We spent the night in a cute AirBNB cabin in Evergreen and I was looking on Yelp and my fellow Yelpers did NOT disappoint! This little cafe is so amazingly delicious! While they are experiencing the low staffing issues as every business, the food is worth the wait!! My husband got their smothered breakfast burrito and the green chile was SPICY! It wasn't just heat hot but had delicious flavor. I had their bananas foster french toast and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder because I can never resist a NE Clam Chowder. Well, the french toast was so yummy!! It was perfect in every way and bananas foster is my favorite dessert, so I figured I would love this! The New England Clam Chowder is equally amazing! If you're ever in Evergreen, you need to try Dandelions Cafe!!

Chili Relleno wrapped in scrambled eggs- soo good!

Really great and unique food- very tasty! Excellent service! Sat outside on a beautiful Fall day and it was the perfect brunch!

We came here afterwards hike and it hit the spot! FOOD + We had the French toast and omelette (special of the day on a Saturday). Both plates were delicious and filling. + The potatoes were especially delicious - would've loved to have more of those! LOCATION + Nearby other restaurants and in the middle of pretty mountains. They have an outdoor patio (you can't eat inside due to COVID). It's very nice to sit out there, especially since it's shaded. + Plenty of parking spaces SERVICE + Very friendly and accommodating! This is a great place if you're looking for yummy comfort food after a long morning of hiking.

Sitting at the bar, what a cute place.

Food is Not good. Bad service. Over hour wait for food. Cute porch but not worth your time. Skip this spot.

We have recently started buying the entrees. Wow! Can't say enough good things about them. My…read morefavorite is the Classic Meatloaf. 2nd is a variety of Italian dishes; pizza, calzone, & baked ziti (combo cream and tomato sauce) with sausage. I love basically anything with their marinara sauce in it. The flavor is fantastic! 3rd is probably the bagels with the Everything bagel and the 3 Cheese bagels being my top two. Although the Jalapeño and Cheese bagel is up there if I could tolerate the spice. After that I love the Orange Chicken. It is breaded chicken with great orange sauce that I add stir fry veggies to. Sweet and Sour Chicken is good also. Can't forget to mention the delicious enchiladas which I eat with a salad to make more of a taco salad. For most things we add our own veggies to make a complete meal. The cooking instructions have been good except we've had trouble getting the pizza crust to cook through. What seems to work after much trial and error is 20 min. at 425 in our oven style airfryer on the metal pan. Pizza should look fully cooked and cheese browning in the center. Remove, add our own toppings and then 10 more min. at 425. The second bake could probably be longer so I will try that next time. Pic attached of the end result pizza. While the very outside of the crust gets a little charred the bottom is fine and this second bake seems to help get the crust cooked. Did a calzone this morning and since it is prebaked the heating instructions worked just fine. It was deliciously crisp and could be eaten as a finger food. We also liked the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread but the garlic bread isn't wrapped well in the foil so was soggy. The apple bacon french toast was fantastic but I would prefer no bacon on it. The bacon is thick cut so just ends up being soggy. Apple topped french toast alone would be A+. In terms of other sweets I can't have Xanthan Gum so am limited to their donuts and danishes. The filled donuts are excellent but the regular, while not being cake style (which is a plus) have a taste to the grease that I don't care for. The filled are fried the same but because of the delicious filling you don't taste the grease. The danishes are a favorite but they all come with cheese filling in addition to the fruit so make sure you choose a fruit that goes with their cheesecake like cheese filling. I had gotten tired of eating my own food and am so happy that I have Blue Hummingbird's entrees to fall back on.

Ended up getting a strawberry rhubarb pie, pumpkin pecan pies and a variety of cupcakes. Their Strawberry Rhubarb pie was our favorite. Loved the berry spread with pesto. Thai noodle dish with Tofu. Also delicious. I loved the assortment of ingredients. I wanted something yummy warm and noodly and it hit the spot. Turmeric ginger lemonade. A bit sweet. We diluted it with our water. But it was still nice and came with an edible flower. The waitress was informative and nice.

While visiting Colorado over the weekend, I stopped in at Allergy Free Baking Company, a walk-in bakery in Morrison, Colorado that specializes is gluten-free, dairy-free, treenut-free and peanut-free baked goods. I purchased a cinnamon roll for $6 and an oatmeal cream pie / whoopie pie for $5.50. Sales tax is an additional 8.25% ~~ Whoopie Pie ~~ The whoopie pie was gigantic and took me 2 days to finish eating. For $5.25, it was larger and better priced than other gluten-free bakeries I've been to. When we eneterd the restaurant the gentleman at the register was really helpful and pointed out that the whole 30 version of the menu item can greatly differ from the description often removing items. For example, if you are looking forward to the chicken and dumplings, beware if you select the whole 30 option NO DUMPLINGS. My salad had lots of ingredients, however, the whole 30 version only had beets and almond flour feta (which was delicious, ps) but a lack luster salad. I'm not sure why they wouldn't replace the pickled onions in the salad with fresh onions so it didn't look as sad. The green chili wasn't spicy (which is probably good for some) and was cumin forward. Not bad. Matt enjoyed it, although it had the vegan cheese wiz, which I am pretty sure shouldn't have been on the whole 30 option- we picked it out. The Buffalo cauliflower was an excellent portion and was good! The vegan ranch was watery and not what we expected, but also not bad. Spicy options for those of you like me are chaloula and I saw them with Frank's red hot, but you will have to ask the kitchen for it. It was cozy inside and as I mentioned the service was good. However, I'm not sure we would go back until they have a menu change.

The Secret's Out: Why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge is Our Forever Favorite…read moreFor a few years now, my wife and I have considered this place our little "under-the-radar" sanctuary. But let's be honest--when a spot is this good, a secret stays a secret for about as long as a fresh loaf of their bread lasts on a table. (Which is to say: not long at all.) Here is why Evergreen Bread & Cocktail Lounge remains our absolute go-to: * The Vibe: The atmosphere strikes that perfect, rare balance between sophisticated and soulful. Whether you're there for a quiet morning reflective coffee or a lively evening drink, the ambiance just works. * The Bread (Oh, The Bread!): It's the undisputed star of the show. It's consistent, artisanal, and frankly, addictive. If you haven't tried it yet, consider this your formal intervention. * More Than Just a Bakery: They consistently turn out dishes that are as thoughtful as they are delicious. From the first bite to the last sip of coffee, you can tell the kitchen actually cares. * The People: A restaurant can have great decor, but it's the staff that gives it a heart. The team here couldn't be warmer or more attentive; they make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. The Verdict? If you're looking for a spot that nails the transition from "morning bakery bliss" to "evening lounge elegance," this is it. We're already counting down the days until our next visit. Highly recommended--just don't be surprised if you have to fight us for a seat!
