They have seasonal hours so when I checked yelp it said 4-9 but they open at 11 in the summer. We got a small bbq chicken pizza and onion straws. They were both awesome!! Small pizza was just enough for two people. Our first time here but we will be sure to return next year. read more

Trying to find a restaurant in Nags Head at 6 pm on a Friday night without an hour wait is a fool's errand. We happened to pass by this place and noticed a few empty parking spots so Pizza it was! Unfortunately I was soon to see why this was the only place with no wait. I ordered the cheesesteak with grilled onions and peppers. They didn't feel grilled at all. The use of mozzarella on a cheesesteak is also a poor choice. The meat was scarce and the bun was small for $12. If you have ever had the cheesesteak at Dominos, that's what you are getting here minus the flavor. I asked the others in my party what they thought. 3 had wings and all agreed they were basic at best. The kids had pizza. I did try this. They did look nice but the dough was undercooked and honestly so flavorless it made me question my covid status. For a family of 8 the cost was almost $200. I get it's a resort town and the cost will understandably be more but this just left me feeling like this is a place I won't return to. On a positive side, it was clean and the staff felt friendly. I did notice a lady by herself with two active young ones picking up a to go order and the man who appeared to be the manager not only held the door for her but carried the food to the car so she could handle the kids. That was a rare glimpse into the good service that seems to be lost in most places the last few years. I'm not saying don't go. It might have been a bad night, but quality wise it just reminded me of the dinner you would get at any Sabarro in any food court in any mall. Nothing stood out but the bill. read more

While taking a family vacation to the Outer Banks, we decided to have some pizza for a late lunch. Yelp showed us this place and we decided to try it. Definitely a good decision! The food was fantastic...got a Stromboli and a small pizza and some fries, among other things. No one had any complaints! The service was very great, with no delays, and timely check-ins to see how we were doing and get us refills. The atmosphere was nice, with some big TVs displaying the soccer game. They had a nice selection of alcoholic drinks for those of you who like that. Conclusion; Dare Devil Pizzeria is a great place and has our recommendation to anyone, and if we ever make this vacation an annual thing we'll definitely be coming back! read more

We come here every year. $20 basically for a large multi-topping. Always amazing, but the hungrier you are and the freshest you can get the pizza, the better. The first time my husband took me we had walked the dunes for hours and I was starved. I thought it was the greatest pizza I'd ever had in my life (and I've been to the famous joints both in NYC and Chicago). Only thing I can complain about is the Greek Pizza doesn't include olives. Great local, family-owned pizzeria that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. We ordered for pick-up, and we really enjoyed their food. Everything tastes freshly made with quality ingredients. For some reason, although we have been coming to OBX for a while, this was the first time we tried it. We definitely will be back. Their meat lasagna is particularly good - a generous serving that was nicely seasoned, with a good balance of sauce, lasagna sheets, meat (I think sausage), and cheese. It felt homemade, like a big hug. The lasagna came with a simple but delicious salad of romaine lettuce, red onion, bell pepper, and homemade croutons. The salad was so fresh that everything was crisp and juicy. The Italian dressing also tasted homemade and was well-seasoned. It also came with two pieces of garlic bread (but we were too full to eat them). We also ordered their cheese pizza, which tasted fresh. It is not thin crust, but more like a not-too-deep dish pan pizza. The flavors were nice. In all, Dare Devil's struck me as a place that takes great pride in their food. I sensed a lot of love and care in their dishes. It's a great, family-run restaurant, and I can see why it has been around for three decades. Highly recommend. read more

Tried the Greek specialty pizza today, it looked very good but when we ate it the cheese was cold, very chewy, and stuck to the dough like it has been cooked prior and reheated. This was a disappointment, as we paid $30 for a large pizza and chicken wings. I will say the BBQ chicken wings were very good, as was the dough. We have a hard time finding pizza places because my daughter is gluten free. When on vacation finding GF options, especially pizza options, is that much more difficult. We were quite pleasantly surprised when we not only found out that Dare Devil Pizza served GF pizzas but the regular menu was exceptional in terms of variety. The GF crust is by far, hands down, the very best GF Pizza Crust we have tried yet. Not only was it crispy on the outside but it was chewy and doughy on it inside. It is very difficult to get both qualities in a GF pizza. The sauce was fresh with a zesty zip. Top notch GF and no sign of cross contamination at all! The menu will not disappoint. Decided to stop in for pizza and wings. The pizza had a great crust, sauce and was cooked just perfectly. The wings, however, tasted like the precooked, Tyson's wings you get in the frozen section or like the wings you get from Dominoes. Real slimy and fatty. Great food. We went here for dinner on the last day of our vacation and really enjoyed our meal. We all got pizza. I got a small chicken, bacon, and pepperoni pizza and it was probably some of the best pizza I've had. My brother and mother shared a large pepperoni pizza with no complaints. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The only reason I took off a star was because the parking was not arranged well. There were people parking behind people thus blocking them in. Also, it is a tight fit. If you plan on going in around dinner on a Friday or Saturday, expect to have to talk loudly and the possibility of close, screaming children. The pizza was very good and we were able to get a table for our large group with no problem during lunch time. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been if they had a changing table in the restroom. We got hosed. Called this place for a take out order. Asked for a large cheese for $12.99, and a small pepperoni (they dont make medium). So we get there and go to pay and the bill is $27~. We expressed our disappointment with this lack of pizza for the price, but received literally nothing in return. No apology, no offer to right the wrong, not even any anger lol!! They were completely apathetic to our issue, and just swiped the card away.
