Service was a little lackluster, our drink order was messed up initially and we needed refills at multiple points throughout dinner & had to flag someone down. I had their Poblano Soup & it was so good! very filling and delicious. I had their cheesecake and was sad that it came out plain. I had such a great experience at Dapper Dine! Such a cute little set up! Pretty sure this use to be a bank but they turned it into such a cute restaurant. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and I loved all the green decor. I ordered the tequila pasta with chicken instead of shrimp and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked with such a great balance of flavors with the onions and peppers. To go with it, I tried the Melon Breeze cocktail which was refreshing and so good. Our waitress, Ashley, was amazing. Super attentive, friendly, and really helpful with recommendations. She made the whole dining experience even better. Sadly I had a terrible experience here. We went on Monday to celebrate my mother's birthday but had multiple issues happen. During dinner, my younger sister was eating her mashed potatoes and suddenly stopped. She pulled out a medium sized, thick plastic piece from her mouth. It took about 20 mins for me to wave someone down to inform of the plastic. They apologized and replaced her potatoes. Needless to say she did not eat them. She completely lost her appetite after that. The waiter then refilled our sodas. I was about to take a drink and my other sister stopped me to tell me there was hair in my soda. I looked and saw a large black curly hair sticking out of the soda. I almost puked with how disgusted I was. I called the server over once more and showed him. I told him there's no way that could be our hair as we were both blonde and that was a black curly hair. He apologized again and brought new sodas. At this point we asked for the checks. We never saw a manager which completely shocked me seeing how these were not minor errors. As it was my mother's birthday, I did not want to push further. I waited until the following day to contact the restaurant. I did contact the restaurant the following day, which is now Tuesday, when they opened at 11am and spoke to the manager Melissa. I informed her what happened and she apologized and asked if they comped out any meals or if anyone spoke to us. I informed her no one came to speak to us and nothing was comped. She then pulled up our table and reviewed our payments and confirmed nothing was comped. She apologized and obtained my name and number and informed me she would look into it further and see if she can possibly refund some of the meal on the back end and would call me in a few hours. I never got a call. This now brings us to Wednesday. It is now about 3pm and I have still yet to hear anything from the manager Melissa as promised. So I decided to contact the restaurant once more. The person who answered informed me that the manager does not take calls and only takes emails. Which I find a bit absurd. I informed the person who answered that I spoke to the manager Melissa yesterday and was following up as she never returned my call. The person told me to hold. She returned to the call and informed me that the manager was busy and obtained my name and telephone number once more. I once again provided my contact information and was expecting a call. Unfortunately that call never came. It is now Thursday after 4pm and I have yet to hear from the manager. At this point I feel like it's necessary to leave a review as this is completely rude and uncalled for. After so many errors I would think an establishment that is trying to create an upscale feeling would actually operate as an upscale establishment. I have been to many high end restaurants and I can tell you one thing, their customer service is always exceptional! This establishment won't last long if this is how they quality control their kitchen and how disrespectfully they treat their patrons. Do better Dapper! read more

A couple of us met up with a friend to celebrate her birthday and we were excited cause it was our first time at Dapper. The experience quickly went downhill when the waitress Sheree didn't check on our table often. My friends were able to order a round of shots before our food arrived, I did not partake since I am pregnant, and ordered one more after they were done eating. We were missing 2 shots and tried to find our waitress but couldn't seem to track her down. We asked another staff member passing by in which she said she would let Sheree know. 10 min later and still nothing. When we finally had her back at the table she let us know she thought the shots ordered were for the same people and said management was trying to slow down our table and pace everyone. (There was only 1 shot consumed at that moment) and proceeded to ask the 2 left out if they wanted a single or a double shot. In what world does it make sense to say you're slowing down our table and offer a double shot? Really started to make sense when we seen gratuity was included in our party of 6, but it was not vocalized to us, nor is it anywhere printed on their menu!! After all of this we still ordered dessert and asked for the check. Which we waited for until almost closing and had to ask a busser to again ask our waitress for our check. The lobster pasta is better than an Italian restaurant in Irvine, I promise it is well made and not too much for the stomach. My Son is spending his first birthday away from home since starting college. His sweet girlfriend planned dinner for him here. I called earlier in the day and told the hostess I'd like to pay for their meal and asked how to best do that. She said it would be no problem and to call back once they arrived at the restaurant. Juliette was our server and she gave some good recommendations. We ordered the crab cakes which were so delicious. For my entree I ordered the Dapper King Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. I also ordered the Georgia Peach Mocktail. My salmon was a bit salty but I still enjoyed my meal overall. They do not have a bread service but have garlic toast you can order which I did. After taking one bite of the garlic toast, I sent it back. It tasted burnt. My friend ordered the chipotle chicken pasta which she rated 7/10. It's too bad there's no live music because I'm sure it would it would be even a better place to dine. Overall I would come back and try their other entrees.
