large. Says the small is only .50 cents less. Gtfo. They were actually serious too. We expressed our disappointment with this lack of pizza for the price, but received literally nothing in return. No apology, no offer to right the wrong, not even any anger lol!! They were completely apathetic to our issue, and just swiped the card away. I can recognize that as a consumer, its my job to understand the price of things that I buy, but as a business, would it not be beneficial to showcase a little customer service to patrons who are on the phones by letting them know they can receive a better deal?? We love eating at Dare Devils and frequently come since we live here. This visit we were very dissatisfied with the pizza. It tasted like cardboard or like it had been reheated. We informed our waitress and the response was well the manager said it was made the same way it has always been made. The manager did not come speak to us and no it was not! It was dry, chewy and with no sauce. This is not the Dare Devils we love and we have been used to. My family recently went to OBX for a week and Dare Devil's was located right next door to our condo. We tried it one night for dinner and we really enjoyed it.
